The website is very poor on information.

Either way they are swimming in cash. No one can compete with them at the moment, and they can do whatever they want. Orders will still be pouring in way faster than they can fill them. I'll wait and see how it plays out. I sure hope some real competition emerges at some point. GH/s per $ always wins at those levels, and BFL seems to understand it.

Not if you order BIG bucks outta them. Then, you'll have a special treatment.

I was a victim of such trojan. I downloaded a GUIminer from somewhere, and 2 weeks later I lost about 2BTC. Luckly enough the person isn't really intelligent, as he could've waited much longer for more profit, lol. Probably some scripty kid with a crave for a few BTCs to buy the game next door.

Lo'there!

I'm kinda new to the whole scene, been only mining for roughly 2 months, but I plan to take this serious. Smiley
I've been learning with this forum and community, so hopefully I will be able to re-pay (as in Donation) as soon as I get a stable rig(s) with my solar panels (which are very efficient) pumping energy. Smiley

Obviously I will take into consideration the upcoming ASIC changes, and might even invest some chubby bucks if recent analysis demonstrate the effectiveness |VP-counter| difficulty. Wink

Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?)

If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

Well, I can't seem to post anywhere, but now I understand why.

Let's see:

I've been mining on a pool (with GPU) for roughly 2 months now, so I still consider myself a rookie. I mine with a 5750, which is giving me a standarized rate of MH/s - for the average joe. (no overclock, yet).

The amount of bitcoins I get isn't quite giving me enough to supress some of the expenses with the electicity bills (as a whole, I mean, the total bill itself), but I plan on setting up my own rig (I always wanted to be a "farmer", just not the traditional one Wink).

So yeah, I already pre-ordered (3x, can't afford more at this time) the upcoming Japaleño from BFL. I know about recent analysis that state that the difficulty will raise, at some point, to about 10x (plus 17~20%, if I'm not mistaken), but I still feel like giving it a shot. I'll be pumping 10.5GH/s, which I assume will be enough to pay for the 3x Japaleños in a matter of 6 to 8 months, given the difficulty increasement (speculation) of x10 (plus 17-20%).

Hopefully it's enough to prove I know atleast -something- about the subject.
