I was scammed by Octaex as well. I attempted to withdraw about $100 in BTC to my wallet (Triple checked the address) and after 48 hours, about 1/3 of the amount I requested was sent TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ADDRESS. When I say 'completely different', I don't mean that I made a typo with my address. I mean that it resembled nothing of my address.
I'm glad my first trade with them was for a small amount, as it will be my last.

Solo mining (currently there are no pools) is going well, but I see a bunch of people having issues understanding how to get started. Due to this, I am pasting the guide that has been shared and pinned on Telegram below.

- Download the Mining software from the link on the official website, or the official Bitcointalk thread.
- launch the miner
- type "account new"
it should prompt you and ask to set a new password. Enter a password (be careful, there are no double checks. If you fail this and enter a password you then don't know where you fucked up, go to the Troubleshoot step)
- type "contract select 0x8f7dbf90e71285552a687097220e1035c2e87639" , 0xXXXXX being the Catether's smart contract address
- type "config web3provider https://mainnet.infura.io/gmXEVo5luMPUGPqg" (it's an "L" lowercase, not a " i " uppercase 🙂)
solo mining :
- type "config gasprice X". (X should be between 3 and 11 Gwei; check on ethgasstation.info for more precision
- type "account list". Write down the public address that shows up as "selected account"
- send some Ether on the address that shows up above.
- type "mine cuda" (Solo-mining with a CPU won't work, unless you're the most lucky guy on earth, ahah)
pool mining:
- type "pool select http://#####.com:###" (this should be the address provided by your pool)
- type "pool mine cuda", or "pool mine" if you don't have a GPU (I wouldn't recommend to mine with your CPU, though, it's inefficient)
troubleshooting :
- go in ~/AppData/Roaming/.0xbitcoin/0xbtcminerstore/ and delete the vaultdata file. Go back to step one.

What's the point with a 65% -80% pre-mine. there is no point. And this is exactly what a couple of wallets do on the main pool.
This is not a premine, just 60-70% of arionum emission are controlled by a few persons. Devs don't care. very soon aro mining won't be profitable even for cloudminers, only will stay for shitty botnets and trial accs.
Hashrate has rose on 150%since past week, but quantity of miners on pool stays unchanged, about 600.
Some time ago Monero miners was totally fckd up by large botnets like coinhive, and some other js webminers and compromised pc botnets. Now the time of Arionum.
Are you trying to say that miners increasing the hardware and resources that they use to mine is a problem?
Botnets have always been used to mine just about every algo out there. This is not an issue.
Of course the hashrate has risen; people took the coins they have earned, cashed some in, and reinvested. Due to this, they were able to increase their hashrate and earn more. Don't be angry that you didn't do the same thing.
Coinhive is not a botnet.
I'm not sure if you're young, stupid, autistic, or a mix of all three, but please do some research before jumping to conclusions.

It's really nice to see new coins coming up that are coded in new languages, new algos, and different ways to change the game up. I'm very interested in this coin and can't wait to see it on some exchanges. I know I'll be grabbing a few bags.

There is already an sha244 coin out and being mined.
Do you really think ASICs are goin to be manufactured and produced for a new algo when the market cap is still low?
If there was only some type of website that would let people type in keywords and it show results based on their query.
