I downvolted basically all cores in my case and saved a few watts, runs very stable but you need AMD drivers 21.50.2 or 22.10.2 (faster) to improve stability and performance, if you upgrade the drivers you'll have more stability and shares.

Yes too high for ethermine, but works good on 2miners.com, nanopool.org , miningpoolhub.com and around 50% of the largest pools for ethereum.

I used to mine on 2miners but profit declined so I moved to Ethermine. Default settings are ok for stales, I'll monitor the average hashrate that seems just a little lower compared to Gminet/T-Rex but shares are absolutly very close, so probably TBM is not inflating a bit

You probably want to put the intensity to about 4000 on the A2000 (which has the 192bit memory bus) and 2800 on the A4000 (which has the 256bit memory bus).

I tried 4000 but seem too high for Ethermine, too many stale shares. I also tried 3100 that seem too high too, is there a ratio/multiplier to consider for fine tuning? Minimum for Nvidia is actually 224.

I did not get why starts very stong and then goes lower and lower, probably temperatures

SSL is working fine and stability improved a lot, I'm actually testing NVIDIA RTX A2000 and RTX A4000, results are quite good but I can't find a sweet spot for xintensity level. Can you suggest a recommended value?

I'm testing the latest beta in HiveOS, I enable R-mode but I get this error:

I'm running the 5.11.1001 AMD drivers that HiveOS provides -- I've messed around with updating the AMD drivers before and while it's possible -- there's always something that breaks because of it.  I added 48G of swap, but 'free -m' is showing I don't need any swap and there is still roughly 12 GB of free RAM. I am running the TBM code supplied by hive for version 1.61, so all the files are what is found within the distro.

I punched up the voltages and switched mining over to MiningPoolHub to see if there was any difference and I still had an AMD GPU timeout on me... Next step is to drop the intensity values on a couple of cards to see if they remain functional and only the higher intensity cards fail.

I'm also getting a 3090Ti delivered in a couple of days -- I'm curious to see how much I can crank out of that card!

Just curious, how did you upgrade the HiveOS AMD drivers? It seems like it's quite tricky, I need to test latest 21.50 because I have an unsupported APU that does not work with 20.40

In v0.9.4 dual mining is super improved, TON+ETH is more stable, higher hashrate compared to previous versions and more shares (Hiveon +3/4%).

Kudos to the developers for the great job, it's good to see how skilled programmers can still add value to an almost perfect product

Test with my 6900xt - 61mh on ETH and 5gh/s on TON | lolminer - ETH 61mh and 3,75gh/s on TON

Yep, unsupported pool at the moment, working with ton.hashrate.to:4002.

I suppose I'll be paid by the pool on the TON wallet when payout is reached for ETH but not 100% sure

I hope it will fix the issue, Hiveos has not realeased an update with 1.45 so I can't test it yet

Just wget the tar file, decompress it and copy the TBMiner executable into the existing HiveOS generated TBMiner directory.  There's no other binaries that you need and the configuration is the same.


Thank for the tip, they've already released the update. Now it's working, problem with AMD rig and Ubuntu fixed

The ethproxy protocol need the full hash sent to the pool, this is calculated with the CPU. I see that other miningsoftware have moved the cpu verification and submit code to it's own thread. This might help abit. TBMiner is not working good on low difficulty pools because of this.

Understood. The higher the difficulty the best TBM can do, from my experience Hiveon is one of the pools with the lowest difficulty. You're in the right direction to 100% solve the issue but you have to rewrite the code for this pool and run a special kernel when hiveon is detected.

Xintensity is 71 by default for this pool, I suppose is by design but does not look that fast from my tests, share ratio is still higher with lolminer

It used to be higher. We tried to improve it, but it keeps coming back.

The hiveon pool have 0% fee, so even with 0.5% rejected you should get more shares than on the other pools you listed. The hiveon pool is using the ETHPROXY protocol and different code in the miner than the 2miners and crazypool.

Hiveon has a higher share per minute rate compared to other pools, it seems TBM is not able to run 100% stable at that quicker rhythm. Probably is not fully integrated with ETHPROXY protocol but rejected are possible with other miners too because of that difference, despite being very rare. Did you try to optimize the code to speed things up during mining? I suspect it goes kind of "out of sync" at times

Make sure that -J 1 is not passed. The program should autotune, or you can set -J -1 to force autotune.

You need to find out why your cards in the rig is using 168- 241 watt. Cards seems to trottle. (downclock and perform poorly) They need to run at the same wattage all the time. Did you manage to run them in p0 state?

About Hiveon pool rejected shares are always a problem, 1/2% average (tried xintensity 71 and 24), while they are close to zero in crazypool or 2miners  for example

We need to add support in v1.41

Ok thanks. Not a big problem but otherwise you have to manually nano the config file I suppose, actually is not possible to mine with HiveOS and 1.40
