Re: Bitcoin Faucets that Work

Don't forget http://freebitco.in
You get around 350 sats per hour with 1/40 chance of 3500 and 1/1600 for 35000 and 1/10000 for 0.35 btc

So do me and yourself a favour and use my ref link Wink http://freebitco.in/?r=445749 I split my profits between my refs (I get 50% of your winnings = you get 25% extra bitcoins.)

Hmm... One of the better ones, I've seen...

Hello I like Qoinpro.com  They payout everyday small amounts but you don't have to do anything but sign up once.  The more you refer and the sooner you sign up the better the rewards.

Signing up is free. Simply sign-up today and they will credit your account with 0.00000250 Bitcoins , 0.00007671 Litecoins and 0.00604838 FeatherCoins. Furthermore, they will add more coins to your account every single day.

QuoinPro has flooded the market. It ruined my Bitcoin group on FB.

Those faucets are a waste of time, payouts are extremely low. They used to be good. But those times are over.

Better sell something for BTC, offer a service, or simply use one of the signature programs here.

ya.ya.yo!

Signature programs? Any suggestions?

I use http://givemebtc.net daily and have over 100 referrals on there which makes me some really good money

Compared to moonbit, or freebitco.in, the payouts aren't that great...

my Bitcoin faucet https://HotBitcoins.com definitely works!

404 Page Not Found Sad

Using faucets will eventually eat your time away and will leave you will only miniscule amounts of bitcoin in your wallet that is mostly unspendable because the TX fee necessary to spend it would be more then what you would receive.

Yeah, I would have to agree. moonbit is pretty simple, and after 12 hours, I've got 3 cents worth of BTC. LOL!  However, it is a topic that I haven't really covered on my blog, so it was time to do some research...

Hope u guys earn something from faucets to get you started, but i think you could use your time more efficiently.
Try offering something that will be found usefull to others , like design , coding skill, writing ..etc , as it will bring you much more profit than wasting time on faucets.

cheers

I would like to, but I spent a long time in a corporate, closed-source environment, and trying to find a gig in the open-source world hasn't been easy, especially with sites like Freelancer, eLance, and oDesk that cater to workers in countries that can survive on a dollar or two a day.

Bitcoin Faucets that Work

This is by no means an exhaustive list, the following Bitcoin faucets that actually work:

Moon Bitcoin – You decide when to claim your Bitcoin
Bitcoin Poster – Get paid every hour
PikaPay Bitcoin Fountain – Get Bitcoin sent to your Twitter account
GBBG BitFaucet – View ads and earn Bitcoin
All but PikaPay offer affiliate programs.

Enjoy.

Re: Good VPN that accepts Bitcoin

I am looking for a company that provides a VPN service and accepts Bitcoin. I would prefer if it was $6 or under a month and had multiple countries I could connect to. Tongue

If anyone is using one that they really like let me know.
Also if you have a referral link to a VPN site that accepts BTC Leave it in a reply and I will check it out, If I like it I will sign up under you!

I've been using Hide My Ass for a couple of years, now. They accept Bitcoin.

Boy its quiet in here..

How's it going everyone.. Still loyal cavirtex sheep?

10 days and not one new post. Seems odd for a thread dedicated to Canada's oldest and largest exchange.

My Bitcoin price checker hasn't updated CaVirtEx for three days, now... I actually logged-on to see it the site was still there...

I've been using "Bitcoin Checker" on Android and it appears to be working correctly.

I've been using BitcoinPrices on Android. It has been great, until three days ago...

You guys see Cavirtex's latest video on Youtube?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpILimJbDzE

It's Mr. David, the CEO, giving a short speech about why he loves bitcoin.  It looks like a contest, but he gives zero information in the video to indicate that fact.  There is no description or link in the video hmm...  He asks in the video to hear everyone else's reason why they love bitcoin, but comments on the video are disabled.  hmm...

There is a link to another site in the description of the video to the "contest" site where the 1 video that has been uploaded doesn't work. hmm...

My point is, they "Cavirtex" can't even run a simple video contest smoothly.  I wish they would try to set the bar a little higher.  There are tens of thousands of examples for them to follow on Youtube and elsewhere.  A little more effort on promotion would be nice, they should post the link here in the forum at least, there isn't even a link on their own website!

I'll probably enter.
Peace.

No, I haven't seen it. Did you see where Reed Holmes left CaVirtEx? It showed up as an update on LinkedIn. Apparently, Reed has gone to work for Vgogo. Hmm...

Figured I'd try here rather than a strict WTB thread but if anyone is interested in selling a BabyJet I'd be interested in buying. These seem to be pretty nice little miners when they work!

