Do you swap domains? I have a couple BTC related domains.

Possibly.  Let me know what you have and what you would want.

Massive Number of Bitcoin Domains (and some non-Bitcoin domains) for Auction
by
DynamicDK
on 24/10/2014, 17:52:01 UTC
Hello Everyone!

I started to make individual auctions for these, but I don't want to spam the market, so I will do it in bulk.  I went through a phase where I was collecting domains, and ended up grabbing a bunch of BTC related ones, followed by cannabis related ones thanks to Colorado and Washington's legalization increasing the demand for these domains.  However, out of all the domains that I own, there are very few for which I have any immediate plans.

The chart should be clear, but in case it isn't, the first number beside each domain is either it's minimum bid, or it's current bid.  The second number beside each domain is the minimum increment for bidding.

Auction will end on November 7, 2014.  I have no stated BIN prices, but if I get a high enough offer on any domain, I reserve the right to sell it immediately.

While all bidding should be done in BTC, I am willing to accept other currencies for the actual transaction, based on the Cryptsy market rate at the time of the transaction.  Specifically, Dogecoin, Darkcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin, Reddcoin, or Namecoin are all fine for payment.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey everyone,

Mybitwallet.org is for sale.  Auction will end on November 7, 2014, or if I get a bid high enough to convince me to sell it outright.

Starting bid is 0.1 BTC
Increments in 0.1 BTC as well

While all bidding should be done in BTC, I am willing to accept other currencies for the actual transaction, based on the Cryptsy market rate at the time of the transaction.  Specifically, Dogecoin, Darkcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin, Reddcoin, or Namecoin are all fine for payment.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Advertise Your Business on Coin Brief
by
DynamicDK
on 24/10/2014, 16:31:40 UTC
Hello Everyone,

Coin Brief is a digital currency news, information, and analytics website that we have been building since early this year.  We have sold some advertising slots in the past, as you may notice that quite a few of our banner ads are for Bitcoin-based companies, but we have never publicly listed our ad space, nor really advertised our company itself.

Currently we are using Google Adsense as a backup, but would like to move away from that, and advertise exclusively for Bitcoin-based, or Bitcoin accepting companies.  Our current unique visitors per day seems to range anywhere between 500 and 2000, and obviously the vast majority of these users are either interested in digital currency, especially Bitcoin, or they are at least curious.

According to our User Demographic Analytics, compared to the average US internet user:

-Our users are 1.6x as likely to be 18-25, 1.8x as likely to be 25-34.  These two groups make up ~31% and ~20% of our userbase, respectively (compared to ~12% and ~17% for average US internet users)

-Our users are 1.14x as likely to have income in the $100-150k range, and 1.36x as likely to have income in the $150k+ range.  These two groups make up ~14% and ~11% of our userbase, respectively (compared to ~12 and ~8% for average US internet users)

-Our users are 1.3x as likely to be attending college, or have finished an undergraduate degree.  They also are 1.37x as likely to be in grad school, or already have an advanced degree.  These two groups make up ~53% and ~20% of our userbase, respectively (compared to ~41% and ~14% for average US internet users).

The standard rate we have been selling adspace for is $5 per 1000 impressions, paid in Bitcoin.  We have a minimum of $100 for an advertising purchase, which would translate into 20,000 impressions.  These rate at which these impressions are generated can be setup in a multitude of ways, from limiting your advertisement to being shown only one time per day for each user (to maximize effectiveness, as a user is more likely to click the first time they see an ad on a given day), to being shown as often as possible, and anything in between.  We will customize it to fit you.

That being said, we are open to bids for lower CPMs (less than $5 per 1000 impressions), but be aware that if we do accept a lower rate, your advertisement will automatically be pushed behind higher paying advertisers, until the impression rules they have set are met.

Also, for new companies or businesses, we offer a Press Release publishing service.  We will NOT write a Press Release for you, though I will personally proofread and edit it if you request.  The rate for this is variable, depending on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, the industry your business is focused on, your name recognition, and the "innovativeness" of your company.  Some Press Releases we will publish for very little, or even for free, if your company is doing something truly outstanding, but you are not yet in the financial position to pay for marketing.  In other cases, a Press Release may cost $250 or more.

