Re: Where were you and what were you doing when bitcoin took this huge $1,000 Dump.
by

and what did you think of it, LOL?

For me it was a disaster, I was just getting ready to do some btc transactions, and all deals fell through basically, and there is nothing looming in the horizon.I hope the market recovers fast.

I did pick up some cheap coins however.

What did you do??? Let us know.

You overpaid for those coins, prices are not yet done going down.

Well, since I started this thread, bitcoin dumped another $1,000, so what do you think of the 2nd $1,000 dump, and do you think it's going to go down further? I think we could actually see $3950 tonight...

There should be another $2000 lost before the end of the year.
None of the support floors can hold until ~$1500 , and then we don't know how long the btc miners can hold out.

$1500 is realistic, that is where to hype started.
I was just wondering why it took so long to find out. We had a 1-Year 500-1200% hype.
The worst thing of all, I couldn't get any profit out of it, since the BitcoinPlus Up&Drop one year ago wasted all my investments.
Since then I knew everything was scam, even BTC.

as long as Blockchain is exist, Bitcoin will always have future. Blockchain technologies will come new for sure, but it doesn't mean bitcoin will drop or gone away, because bitcoin is the main project of blockchain technology (as I know). Blockchain improvement will strengthen bitcoin existence.

as long as Blockchain is existing in my head, where some hyping money brooker put it into, Bitcoin will always have future for me, like I am able to read in the last chapter of Lukas, or John,...or just one of them.
Blockchain technologies will come new for sure, because I was told personally by some dudes writing obvious articles in the net, but it doesn't mean bitcoin will drop or gone away, because that would suck since
I would have wasted my time and yours of course, because bitcoin is the main project of blockchain technology (as I know, mirror, mirror on the wall...). Blockchain improvement will strengthen bitcoin existence
and me either. So I will buy a blockchain for my bed and my workplace to strain myself into it. And maybe for me father. And for christmas. Cheers.

In my opinion it will take a lot to dethrown Bitcoin. Even if Bitcoin doesn't have the market cap it will still be the one that's talked about.
I dissagree,  as you see the bitcoin is falling and soon ETH will be the number one on coinmarketcap, it mean that trands has changed.
Ethereum is for fooling people. It is a grand concept, but its not capable.
It's follow up Cardano will address the issues, well that is what they like to do.
And already stating it as important as Google is today, the Google for cryptocurrencies.

It will be a hard fight, money will clash at its best, and we all wanna see Bitcoin firing up its booster aka lightning network,
and how high the stars really get they are grabbing for.

Don't pay me in BTC, I am busy!

2018 quo vadis? Don't really know, but there are already some sustainable decisions made.
News don't see BTC as allover winner, I guess. Steam quit, Microsoft quit.
Now, if there is someone getting angry about this, I could understand that.

Funny is now, how all those polite and sound voices are lining up behind bitcoin, quite smiling and nodding,
now backed by big money brokers from chicago.
In just two months those brokers pushed the price of BTC
more than two-thirds of what this world-wide community had achieved over several years.

Is that a decentralized currency now, wow.
Yeah, and its so independent and fresh.

BTC is the opportunists first choice.
I think that is in total contrary to Satoshi Nakamoto.
It's like the definition of what contrary is.

Btw, how is Kim Schmitz doing? Shouldnt he be an eager and motivated investor in Burstcoin?

Or is he probably involved in Filecoin?

In fact, Filecoin had a much better marketing strategy.
They know there is a huge market, and obviously do deliver something, to make them very interested.

So, where is Burstcoin in between that?

Here is my Burst christmas story...for you all...I wish you a happy christmas time.

I finally ended up buying burst at its highest rate of 90 satoshis.
I switched from GRC after years as that currency wasnt really what I sought.
The BOINC team isn't really embracing them and BOINC does the job really well.
So, there is NO real currency for DOING PoW and sciences sake.
GRC is a little blender here.
And EMC2 is just a founding platform beside those revenues which end up in their own pockets...
Maybe FoldingCoin is still, but I doubt it, as this would be immense work to implement such a system like BOINC
reaching out far more than inventing a cryptocurrency.

So I thought, the best would be green mining.
I am happy and eager cheering my coming years and see what Burstcoin is going to become.
...
Yes, you always mind that slogan "nomen est omen"...thats some roman wise arsing, isnt it?
...
Damn I should not have taken BURST literally.
...
How about BREEZE? Or MIST? Or Suction?
...
It is snowing...wonderful.
2017 was a damn fine year to become involved...entangled.
Now I really need you Santa Clause. Help.

BurstCoin! It's really a good altcoin, but not a big coin. Few days ago, I also heard about it and receive very positive comments. With good volume and stable price maybe a good coin to trade with. This coin has 57 rank in marketcap.

Believe me, it is just numbers. Save your money and buy Filecoin or Stellar.
Or would you every trust a Cryptocurrency having nothing better to offer than a "beautiful" wallet? Cheesy

How about a fast and reliable ànd secure client? Fit to the dip.
Or how about I could change my Burst client to a neat pinky wallet for just 10 Bursts?

