I've noticed the daemon doesn't accept getbalance (only getBalance) - which is what the pools send, so pools look like they aren't paying anyone (this issue is part of what stopped me making my pool public when I set it up)

Is there a way to check current difficulty of network in daemon. It has been like 2-3 hours without a block. Curious Sad

not that I know of, but I've had 13 blocks in the past hour.

Don't know why,  but this is the most fun I've had mining in a long time. Just donated 10PC to the bounty. Hope it helps. I'd love to see this coin go places just because its put a smile on my face.

Guys. Rapidly approaching my first 100 coins. I'm mostly mining this coin to give me some solid data for some wallet software I am writing. Once I get to 100 coins, I want some more unique transactions in my wallet (I know I could go test net, but why not have fun with it?) so I'm offering a fun game:

PM me your Palladium address and I shall add it to a pool of addresses.
Every time I mine a block, I'll pick an address at random and send them 1 coin and remove them from list.
If you return some of the coins to me - a random amount between 25% and 75% - Ill add you back to the list.
All the time you keep returning coins, you stay in the list.

This should give me a decent level of transactions to play with and it gives others some coins to play with. Sound fun?

For now the only way to mine that I know of is to solo mine with the executable given on the github (daemon.exe). This is enough for the time being since solo mining lets you  mine quite a few blocks per hour with just a simple PC.

just frustrating that I can mine monero at 965H/s (on pool) but this new coin only at 75H/s... Guess I'll wait till a pool is sorted.

Op should try to check the wallet source

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads - that's an issue with your machine missing vc++ redist installs. Nothing wrong with wallet. I believe 140 = vs 2015 dlls, could be wrong tho.

The profit/breakeven thing is my fave. One of the reasons i started my own exchange was so i could add features like that as i struggle on bter to remember everything - and then forgot to add it.

Email alerts should be easy enough to get in.

from personal experience, trade on the nows, not the what ifs. If a profit can be made, do it. Dont wonder about what could be - because the opposite is equally possible. Sure, hold on to some coins when you cash out in case the value goes up, but a profit is a profit - even if you sell early. Missing out on a higher payout by selling early isn't losing money. Its just a missed potential for earning more.

Risky investors do get rewarded more, but also punished more.

New Exchange coming soon - what would newbies like to see?
by
DonkeyKoin
on 23/12/2013, 13:45:34 UTC
Partly asking here first as new account has newbie status - but also asking because i think it will help.

I have built a new alt coin exchange website that will be going live very soon - but there is still potential to improve. I wont advertise features yet but I am quite proud of what we have achieved.

The question tho: What, as a newbie, would you like to see in an exchange that hasn't been done before? Or what does every exchange do that you'd like to see improved.

If you do post, please include a wallet address (of any type) and if I like the idea and implement it, I'll make sure you get rewarded.