We are also willing to work out a package deal for a Press Release + Advertising to give a discount on the entire amount, without lowering your ad's CPM that is shown in our system (thus not pushing it behind others).

Finally, we reserve the right to refuse to accept an advertiser for any reason, regardless of the payment that is offered.  Specifically, we will not allow any advertisement that is related to pornographic material, anything illegal, and we will be very cautious with any gambling websites (and will likely require quite a bit of information about what you are doing).  We also will not advertise for companies with a known history of unethical, or fraudulent behavior.

If you, or your company, are interested in this, please send an email to contact@coinbrief.net or message me directly here.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best Regards,

The Coin Brief Team

Looking For Developer To Create A Multipool (or Sell / Modify an Existing One)
by
DynamicDK
on 19/10/2014, 20:31:17 UTC
Hello,

Myself and a few friends have been wanting to create a multipool for some time, and between a few of them, there is a rather large amount of hashing power (or, large amount that can be obtained) ready to jump start it.

We have already contacted a few developers that have created multipools, and one of those may work out...However, if you have the ability to fulfill our requirements, please message me with a timeframe / cost.

We would like a pool setup in a similar way to Exclusivecoin's official pool( http://thepool.pw/EXCL/ ), with support for SHA256, Scrypt, and X11 at least.  X13, Scrypt-N, etc. would all be nice as well, but are not necessary as long as we have the ability to add those on at a later date.

The basis for the multipool could be your own code, or use existing, open-source code with the additional features added in.  If you have experience with node.js, then NOMP ( https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal/ ) may be a good starting point, as it has much of the required work to create a functioning multipool ready, but is missing a few key features.

To be clear, the requirements we need are as follows:

- The ability to have the multipool pay out in a single currency (with the ability to change the currency it is paying out in if we want), including keeping track of each miner's shares, and properly removing any fees that we set
- Profit switching (the exact criteria used to determine which coin to mine does not need to be defined, but should be easily modified based on our own calculations)
- Support for mining at least the top 5-10 currencies of each algorithm (5 would be enough for X11, but Scrypt would need to be closer to 10)
- Integration with Cryptsy's API for transferring coins to it, selling them, and then withdrawing the single currency back out.

For more specific details on what we need, or if you have the source code for a previously created multipool that could potentially meet our needs, please contact me with an estimate / sales price. (for those that have proprietary source code already written, we are willing to agree to not share the code outside of the context of our own development, and will agree to not resell your code in any way)

Is there a text transcript?

I personally hate videos of what should be text, too easy to mis-hear and hard to skim back temporarily, etc.

The transcript is available there now (along with YouTube and Soundcloud embedding, so you can read along while listening if you prefer).

There is no text transcript at the moment.  I'll ask Sean if he is planning to add one later.

A text transcript should be available on Coin Brief tomorrow.

Sean had the chance to sit down with Erik Voorhees last night, and chat about the New York BitLicense Regulations and Bitcoin Privacy.  Erik has a strong grasp of the situation, and makes a lot of really good points about what is happening with New York, and how it should be handled.

Coin Brief Needs Coin Representatives from the Digital Currency Communities!
by
DynamicDK
on 28/07/2014, 19:24:49 UTC
Hey everyone,

We have had quite a bit of interest in our Coin Representative program thus far, but we still need more participation.  At this point, we have Representatives from over 10 currencies, and some currencies actually have up to 3 representatives (which will likely be our limit).

Coin Brief's Coin Representative program is a system we are building to give members of the various digital currency communities a voice to present the positive points, advances, technical details, news, etc. about their currency of choice.  Coin Brief's staff is working to cover as many currencies as we can, with a focus on Bitcoin, but it would be impossible for us to adequately understand, explain, and write about every digital currency that exists.

If you would like to be a representative for a digital currency, and are an active member of that community, or just would like to know more about the Coin Representative program, please check out these pages:
http://coinbrief.net/coin-brief-needs-coin-reps/
http://coinbrief.net/coin-brief-coin-representatives/
http://coinbrief.net/coinreps/rules/

If anyone has any questions, or would like to apply, please contact me on here via PM or email Coin Brief at contact@coinbrief.net
