Re: Anyone who misses Nokia phones too?
by

Lol, really? Human beings and our funny desires. I can't believe someone would miss those lines of phones in the presence of the ones we have today. I personally like big phones, maybe cause I have big hands. So, I guess this is why I am really cool with what there is today. And seriously, the utility, aesthetics and performance have just improved so much more. Anyway, why miss Nokia when there's still Nokia? Even the old 3310 has been reintroduced into the market. So, if you're really in love with small limited-utility phones, you can still go for them!

This seems apparently straightforward. Are you suggesting some other utility for the machine? I would really like to know what else could be done at these machines. Of course, operations like mining are totally out of the equation. It is literally impossible. The truth however is that most countries don't even have this. So, the basic buying and selling still goes through a rigorous process. So, for me, in the country where I live, it would be a great luxury to even have these machines.

Re: Us based medias want to destroy the usa to expand their audience

US based media is controlled by a certain group of elites. These elites are a very greedy bunch of people. They are ruthless. But it will be totally bad judgement to think that they are after the destruction of the US. They are simply after controlling the nation. And when you control the US, you can control a great percentage of the rest of the world. As they are ruthless, they would willingly go to any length to have their desires met. This is why at times it looks as though they are willing to destroy the United States.

No doubt, 2018 has not been such a great year for Bitcoin. But the trend has been the same for some years. The prices always seem to go high at the start of every year. I do not think things will be any different in 2019. Although there have been some signs that say otherwise. In times past, the prevalence of positive rumors have mostly led to price hikes. But that has not been the case in 2018. So, possibly there are other factors in play this time around. But I am still very positive that we will be seeing great prices at the start of 2019. It might not be as great as some other years but it will surely happen.

Re: What's your opinion of gun control?
by

It is really appalling; the popular opinion here. I really can't seem to fathom how many of you are persuaded this way. Guns honestly should have no room in our society. It makes the country look like a war zone. If the sole purpose of a gun is to kill, then I do not consider that it is everyone's right to own one. If you're not in state defense, you really shouldn't own one. The idea of self-defense is just taking laws into your hands. Time has shown us that we can trust people with the capacity to kill their fellow human. In spite of the disaster even in recent times, our politicians are still adamant and upholding a weak stance concerning gun laws. It's really devastating.

I didn't know much about cats until recently. I started visiting an acquaintance not long ago. And she happens to own a cat. My God, doubt I have ever been so pissed in my life. This cat was always moody and ready to dig its claws into you. It always has some need to be attended to or the other. And then the consistent grumpy sound too. I really don't consider them much of a pet, really. But dogs are just the other way round!  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Re: Choosing the one | What I think! - Real Job or Full Time Crypto!
by
Douglas_Rhoades

I am actually surprised that this is even coming up. I know if you have invested in Bitcoing, you're really hoping that it is the currency of the future. And I am one of such people. But it doesn't take an expert to recognize the volatility of this market. In view of all this, how will anyone in their right senses consider choosing full-time crypyto over real time job? First of all, it makes no sense to put all your eggs in one basket. Even further, I do not think that they are mutually exclusive. One can still invest in crypto even while they are about their real time.

Re: Reason why you dont give up on life?
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 25/08/2018, 07:47:14 UTC
Saying that life is beautiful is some sort of deception really. I know there are beautiful moments. But we should be frank enough to remind ourselves and others that life is ugly at times too. I think this will help to have the right expectations. Once I come to the consciousness of the fact that life is not a bed of roses, then I must answer a particular question. What will I do when things get tough? How will I respond? And this is where I say that there's really no loss unless the ones you concede. So, be strong out there, folks.

Re: Do you use cryptocurrencies in your daily life? Are they useful?
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 23/08/2018, 04:36:19 UTC
As much as I love cryptocurrency and its technology, I don't really make much use of it daily. And this is not because I have chosen not to. If there were more avenues for me to spend and use Bitcoins daily, I'd certainly embrace them. So, the issue mainly is about the acceptance. In my part of the world, many stores or companies are still yet to accept Bitcoins and the rest. I don't know if it is the same scenario in other countries. But I'm looking forward to that time when Bitcoins are more widespread. They are useful right now certainly. But I am certain that their utility will still increase even more over time.

