A very good initiative has been come from one of the forum member named ICOethics who have busted hundreds of scam ICO within last year. I think some members like him can bring the previous scenery here and make the forum clean and scam free.

Also, you should take a look here, I like their approach and it's called Daicore. They say investor can withdraw from underperforming projects or scams and apparently they should go live soon as I see some ICOs listed on their website.

Re: when they say crypto's are "banned" in other countries outside USA what's that?
by

As a long-term goal we should overcome this paradigm. If you find a way to ban crypto, be sure that we'll find a solution - but it shouldn't work like this. By banning, I believe states want to hide internal problems. When your hear banning, it sounds like something bad; illegal - but it's a huge differencee between illegal and bad.

Re: Crypto as a payment method for goods: what to expect in 2019
by

Statistics show that the number of Bitcoin ATMs is raising. I hope that the utility will be increased. In this way the curiosity of new users will be increased and new users who want to be integrated will appear. I hope that the amounts of transactions will also increased, because new merchants are starting to accept this way of payment. The good news is that we have a lot of enthusiasts and this works like a trend which maintains the notoriety.

Re: What is the best coin buy now?
by

on 27/02/2019, 14:18:30 UTC
Nothing will be more best to buy or invest for the top 20 coins in the Coin Market Cap site. We are still on the bearish market and the coins under top 20 have a great potential and more trusted and secured compare to tokens or coins that recently  added to crypto market. BTC and ETH will be my preferred to buy.

LOL, I think now the market has risen and had a good sign of recovering in the next month. The bearish market will disappear and I think to invest in ICO will bring a huge profit. Investing in BTC and ETH is good for the long-term, and I hate for waiting so long.

Yes, I have the same point here. It's safe to hold BTC and ETH for long-term like a safety belt, but when we're talking about now the situation gets complicated. However, for new coins, we should not be distracted by hype - but at the same time take advantage of it

While reading this topic, I find that it's better to invest in first 25 coins because they have big chances to develop opportunities.

Even though Bitcoin is not an usual currency, it occupies a special place in people's mentality. This currency has the capacity to bring value to us trough its own existence. Thus, it creates a viable alternative to increase the standards.

by

If you wanna know the withdrawal fees each exchange charges, have a look here :

https://www.feexplorer.io/

This is very useful, I used to have this problem.

I advise you to keep large amounts of money in your wallet, not on the platform, even if you are a daily trader.

Also, if you are trading a rare currency, think twice if the platform you find is trustworthy. Exclusivity for a coin is hard to pay. There were cases when the platforms were closed.

Theoretical strategies have little chance of getting real. I say this because the market is very fluid. The advice I offer is to clearly specify  estimated trading period you want.

Re: Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization
by

What role do you think Bitcoin plays in the context of globalization? Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization
Examples of localization in the crypto world are probably centralized coins that belong to banks, companies and nations. The way of dealing with it and making Bitcoin win is what's called glocalization: adapting global stuff to local cultures. This could be done by making region-specific reasons for people to adopt this coin and by making local merchants accept it as payment.
I didn't think in this specific way. The concept is interesting. On a wider scale, the essence of our currency is lost, but local it wins. At the local level the trust is gained, because it respect the custom of the region that adopted it. Running the same conceptual idea of glocalization, I think that the key of adoption at a larger scale it's by uniting more people in one entity directed by the same concept.

Also, trying to create an infinite number of shitcoins reduces the likelihood of decentralization.

It is true, the level of confidence and specificity decreases.

Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing?
by
Dumont31
on 17/02/2019, 22:10:57 UTC
Weapons have a multifaceted character. Weapons can, for example, be considered as a method or as an objective itself. It could be cool to hold a weapon, this is as an objective, because it is a passion. As a mean, you can hold a weapon for killing or to defend yourself against others.

As statistics we can see

• 1984 to 1994: 19 incidents

• 1994 to 2004 (ban is in effect): 12 incidents

• 2004 to 2014: 34 incidents

These statistics show the following idea that as an pragmatic effect, indeed, mass shooting has been reduced. I consider the law of arms to be influenced by the tradition of the place where the law is implemented. The number of weapons-related crimes is 25 times higher in the US than in any other developed country.

Yes, they have a new leader. It is an economic rule that tells us that as long as there is demand there will be an offer. It is very possible not to recover the fortune. Anyway, it is funny the hypothesis by which El Chapo's money would pay the wall. I do not think his money will be recovered, especially as we are talking about net worth. Most likely they will remain in goods that will be difficult to trace.

You cannot stop propagating information, even if you ban its main channels of distribution. Social Media has played a decisive role in this movement. In most of the countries that have had riots, rebalancing has been achieved somehow. We must not forget that Syria is still in a tragic situation. The Arab Spring has taught us that dictators have limited days and  they cannot oppose to the masses that are fighting for a cause. Mohamed Bouazizi was a visionary for his business, but because of coruption he could not potentiate it. When you try to stop the free markets as state, surely the result will not be a good one.

This is a nice point of view  Shocked I missed this detail. In other ways, however, it was not a crime committed through violence. I read that is a whole campaign pro Ross Ulbricht with a lot organizations.

Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht is serving a double life sentence + 40 years without parole for all non-violent charges associated with creating the Silk Road website.
El Chapo has an impressive record, has escaped twice from prison and he risks being locked up for life.
          What do you think?

Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization
by
Dumont31
on 13/02/2019, 15:31:39 UTC
As you can see the changes that we live in are profound, especially in this dynamic era. The technology plays an essential role not only from the perspective of creating new infrastructures, but also from the perspective of its conceptualization. I strongly believe that in the coming years, a large amount of the non-integrated population in the financial system will gain a particular desire to be part of the new system  - without linking to central authorities. Economies are becoming increasingly interlinked. At the moment, our money in the wallet is worthwhile because there is someone who guarantees for it. What if we still have money that are still recognized without the need for someone as central power to authenticate and supervise them? This is my way of conceptualisation these changes.
What role do you think Bitcoin plays in the context of globalization? Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization
