Re: Russia’s Sberbank and S7 Airlines to sell flight tickets for tokens
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 28/08/2020, 05:37:49 UTC
Awesome! And now let this flight tickets get exchanged not only for a random Putin-token but for everything else as well. Like trade your airline bonus miles on an exchange to get a coupon from your favorite shop 30% off or use it to buy a gift from a local salesman. Everything exchangeable for everything. Gets me especially excited because we are working on such a thing.

Re: Bitcoin maximalists are doing more harm to the crypto space than good ?

Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.” Face it: you were better off not knowing that, weren't you?

I think most maximalists are either unknowledgable about the possibilities of other tokens or they are just called such because of an argument with an altcoin enthusiast. BTC is the leader of the gang, so it´s just natural that people focus on the main point of interest. Taht´s also shown in the recent developments of big institutional investors entering crypto space, they chose the supposedly most safest asset, whcih again is BTC. It might change in the future but at this point the whole crypto market is still in its infancy so focussing on the Crypto Blue Chips is just common behaviour

Re: Poll: when will cryptocurrency go mainstream?
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 26/08/2020, 05:29:34 UTC
I think it comes down to your very own definition of mainstream. As for me, mainstream means I can go out in any random shop I chose and buy something with Bitcoin, preferebly on a card. Beside that, BTC must be accepted by the public as a means of exchange AND understood in its basic idea. That said, I think there needs to be a lot of education done, as well as infrastructure build to really say BTC is mainstream

Re: Polkadot - new top ten member

on 25/08/2020, 17:34:09 UTC
Awesome news imho. And I hope nobody minds, but I had this project on the radar for months so I wrote an article about it incl. background info and price forecast. So if you guys don´t mind, here is the link to my post.

https://double-edge.net/2020/08/25/coin_predictions_crypto_forecast_polkadot/

It´s written for Newbies and starters, not for advanced folks. I reduced the tech language to a minimum and tried to explain everything in words a random person on the street would understand. I think thas the only chance for mass adopton. Things get complicated soon enough

Re: Is it possible that the 1% group want to kill us intentionally with covid ?
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 25/08/2020, 05:16:20 UTC
Chances are higher to die from the overrushed and forced vaccination. I´m very well connected all over the world and I don´t know someone that knows someone that had Covid! However, there are many countries that are already installed laws that they can send a group of people to your home, even allowed to break the door and vaccinate you against your will. Australia, Denmark and Finnland already have that, Germany and Austria are close to pass a similar law. I´m certainy a similar law is in progress in your country too.

As for the 1%, e. g. a person like Bill Gates is a business man. He invested 4B USD in the WHO and he wants to get his money back .If you think for a second that he is a philantrop you might want to reconsider. Money rules the world and human lifes aren´t traded on the stock markets.

Eventually you can dismiss all that as a conspiracy theory and believe in the mass media, which again have an agenda if misinformation and subliminal directing you into a fearfull and axious mood. Heavy emotions sell best and love and happyness isn´t available so trigger panic increases the chances for people to leave their common sense behind and follow the masses.

We are heading towards a Brave New World, a 1984 or a Fahrenheit 451 direction. Pretty sad.

Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market?
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 24/08/2020, 17:38:49 UTC
Chances are almost zero. ETH is established, has a great spokesperson, a fantastic reputation and the use cases on ETH2.0 are endless. New projects usually focus on a niche, while ETH is omnipresent when it finally is released.

Uniswap - Why so successful?
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 24/08/2020, 05:18:05 UTC
There are a lot of DEXes out there and high likely even more swapping engines. What has Uniswap done to standout and take the majority of the exchanging cake? Is it because it runs on Ethereum and that it has a sound solid underlying software backend or something else? Do you guys use it what are your experience with it? I´m trying top build something similar but not necessarily a competitor so I was wondering what we can do to please possible future clients

It has a real life use case and that´s most important. Besides, to have a special kind of person to put in front of your coin has already wokred out pretty well for Tron or Litecoin.

I just wrote an article about Chainlink that sums up the situation. In case someone wants to read it: https://double-edge.net/2020/08/20/coin-predictions-crypto-forecasts-part-1-chainlink/

Re: Some Influencers Are Not Helping

Dave Portnoy could be glad that he is already rich! He should stick to his dayjob, whatever that is. To me it seemed he got triggerd by greed and that the Winklevosses implanted in his brain. However, a perfect example that education in trading is crucial to success and just randomly putting money in and out of an asset just ruins your bank account. Now he sounds like spoiled brat that someone took his lolly from.

I always prefered to listent Mike Portnoy. Are they somehow related?

The problem is that DeFi is a game played but just a few hundred individuals and most of the DeFi hypetokens are without any value. Also, 4chan and other "expert"-groups have far too much influence on it. Chekc out that BS: https://cryptoslate.com/4chans-chainlink-tendies-picks-made-it-the-top-crypto-fund-of-2020/

Re: Bitcoin in a good shape?
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 21/08/2020, 05:31:51 UTC
Well, price and acceptance says it´s in a good shape. If you think about Grayscale, Fidelity, Blackrock and many more now entering the market you could be ensured they wouldn´t do it without the trust to make money with it. Besides, there are the hypeman out there like Pomp and the Winklevoss twins. And that guy here: https://eng.ambcrypto.com/heres-why-bitcoin-at-487000-might-not-be-a-pipe-dream/

Chainlink has a real life use case and collaborations with Google and Oracle. This minor setback is just a catastrophe for tiny "investors" like all those now screaming get-rich-quick lucksters that thought $LINK will go to 100.- USD soon.

Absolutely possible. Someone posted an interesting graphic on Reddit, https://ibb.co/TT250Nr  if you want to check it out. I think we need more clear and easy to understand comparisons so people could understand faster how BTC is working and what size it already has

Re: Coindesk & Cointelegraph give Fake News
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 19/08/2020, 05:40:47 UTC
This is not the first time I've met people who lose money due to crypto media publications. It annoys me especially when FUD is published, and I also hate bitcoin predictions. Many people believe this without even suspecting that this is a lie or unverified information. Angry Angry Angry

I absolutely second that! Especially some Youtube channels post totally crappy FUD and FOMO on coins that are worth nothing but they push it for the sake of getting views and receiving Youtube Ads income. The whole predictions thing is also questionable, I mean we have decades of market data for stocks and forex but just a few years of crypto. It´s impossible to be totally accurate here, it´s just a huge guessing game

Re: Is Germany the NEW World’s Crypto Superpower
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 18/08/2020, 05:17:07 UTC
Short answer: NO

Long answer. The reason why it´s hard for Germany to become a crypto superpower are their insane taxes, their tendency to eventually overregulate and the fact that the EU always can come up with a law limiting the use of cryptos because EU law stands above EU-member-countries law

Here an article with a nice summary of reasons: https://cryptoslate.com/these-4-factors-show-just-how-real-bitcoins-current-bull-run-truly-is/

I don´t fully agree with it though, since it has a very technical approach and not take the changes in global politics and economy in consideration

Re: Warren Buffet bought “Gold” for the first time. When Bitcoin?
by
DoubleEdgeEX
on 17/08/2020, 05:28:03 UTC
A recetn exchange of posts between Pomp and Peter Schiff made me wonder when Buffet will join the Bitcoin community too. If he really does, I assume he will do it like BlackRock did, with an investment in a company that is clse to cryptos. As for gold, a hardcore guy like Schiff should be careful about Elon Musks move to mine Gold on Asteroids in the next 5-10 years