Re: Why is life so hard/complicated?
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 22/08/2018, 05:20:56 UTC
The truth is life has always been difficult. System or no system. Take for example a man who isolates himself from civilization. The truth is he might even face more difficulties than those of us under the system. Challenges come in different forms for every one of us. No one of us can escape them. It's what I call nature's curse. In fact, the purpose of all of man's endeavors is to make life easier and less complicated.

Re: Do you wish to have physical notes, coins for bitcoin?
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 21/08/2018, 07:26:58 UTC
Really? Notes and coins? Then what is the point of the whole "digital currency" thing. One thing is sure; they don't exist at the moment. And I don't really envisage their existence. Because we primarily don't need them. If there are notes and coins, then just like Fiat, there needs to be a central minting unit of some kind. This will ultimately defeat the essence of decentralization. That's my own perspective though.

Wow, that's a lot of processing power. Chill, man! I really don't see that happening in the nearest future. That will be too much power cramped up in a little device. And to be practical, one really doesn't even need it. I for one don't really fancy doing much of "work" related stuff on my phone. It's just not comfortable. Maybe, I'm just weird. The same goes for any device with a screen less than 15 inches in size. Even if this type of phone is manufactured, how many people will pay for it?

Re: ONE WISH IN YOUR LIFE

One singular wish? That's a really difficult one to muzzle out. But if I must, then I think I'll go for something that encompasses all that I want. Grin I just to be the person I was made to be. To influence all the lives that I was created to influence. I believe strongly in purpose. That I was not just dropped here to while away time, take up the space and use up matter. So, I just want to live out that specific purpose. This is my greatest wish Wink

Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover?
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 17/08/2018, 06:05:23 UTC
From my little research, I believe there have been worse times in the crypto market. And things certainly got better. But this is not to neglect the fact that things are pretty bad presently. My major point is that we need to keep the optimism up. I am not so much of an expert of any sort. So, I doubt if I am experienced enough to make an intelligent prediction. But if I must predict, then I think things will get really exciting in the last 3 months of the year. Nevertheless, the wise thing to do right now is either to buy more or keep holding on. Selling is not an option.

Re: I CHOSE BITCOIN INVESTMENT OVER BANK INVESTMENT

I like your confidence. At least it feels good to know there are still people out there who believe in cryptocurrency. Your bargain is a really risky one. But the deal, as many already identified it, is that the higher the risk, the great the benefit. But I do not subscribe to taking the risk with someone else's capital. If the money was yours, then with your knowledge of the crypto system, you'd easily take responsibility for your decision. But the case might not be the same for your uncle. I hope the outcome is merry anyway. Good luck!

Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold??
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 07/08/2018, 02:08:40 UTC
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.
I agree with you. Bitcoin is a currency and is likely it will be the main (or one of the main) in the near future. But for many at the moment, bitcoin serves as a means of accumulation, so it is often called digital gold. All because bitcoin, like gold, has the same features: limitation, anonymity, growth in value. What makes gold and crypto currency even more similar is that bitcoins, like gold, can be mined.
But the future for new technologies. Players in the gold market are exploring blockchain technology in the context of turning gold into a digital asset. And it says a lot)

Re: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE INVESTING IN CRYPTOCURRENCY
by
Douglas_Rhoades
on 02/08/2018, 01:16:46 UTC
A lot of people are investing in cryptocurrency and it’s becoming increasingly clear that it’s not just a passing fad. It’s also clear that it’s potentially very lucrative — though not without risks. So, before you invest in cryptocurrency, it’s a good idea to have a goal in mind and know how much you can afford to lose.

Not many people ask themselves why they are you investing? Most will say it’s to make money quick, while others will say it’s a future investment in blockchain technology. For others, it might just be out of curiosity. These are already very different reasons that should produce very different strategies.