They are definitely nice miners. So-o-o much better than my BFL Single SCs...

TL:DR We’re fixing our dormant account activity fee policy - you’ll now be getting 3 alerts before any charges. Fees have been reduced by 50%. CAVIRTEX is an exchange not a wallet. Our CEO Joseph is going to do an AMA. We want your feedback.

I will believe cavirtex isn't a scam once I receive my shares
And I see a full year end financial statement detailing all revenue and expenses..

Until that point I will consider cavirtex a slipshod business at best and a scam in the making at worst

I conducted two trades today. Watched them BOTH happen in real-time. Two hours later? One Email, for the first one. I will DEFINITELY sell my next load of Bitcon on VOS. For now, CaVirtEx has been relegated to my backup strategy...

All I can say is Wow!

A few months ago, one of their newsletters said that they were going to start enforcing their "inactive account" policy. I can't believe they made it retroactive. I'm stunned.

Thank you for contacting customer support.

The deposit and withdrawal process has recently been changed, and our development team had to work out some of the issues. This has also caused a delay with customers receiving their micro deposits. These have now been completed and your funds should be in your VirtEx account/ bank account no later than the end of next week. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you,

Sofia

FUCK YOU VIRTEX!!!!!!!!!!!

I got three very different responses to my trouble ticket, and none of them were like this... I'm not getting the "warm fuzzies" here...

I've been a VirtEx customer since April 2012. I beta tested the debit card. Before Vgogo came along, it was considerably faster. Since Vgogo, direct deposit usually took 24 hours--never more than 48.

This last month has been hellacious. I opted for direct deposit, instead of debit card because of the much-improved turnaround times. That was a mistake.

I'm not sure that I would be so quick to judge VirtEx. Many things have changed in the world of Bitcoin, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if there are "unseen forces" at work here. (I won't mention TD's CEO or the fact that he's a Bilderberger).

I'm selling my mining rigs. Frankly, I think Bitcoin is being brought into the old-world banking system. VirtEx's days may be numbered.

Why are withdrawals getting stuck?  It NEVER took 5 days before, wtf is going on there!!!!!

...and dont blame it on my bank, its been 6 business days(my bank is open sat)

+1

In the last month, this has happened to me, twice. After the switch to Vgogo, they were taking less than 48 hours.

I opened a trouble ticket, and got the standard, "It's not us, it's the bank" response. I dug a little deeper. The next response claimed that only the way customers view the process had changed, and gave me the dates that my withdrawals should appear in my bank account.

Today was one of those days.  By 5:30 PM, the money wasn't in my account. I re-opened my support ticket. Two hours later, the money for BOTH withdrawals was in my account.

Frankly, I'm beginning to suspect that VirtEx is having cash flow problems.

Vault of Satoshi is looking more appealing, all of the time.

The Bitcoin community seems unaware or apathetic to the impact that ASIC centralization has had. It has re-created the "1% vs. 99%" scenario...
Mostly apathetic, I suppose - especially when people start referring to ASICs as they are just a symptom, not a cause.  If it's the 1% who can afford high-end ASICs, then it's the same 1% who can afford a warehouse full of GPUs as long as it's profitable to do so.  Bitcoin (and other pure proof-of-work coins) is what it is, and it's unlikely to change any time soon.

But hey, that's what altcoins are for, right? Smiley

P.S. the links in your sig are all-but-one broken - stray character creeping into your URL tags

It's too bad about Bitcoin, but there are something like 200+ altcoins, now. And Bitcoin-scrypt is trying to save Bitcoin from ASICs...

(Sig links are fixed - Darn quotes! - Thanks!)
If there ever was a hard fork of BTC I hope they'd include a POS system, but hard forks seem to only be done out of necessity these days.

not gonna happen forks are for joke coins, bitcoin isn't one of them

Not sure about that--Bitcoin was already forked, last year (or was it 2012?)

I've been reading up on it... Some of the altcoins start as POW, then slowly switch to POS as more coins are mined. Then there's NXT, that is pure POS. Somebody's got to give you some coins before you can start mining or "forging" as NXTers call it.

Re: Blockchain-based polling/voting systems
by

on 29/05/2014, 00:53:50 UTC
In a blockchain-based polling/voting system, what is the best way to ensure that nobody votes more than once, and what is the best way to keep votes secret (if that's a requirement)? The info available in the blockchain should be 1) who voted and 2) how many votes for each option.

You may find more answers here.

I've got five (5) Butterfly Labs ASICs for sale.

- 5 x 60 GH/s = 300 GH/s (I usually get ~280 GH/s)
- includes 1300-watt power supply
- Local pickup
