Since Altilly Exchange is offering free listings, can BTX be added there?

"0.0.0.0" is an alias to "all interfaces of the local machine". So failure to bind to "0.0.0.0:8555" means the program cannot open the port on your local machine (so the problem is on the local machine, not on an external gateway).

There generally could be two reasons: 1) That port is already opened by some other program; 2) you have a general problem with access to ports (or to any network resources) on that machine. The first assumption could be resolved by running TCPView and checking whether you have any program bound to the ports in question; the second assumption could be checked by the same TCPView - to see if you have ANY program successfully bound to ANY port on that machine. In any case you would need to use TCPView.

Not sure what could have been broken by using bcdedit, but you might have screwed the networking engine on that machine somehow. TCPView might show whether you have any program successfully using the networking stack, especially whether there is any kind of server program running.

I ran TCPview, and it seems that nothing is using the port 8555 (or the other ports my other wallets use)?

I have noticed that Tor doesn't work either, so it seems that this is my PC network problem, but all the other processes are running fine, so I don't understand... Sad

Your wallet shows bind error 10013.

The first easiest thing I would try is to reboot the machine to release ports - if you didn't do that already, of course. If you did, then see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3314656/what-causes-tcplistener-socket-error-10013

in particular it tells (though there is more info there):

Quote
This error code is caused by attempting to bind to a port that is exclusively in use by another process. The most common cause is accidentally starting the same service twice.

If in doubt, a quick check of TCPView should reveal which process has the port open.

I tried "listen=0", to make it use any available ports, and now that error doesn't occur, but another does
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/753857994604937296/779050984479129630/unknown.png

..And the debug log has nothing in it (no writes since September)

Not sure why BitCore could be using HTTP server... But anyway, disabling "listen" is more of a workaround than a solution, as there is something wrong with that PC, which could manifest in different way, so it should be fixed instead.

Did you try to check who is using the port 8555? TCPView (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/tcpview) should show it. You may have some kind of malware, which is using multiple ports on your PC. Or just the opposite - a new antivirus, which is blocking all the ports.
I don't have any antivirus program(disabled Microsoft Defender permanantly as well), and I downloaded 2 to check if I had a virus and they say I don't (Deleted them afterwards Cheesy )
I asked around more, and one told me that 0.0.0.0 is the local machine gateway, so my problem is probably there... But I have no idea what could be wrong.
I edited my bootloader with bcdedit a few days back, so that may be it, but it worked a few times after I edited, so I don't think that is it

-snip-
My qt-wallet runs without problems. Are you using the current version 0.90.9.7? If not, update your wallet to the latest version and check if the wallet is running again.  Smiley

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases/tag/0.90.9.7

It's not only the BTX wallet that is the problem, my whole collection of qt-wallets won't launch suddnely, all with the same error (so the version isn't the problem)
I had hoped someone had similiar issues before, and knew how to fix it, but I guess not..

The question is how high was the SCAMMER who made that fake "team" on website of this shitty project ?  Grin

I made a screenshot for safety purposes :

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W9UpT8_KLU3uiCSMcK2bnEdxC0j-YCM-/view?usp=sharing

What we have here ?   Alice Mattew ?!   What sort of lastname is that ?  There is no such surname as far as I know .. but maybe your naive followers form third world don't know about it...
Her Twitter account: https://twitter.com/AL1CEbtc    ..

We can clearly see she (i bet its just a fake person) is shillin for many Shitcoins on her Twitter account.
Like Allsafecoin  ... just check it : https://twitter.com/Allsafecoin    Graphic design looks familiar to lightbit fans ?  Grin   Maybe it's just a coincidence...

Let's see what else you have here :

James Stewart - Lead Dev ...  We have a linkedin profile where he claims :

"I have spent many years as a Fitness Professional. I have since decided to transfer to the Mental Health field. I am also an Indie game developer."   Very promising ...  His Black Page studios  didn't launched ANY title EVER !!! despite it runs it for 7 years now ...  Maybe he should change his brand to Black Pants Studios ... cause everything what he is doeing is shitting in his pants instead ...  Or wait ...  Maybe its just a fake person ?!  Grin

Let's go further :

Ayo Telufusi  ... Another weird (probably fake) person ... shilling shitcoins on Twitter account https://twitter.com/mrgrow2k and retweeting Alice tweets...

And then we come to Joe Land ... nice short , catchy name ... shame it's fake  and his serious avatar with fantasy squirrels makes im instantly trust that man !

Good luck lightbit investors ... may the god have mercy on your soul (and wallets) Grin

Honestly, you're calling this a scam because of fake profiles / names?
I'm not arguing whether this is a scam or not, I'm arguing that your proof is plain stupid

I'm a developer of some minor software, and I use a fake name and use an account made specifically for the project
I have my own private life you know, and I would like to keep it private.

I don't know whether the devs are fake profiles or not, but either way, that isn't any proof of whether this is a scam or not.

If you want to accuse them of scamming, find more solid proof, and I may support you then

yeah you should also have at least 1 incomin connection... ports: 8555, 8556 and upnp also opens port 56622 and port 9469 seems also need to be opened
[/quote]

I'm really not sure about this, but I thought the ports you see in the peers tab were the ports on the server(node)?
Not on your actual pc/rig

BTCsquare login / support page not working
by
Dom Wyrda
on 30/08/2020, 08:09:50 UTC
(Below is a copy of what I tried to send to you on the official support page, and then when that didn't work, to support@btcsquare.net via email - if the email worked, then I'm sorry to send this again, but with the official support page not working, I think you can understand me posting all over the place for help, hoping for a reply)

The login page is not working - when I log in, I get redirected to the main page without being logged in. This happened on another PC on another network as well.
Also, I tried making another account, and although the account making was successful, I couldn't log in to that account as well.

So this seems to be some part of your site not working, as opposed to something with my account / my pc / my network being the problem.

I tried contacting you with the support page on your site, but that page wasn't working too.

I hope this email gets to you without any problems, and I hope you fix this big issue quickly, and notify us what's the problem, how long it's going to take to fix this, etc as soon as you find this email / issue.

Do you have any more node service I can use?
My current wallet has 45.63.58.234:1604 and 78.137.5.155:1604, which are both slow in my region.

Where can we buy/sell LITB?
The only place I could find was at BTCsquare.

And also, how can I use the backup feature in the wallet?
I can make a backup file, but I don't understand how to apply it.
