This shit has been down all day. It's bad enough the site is slow as hell, but now I can't even move BTC without converting it to another coin. As often as this happens, I'm starting to think they do it for the fees.

We are looking at a relaunch folks. There is an issue in the code that needs to be corrected. There are many other circumstances that have contributed to this outcome and those will be discussed tomorrow.

Not really. People were able to mine maxcoin from the start. Some people just don't know how to use a command line on windows, so they should blame themselves

Should be the TinFoilHatCoin with all the conspiracy theories. Nothing is impossible, but there is no point in over analyzing EVERYTHING.
Yes, the launch was an epic fail, but get over it. If you think the coin is shit and people are stupid for wasting their time, then so be it. Don't let your butt hurt get in the way of your own lives though. It's not a good look.

I am getting the strangest results from mining this coin. One pool is telling me that my cpu cluster is mining faster than my GPU setup, which has to be impossible. There is no way I am getting over 1GH/s on each cpu.
It could also have something to do with the huge increase in traffic they have had in the last 36 hours. A backup server would be nice, but I'll deal with a little downtime from mcx compared to the bullshit that coins-e was putting people through with their weak coding and servers.
Every site that was linked to this coin release was down multiple times in the last few days. You have to give them some credit for being able to stay up. Last night that place was flooded with people waiting to see if there would be a pump during the live broadcast of the KReport (aired at 9:30am in london).
Not saying it's good practice to shut an exchange like this, but it was actually during one of the more stable times for MaxCoin so far. Max crashed lower last night than it was trading at today, and they didn't close it down then. I would think if there was a malicious motive to the shutdown, it would've been when it went from 006 down to 003 late last night.