For short-term gains, it would make sense to buy low and sell high — but there’s a lot more to it than that. You’d need to choose a coin with high liquidity, have a sense of risk management, and rebalance your portfolio every so often. Without a plan, you’re simply not going to produce good results.

Likewise, if you’re betting on future technology then you’re likely making a long term-investment, meaning you’re going to hold, or hodl. That’s what a lot of early bitcoin and ethereum holders did, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right strategy for you and your goals. And even this purpose still requires research. There’s a ton of investment opportunities, and many of them will not pan out.

No matter your reason, don’t just gamble your money away because you “feel” like it might do well. Have a reason for why you’re investing, how much you’re investing, what you’re investing in, and the timing you’re choosing to make the buy.

https://i.imgur.com/FWztHiO.jpg

Once you know why you’re investing, ask yourself what you want to gain. For example, how much profit are you looking to make? To meet your goal, how much time, effort, and research are you willing to put in? What is your stop-loss? Before you invest, know your objective and go about it rationally. Since most people won’t have much time to spare for research, you can use cryptocurrency trading tools to aid in the decision making.

Another thing to keep in mind — if you have experience trading stocks, don’t assume cryptocurrency trading will be the same thing. Cryptocurrencies are not stock. You can use tools like RSI (relative strength index) and ADX (average directional index), which are certainly helpful, but cryptocurrency is way more volatile and the market tends to be much more emotional than the stock market. Think FUD/FOMO: fear, uncertainty and doubt/fear of missing out.

If you can keep a level head, devise a plan and stick to it, while properly managing risks, then crypto investing might be rewarding for you. How involved you get should be dependent on your goals.

Remember, whether or not cryptocurrency is a good investment for you depends entirely on what you think the future will look like and not what the past growth of cryptocurrency has been.

(copy post) I think this information will help the beginners.
Excellent article. Indeed, we often do not understand the real cause of our actions and our goals. Is it worth stopping and thinking about what we really need and why?
If you have already found the answer to this question, then it is worth learning more about the investment object.
It is important to understand how Bitcoin works before investing money.
Bitcoin is still new, young, and it may take several months to understand how the ecosystem of crypto currency works. Because there are many "little things" that you should pay attention to (wallets, passwords, exchanges, etc.)
Spend some time to understand bitcoin, how it works, how to protect bitcoins, and how bitcoin is different from money. Good luck to all us!

Re: BITCOIN = FUTURE
by

Who is that person who would not invest in his or her future? what awaits such kind of person, i asked about 50 friends and their answer was POVERTY, some says DISASTER.

It is normal for people to be scared as they are not sure of what the future holds, they panic, they fear as no one knows tomorrow, we are uncertain of what would become of us in the next 10 minutes.

The only way we could atleast be sure of a better future is by investing greatly into the future, we invest our resources, our strength, we go against our parents sometimes to pursue what we think is better for us that would be beneficial to our Tomorrow.

                                                          BITCOIN = FUTURE

I believe so much in Bitcoin that i staked all of my resources, i had to even talk to my wife to allow us sell our house so we could invest in our future and that of our children and i must tell you that it is really paying off, we bought 5BTC this year when it was dip around 5000 dollars, and i believe you all know what the price of BTC IS TODAY... This is my first post on this platform, i'd decided to do this so as to have a platform to refer doubters and people with no foresight to when BTC hits 100 thousand dollars before middle of next year 2019
I will invest in bitcoin necessarily. This is an investment in the future and I'm sure that the cost of not only bitcoin, but also other crypto currency will grow in the near future.
Especially attractive to me is the fact that the blockchain system is decentralized and my investments will not depend on politicians, governments, inflation, etc. Of course, the world economy and politics affect bitcoin too, but still it is a more independent investment than classical ones.

Re: Special Education

do you believe that special children deserve education?
Everyone has the right to education. There can be no exceptions to this rule. This is the basic human right. All children are special, but I understand what you mean. I think that these children should learn together with other children. Inclusion is a very important aspect of the life of society as a whole. Socialization of all members of society is very important.
