I keep on V8 but the hash drop from 5150k to 3700k
From claymore to xmr stack. But even with 3700k the stats show i make more xmrThat when i have Higher hash. Lets see Next couple days.
I Will have to perform dual threath if i want more hash.
Power its arround the same now but with a lot less hash.
Measure on wall.
I like project like graft and Stellite so lets see.

Do you use the R9 290/390 or other cards?

I use the 390, with XMR stak.

The core/mem is 830/1000MHz. I found there is no difference between 1000 and 1250MHz in the memory clock.

The hash rate is about 600H/s. In order to achieve that speed, I have to change the "worksize" : to 16, let it run a while (hash rate is about 570H/s), then stop the miner and  change it to 8.

I only run them using 1 thread.

"gpu_threads_conf" : [

Re: 2018-04-25 Fortune.com - Investor Is Predicting Bitcoin Could Hit $700,000
by

on 26/04/2018, 16:15:57 UTC
Has anyone read the article maybe to see on what this investor is based his speculation and how much is the odd that this will ever happen? This price of 700k $ would be possible only if all foreign reserves(fiat&gold) worth 12.7$ trillion is converted in BTC,in what SF movie such a scenario is possible?Even he say that odd for that is 1%...

He is also speculating about theory that 1.6$ trillion worth gold which is in private hands miraculously be turned into BTC,in that case 1 BTC would be worth "only" 90 000$.Of course the media always emphasize the bigger numbers, which is the case here-but this speculation is in the same category with John McAfee 1$ million prediction-with only one difference,John Pfeffer did not have time frame for his prediction.

I think it is quite unrealistic for the price to be that high in the next 5 years. It might happen in 20 years.

Re: [2017-11-08]Segwit2x "suspending our plans for the upcoming 2MB upgrade"
by
Dolmater
on 09/11/2017, 12:20:29 UTC
what would be the best solution for decreasing transaction fees to rational level? Rational being that it could be rational to use these transactions in every day payments.

One solution exists already (Segwit 4MB blocks), but it's not fully adopted yet. It will take time for Segwit to have it's full impact on fee reduction...

Do you have any idea why Segwit adoption has stalled in the last ~3000 blocks?

http://segwit.party/charts/#
(pick the "since activation" option)

After a steady rise the percentage of Segwit transactions compared to all BTC transactions peaked at roughly 18 % and then
was followed by a really steep decline (down to nearly 9 % of all transactions). Currently, it hovers around 10 % of all
BTC transactions.

Have some big exchanges or payment providers stopped using Segwit addresses? I really have no idea what could have
caused this steep decline. I would have assumed the adoption would continue gradually over time, because obviously people
and service providers are incentivized to make use of Segwit addresses due to cheaper fees.

I thin the Segwit transaction uses more block space comprared to the conventional transaction. So people do not use that if they want decentralization.

It is quite strange for ETH deposit not to show up soon. Usually this happens to smaller coins.

"pro-Core, pro-Segwit", so you are anti-Satoshi? I signed up for Satoshi's Bitcoin, a "P2P electronic cash system". Not a Bitcoin that requires 3rd party permission (lightning network), to transact.

BCash is really the original Bitcoin with simple scaling implemented.

BSegwit is an abomination to me, a centralized elitist altcoin that has very little to do with the original Bitcoin now. Sure it's going up in price all the time, that's cool, but it ain't Bitcoin, it's BSegwit altcoin based on Bitcoin and uses Bitcoin blockchain as its transaction history.

Anti-Satoshi? No, I am pro-decentralization and anti-Bitmain. Are you a pro-Bitmain? Are you willing to accept the network to become controlled by a small group of Chinese miners whose real goal is only to make money?

What do you think of Asic Boost? Do you agree with that?

And who are the BSegwit miners? oh wait, it's the same Chinese miners, what the hell is your point? Chinese miners mining BCash is suddenly evil, but the same miners mining BSegwit is good? They are actually just switching back and forth between the chains now, because PoW miners have no loyalty, they follow where the profit is.

In the minds of some people, if others do not do as they tell them, these people are evil. I think the miners are just chasing profit, like you and me.

this soon will change, the pattern cant hold up for ever, many traders will get burned

what if they are not trading but just buying? since japan accept bitcoin as a payment, they could be the oen leading this pump by buying to use bitcoin mroe thna their currency

yes a dump will occur but hwat matter is that the value will keep climbing eventually

Does anyone have a link to a graph that shows the growth of the market cap of all altcoins (maybe including bitcoin) over time.
The information is available for most coins, but I'm looking for something that sums the market cap of all coins over time.

https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/

I agree with that. The Japanese price is leading the way. It has some actual usage of the bitcoin there.

Site and API seem very unresponsive today - is Poloniex under DDoS attack - or just heavy load?

I think it is heavy load. the XRP is rising fast and volume is huge.

The ETF could still bring Bitcoin down a lot though.  IMO people will expect it to be approved which will cause more of a big pump and loads of people buying Bitcoin, but if it's declined it could cause way less confidence in Bitcoin's future and that could totally mess up this surge of users recently.

So do you want to sell now and buy later?

Dear Poloniex users.

Would you like to lend on Poloniex on autopilot?

