Account protection based on systemic or nonsystemic risks? I'll try to answer both.

We are an ERC-20 CRYPTO employing zsnarks, keypairs and cold storage of private keys just like ZCash, Golem, Gnosis or other ETH token. So you can rest assured we dont hold your private keys and you can store them in your Trezor or Ledger Nano if you want the securest protection out there for your wallet account.
As far as systemic security, we ride on the ETH platform and monitor and lobby the ETH foundation on security frontiers. We expect that after the metropolis fork we should be able not only to enable safe refunds on wrong sendoffs but also eliminate the existing threat of quantum hacking with masking enabled.
Look at it this way,  if you hold fiat thanks to inflation you are guaranteed to lose at least 2% even in the strongest currency annually. In 10 years your "savings" will be 30% their value and in 20 will be half!

 Cryptic people. We just ended our PRE-ICO period. Although it was a dramatic time of price swings, we raised a decent amount to keep us a viable project.

 Well, here's 3 key reasons that we go into in depth in our whitepaper but in summary:
 1. This is  a  crypto revolution we joining.. a platform that is DECENTRALIZED and can enable a whole lot innovation by the PEOPLE just like BTC or Monero or Ripple compare against USD or Peso or yen. Am sure if you on this forum you  know the benefits of crypto vs fiat.
 2. East African colonial currencies are weak, manipulated by corrupt govts and thus  HORRIBLE in inflation. Think of  the Feds QE on steroids year after year. Dont trust me.. ..look for yourself  at any of their 5 year currency vs the dollar and see how you would be LOSING  by HODLing their currencies.
 3. BTC and ETH are good, but lets face it mining is an intense costly power consuming practice not ecofriendly at all and so not for everyone, much less 3rd world nations. ETH too is good but theres no marketplace of people who will stake it and offer it locally. With EACO, we have a community of backers- with local agents/vendors who will CASH out your crypto. Each region of Africa will now have their own coin just as each region of the world have their own alt-coin variants. Now THATS decentralization...we not looking for globalization of 1 crypto but the opposite, in an alternate setup where govts or inter-govt treaties  run by oligarchs cannot easily screw the avg citizen.

Careful there.... your words are borderline fighting words. Seems people in this thread forget Africans have been around a whole lot longer than any of you, your religions or wars with their "low IQs". If you really want to talk deep history, we can go there. Just be warned the results may not align too well with preconceived notions of humanity's origin according to religions.

Now the best minds on earth today will openly admit that the human DNA tree points to a certain race and best geologists can map out certain migratory routes that originated from a certain continent. The proof and evidence of prehistoric fossils  from the anthropologists show a clear story that stretches hundreds of thousands of years for  homo sapiens. No sane person today can refute this evidence from the paleo era. I would not be too quick to dismiss a civilization that outlived other primates and endured life this far. WW3 would just be the end of this THIS era, but some of u know 2000, 6000 or whatever years you want to claim is but a tiny dot in human timeline of millions of years. These low IQ folk managed the earth and its resources way better than the high IQ ones and never left nuclear radioactive toxic waste to screw future generation 10,000 years later or wipe out species of life in such a short period.

The more I read on this topic, the more this post seems to haunt me... Wiser words do not seem near when you think about this dilemma we are now in. The deeper meaning of this  lies somewhere to that answer. Historically, humans tended to swing toward the authoritarian control and that pendulum does not return until some catastrophic event.
Technically speaking, we are yet to truly see anything like what it will be like in 5-10 years. Then blockchain will take off but then again..it depends on what direction.

Realist, you sure do have a stark view of things. Very sobering thoughts. I do especially like your coined term of "cognitive dissonance" . It fits well within Maslows hierarchy of needs. The avg being can handle only so much part by design and part by evolution. I admit I do get a case of that, when discussions about dark matter, black holes and time warps occur. So I think many choose to dissociate from such topics when the fear of the unknown is that great.