Yes, BURSTcoin is a good coin. Today.
The answer was a completely different one by the time the question was asked.
BURST will thrive - feel free to mark my words.

https://forums.getburst.net/t/one-month-of-pocc/603

Hahaha, lol.

Isnt it always that nagging pain, when you watch your investment you made in just THAT promising coin,
while every other coin seems to pass by, and your investment looses in value?

And exactly that is what BURST is for, it makes you wanna ....burst.

The only thing it is really good at is burning up the few money you had for investing in it.
But why is that?

Isnt this a HUGE and promising idea, using disk space instead of cycles?
Hey, that is green, or isnt it?

Yes, sure it is...but also it isnt.
Disk space is...it is permanent memory. In contrast to RAM, which is non permanent.
The idea to write through terrabytes of sectors in order to have a certain calibration
regarding the amount of any chance to mine a coin, is devasting.
Because it's useless. It is even more useless than wasting cycles for PoW.

But of course there is a market, all the Cloud Space hosters, offering Petabytes of Space.
They are the ones now crying for such a "green" solution.
Of course, as you might have guessed. Why arsing on unallocated disk space forever?
And that is what Filecoin will deliver. It was backed with $250.000.000!! Backed.

Burst is a hobbyist attempt, far from what ever defined Bitcoin.
Ridiculously the "guy" behind this coin tries to cover his real image, like Satoshisan did.
But it's a plague.

Load up the client and take a look for yourself...
They are so into that smart contracts stuff, they packed everything they could think off in this client.
Even a marketplace! Lol.

But what legal dimension this is going to arouse, they havent got a clue.
The transfer of physical stuff chained to and within a Cryptocurrency wallet?? wtf?

The Asset management seems somewhat okay, the rest is neglectable.
And all features would make sense, and ONLY then, if BURST would have a certain market value.
Honestly, it is below 1 cent.

But you can already pay, for an alias. Isnt that cute?
Cute is also the site, the web presence of BURST in this kind of "pro-styled" manner. Lol.
Did you look at the pictures. So bland and sterile.
Web Construction Kit 2.0 for the Greedy.

Next Fraud with BTC-BCH
by
Dummsaus
on 12/11/2017, 10:42:47 UTC
Yesterday and today BCH made steep climbs, just to fall again, in a very short time, first about 33%, today about 50%.

No matter who is causing this, needs enormous amounts of invested capital.
The whole story about the splitted developers, the seperated communites,
is lead by a few people who predict that, and that.

At the end, whoever caused this tremendous ups and downs has gained thousands of coins.
To me this looks like a process of sifting, scaring everyone owning cyrptocurrencies into actions,
and the result is a destabilizing effect, many will loose their trust into this currencies.

All this looks more like fraud to me.
Cryptocurrencies have not made many friends today, but lost a lot of them.
Less people own more now. Great.

You mean all your BTC is frozen now? Even with all those hype transactions BCH is fast as shit.
It didnt take half an hour to have a small amount transferred from Poloniex to Bitfinex, fully confirmed and ready to go.
Though the fee still was more than I expected.

Bitcoin will be under $1000 by Monday or Tuesday.

Zander wrote:

"In at most six months I'm sure we'll just drop the 'Cash' and call it 'Bitcoin'."

wow!

and Im tired of paying $20 transaction fees, so good. Its finally over.

You know what I really dislike, all this funny faces, like BCH would change anything behind the curtains.
It is the few that had many BTC, who are able to buy even more BCH now.
If you had none, its already too late, BCH hit the $1000 today.
What is so amusing now?
It is not money for free, though some who had those $7500 Bitcoin, now think its that way.
Even worse, BTC started at literally 0 Cent, and everyone could get it.
With BCH this was never the case. ITs even worse, now that everyone knows,
tomorrow this $1000 BCH could be $10.000 or more.
It is a privilege, for those who owned BTC....nothing has changed.

My guess; some players are playing the pump and dump with BCH.

I will play it safe and buy another BItcoin and watch the price go over 10k next year.

With the Federal Reserve printing USD like no tomorow, people will be buying lots of Bitcoins, along with ETH, LTC, and others.

That is a fact you should mention more often.
The dollar paper.
We had that shit in germany 1920's, everyone was a millionaire, 1 Million Reichsmark.
Everyone.  1 US-Dollar equaled 4,2 trillion Mark.

I dont know why the bitcoin price down so fast who know some big event please give me the reasons.

The only reason is because Segwit 2x was canceled and this caused a mass hysteria sell off. This was the only reason the price was inflated the last few days as well and this drop off is perfectly normal. Look for bitcoin to stablize in a few weeks.

nope, this answer is too shallow.

yes, Segwit2x is cancelled. That is the short answer.
But what was Segwit2x about?
About hyping BTC, making people jump on the bandwagon?
And now they leave and everything is as usual?

Just another fork...but what are these forks about?