The MonetaryUnit team (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322) have just launched our Automated lending bot, which is now available in the MicroSoft app store.
Please see our ANN here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684269

The bot only works if you have a minimum of 100,000 MUE in your BITTREX account.

You can buy MUE from: https://bittrex.com/Market/?MarketName=BTC-MUE

Many thanks

Team MUE Smiley

Can we use it for other coins?

Re: ZCash Mining Guide

Does it work well on the AMD 7970 or the 280X? These are the very popular cards a few years ago.

Well, I've only tested it for a short time doing the mining process on an AMD 7970 but haven't quite started full time mining ZCash with it so the results may vary. But since ZCash's mining algorithm is Equihash, it is more based on the amount of RAM that you have rather than depending more on GPU power.

Just in case, you can check out more info about it here: https://z.cash/blog/why-equihash.html

Now, I would also give a shot at Genesis Mining since they will be having contracts to mine ZCash. It is also a good choice if you prefer to skip setting up the mining rig, and giving it maintenance (also paying electricity costs). But, still as of today mining could be seen more as a hobby since it is not very profitable at all.  Smiley

The Genesis mining contract is too expansive. The 60H costs $2600. With 2x 390x you can get 60H yourself.

The 390x costs about $400 at the moment. That is just 15% of the Genesis mining cost, and you can sell the 390x later.

Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years?

It depends on the standard of living that you consider satisfactory, and the country where you will live, since the cost of living is an important factor. But I believe that anywhere, 100 BTCs would be enough in twenty years.

Indeed.  It also depends on the country you want to retire and live and spend your retirement fund.  I would suggest to live here in our country since cost of living here is cheaper just like countries in Asia.  I would make more bitcoin as far and as long as I can because I do not know what its price is for the next 20 years.

If you want to retire in a country with cheap living cost, it is possible to have 100 bitcoins in a few decades.
i think it would be better to have even more bitcoins because you wouldnt be able to live a decent life
100 bitcoin very viable for the future if the bitcoin price is at least is above $1k.
100 bitcoin can be worth it if your smart enough to manage financial and open a business with a capital of 100 bitcoin.

If you have 100 bitcoin, you may use the bitcoin as a collateral to borrow to spend. The bitcoin will worth more than any other investments.

Any news on the performances on the Pascal gpus?

I can get a stable 31MH/s per card with my 2x MSI 1070 Gaming X cards at 150w per card with OC, stock was 25MH/s, this is on Linux.

(Note: This is my gaming rig, so cards are in a case and connected straight to mobo, no risers and im running X, thus card 0 uses some overhead and has a lower clock&rate.)

That is good performance on the Linux. When will we get similar performance of the Windows. I am waiting to buy a 1070 to run in Windows.

Re: Going to bed, will BTC be $500 or $300 when I wake up?
by

on 27/06/2016, 13:00:53 UTC
Saying the true I'm happy to see that the price is keeping increasing doesn't matter even if it is few dollars, at least to see the green color on the charts Smiley, but i don't think the price will be changed to $500 within a night.

Only on the halving night $500 can be felt within a night. At present the scenario has changed from long time stable price. So we can expect a good price at the time of halving. Only small gradual rise will help in a stabilized growth than the peak.

Even on the halving night the price wont reach 500 i think it will only take place after the halving in a week or two weeks we will feel more the price increase.
It is really hard to know what the value will be of the Bitcoin and there is a chance that it can change in that fast time but you know that the value of the Bitcoin is not reducing.
And it is stable already for a long time so maybe next year the value will rise and can we have some profit.

For now at least we know that it's gonna rise a bit more, since it's the halving season. After that, as we've seen from the past we should expect a  drop. At least that's my forecast for the next few months.

The bitcoin price could go higher when the 0.13 Core Client is released. If there are bugs, it might be lower.

Bitcoin is always changing but not that so fast and that is because it was already stable for a long time so that is really bad for the Bitcoin and for the people that is waiting for a price increase.
Nobody will know what the value will be but I am for sure that the value is going to rise slowly and that would be perfect.
I am also convinced by it. although very difficult to predict the price of bitcoin for now, but I'm pretty sure when you sleep and wake up, you would see prices rise slowly bitcoin

When I waked up this morning, the bitcoin price was $508. That was $20 more than yesterday. I was surprised.

The chance of this happening is pretty small and will not happen. For the price to drop $200 in one night is very unlikely so you do not have to worry about this happening.

In a small exchange, if the buy wall is thin, a few thousand bitcoin can crash the price by $200. But not many people will try that.

The price will not drop below $400 at time soon. The price is consolidating above that level for some time.

It depends on you really, if you are wasting 1000$ per day you will need a huge amount of bitcoins. You are using 10$ per day, ok you need in 100 times less bitcoins.

It may be that bitcoins do not hold any value after 20 years. Bitcoins are not a reliable currency currently and it has been here for very less time compared to other currencies but the future of bitcoin is not predictable. Soon it may be replaced by another currency.

Yeah and thinking of 20 years would be the waste of time, its better we keep on earning from it since it is alive and popular as anything is possible with bitcoin in future.

In 20 years, the price will be around $100,000. So you need about 20 bitcoin to live happily, no worry about money at all.
