Dusk Network | Running the CLI Wallet in our Staging Environment

In this article we provide information on our CLI wallet, what it is used for, and recent upgrades.
The Dusk CLI Wallet operates like a full node in our staging environment and can be used to join consensus as a block generator and provisioner, to receive, stake, and transfer test tokens, and to view balances and addresses.
To simplify access to our staging environment, we introduced easy-to-use buttons that help early testers with wallet interactions.
Alongside the wallet, we also released version 0.2 of our network node that specializes in minimizing possible errors, improving performance and stability, and streamlining the user experience.

Kelvin is created by Dusk Network, and has been an indispensable tool for modeling truly blockchain-optimized data-structures that are used by the transaction model and the smart contract engine.

Do you mean that mainnet will be launched in this year? Are you going to have token swap with mainnet or when tokens will be swapped to native coins?
Hi Gembira, we will launch a 'sandbox' mainnet this year which is crucial for the integration of our partners. A tokenswap will happen at a later stage.

While according your last post with table there are 279 mln tokens which has been unlocked already. So why on CMC shows 167 mln tokens in circulating instead of 279?
We have already applied to have them change it to the correct circulating supply.

November 30th, 2018 we successfully closed our private sale. Now, a year later, our novel second-by-second vesting set-up has fully concluded. During this period our team has grown and worked tirelessly to bring Dusk Network from DevNet to the advanced technology that it is today.
At Dusk Network we have always strived to lead the space, and this includes taking corporate responsibility and being as transparent as is commercially viable. On top of our frequent communications around fin/dev/biz we have created a new page where information on Dusk Network's Token Metrics is aggregated.
The page provides insights into the reserve budgets (a visualization of the data of our earlier token stats blog) and shows the amount of tokens that are vested (theoretically unlocked). The actual spend for all budgets is a lot lower, or none. Please consult metrics.dusk.network for aggregated information on token metrics, and supply.dusk.network for the actual circulating supply.

This kind of development makes me think that i have bet even if they somehow were f*ed with those huge partnerships they have hinted about or they lose the sto race, securities aren't the only application that dusk can be used for. There are huge implications for this kind of tech ready to be explored. Just think of what kind of projects could one Dusk hackhaton sprout...
We are far from 'f*ed' when it comes to the partnerships. They're all very much alive and kicking, we're just finalizing a couple of things before they're made public. As for the 'STO race' I personally think we are well ahead of everyone else.

The overhaul includes various protocol upgrades that further strengthen the security of the network, and extensive testing harness which increases the efficiency of our testing module & coverage, and a healthy amount of bug fixes.

Have i understood correctly that you are basically pitching Dusk to them against the solutions of New Alchemy and Europechain (that i assume that are making private blockchains)?
Or do you even see them as a competition? Now i know that you are maybe mainly invited just to talk as a tech expert, but i am hoping that you will be injecting sales pitch to it.
We do whatever is needed for Dusk, being part of 2tokens definitely helps put items that are relevant for Dusk on the agenda. New Alchemy is a very large tech provider. We don't see them as competition, but rather as a great industry partner. Europechain focuses on different fields so we don't see them as competition either.

Over the past two days, a team of Engineers and Developers from Dusk Network were attending ZK proof event in Amsterdam. The event was hosted by Deloitte, in collaboration with QEDIT, where many industry leaders from both blockchain and commercial space came together. "ZK Proof" is a movement designed to bring together tech companies who utilize this contemporary cryptography, in an effort to standardize the works so that a more concrete benchmark can be offered to enterprises.
