What are Legal Risks in Crypto World ?
by
EdmonLeung
on 17/12/2019, 10:05:07 UTC
Together with the explosion of interest in the digital currency and all its implications for new and traditional companies, the legal impact of these new technologies and currencies needs to be made clearer. Given that governments around the world, regulatory agencies, central banks, and other financial institutions work to understand the nature and significance of digital money, individual investors can invest in this new environment. On the other hand, when buying and selling cryptocurrencies, investors assume certain legal risks.

Although digital currency is easy to confuse for traditional electronic money, this is not the same; similarly, as it is not physically owned and carried between parties, it is unlike conventional cash currencies. The fact that space has only been popular recently in comparison to more conventional currency and payment systems is part of the uncertainty of the legal status of the digital currency. Below, we will discuss some of the new legal ramifications of cryptocurrency investment.

Cryptocurrencies as Property

How the central government views cryptocurrency investments is a vital legal concern for any cryptocurrency investor. In the United States, the IRS has described cryptocurrencies not as currencies but as assets

Analyzing Bitcoin Price Prediction Models for 2020
by
EdmonLeung
on 16/12/2019, 02:21:32 UTC
If you’re getting fed up with all the forecasts of the bitcoin price, well, get used to it, because I’m planning to write a couple more before we go into 2020.

The digital asset has experienced a halving event every four years since the development of Bitcoin (BTC) in 2009, reducing the number of coins continuously entering the economy by half, rendering it a deflationary asset.

Based on its hard-coded scarcity, Bitcoin has risen dramatically in value over the years, giving the commodity a high stock-to-flow ratio. Historically, Bitcoin has measured band rates below its median before half years while graphically illustrated with variance bands.

PlanB’s proposed stock-to-flow (SF) formula has become widely accepted as an accurate model for forecasting Bitcoin’s price given the strong correlation that continues to this day. We have discussed this model many times before

The stock-to-flow method, using gold as an example, discusses the shortage of the metal as it aligns with its production and the amount of new gold made available annually, the article noted.

What is DeFi ❓ What Do You Need To Know About Decentralized Finance?
by
EdmonLeung
on 13/12/2019, 01:35:13 UTC
Ultimately, the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) blockchain-powered space is still nascent, but provides a compelling value proposition by which individuals and institutions make use of broader access to financial applications without the need for a trusted intermediary. This development will benefit especially people who have not previously had access to such financial services. However, DeFi is offering a full capital market. Thought in a tiny format at this point in time. But it’s growing

What is decentralized finance and who is it for?

On the Ethereum blockchain, the most popular programmable blockchain in the world, almost all DeFi applications are built. Ethereum is a blockchain network that maintains a digital value shared ledger. The members who compose the network monitor the issuance of ether (ETH), the native cryptocurrency of the network, in a decentralized manner, rather than a central authority.

Developers are able to program Ethereum applications that can create, store, and manage digital assets on the blockchain, also called tokens. These are known as smart contracts or decentralized applications (DApps). They are the Ethereum blockchain’s contracts or agreements. Or rather, applications or scripts running on the Ethereum network only as programmed. Without the need for a middle man, you can build complex irreversible agreements.

The rise of DeFi

In fact, many serious teams have embraced and developed the underlying technology in order to achieve real results during the apparent calm. The advent of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications, which will likely drive the next wave of disruption, is one of the main innovations arising from this era.

Interoperability and Open Source: when designing their projects, DeFi leaders take interoperability into account. It helps to strengthen all of our projects as a whole’s compounding impact. Open sourcing helps us achieve this goal by enabling us to collectively understand how all our products can be technically woven together.
Accessibility and Financial Inclusion: DeFi leaders aim to create a financial infrastructure that can be used by anyone with an internet connection. DeFi’s dream is a world in which meaning flows freely, regardless of one’s position.
Financial transparency: DeFi members believe that financial services should not be structured in secret silos, but that market-level data should be available to all stakeholders while protecting the privacy of individuals.

What Crypto to Buy in 2020 ? 6 Best Cheap & Promising Crypto to Invest
by
EdmonLeung
on 11/12/2019, 05:35:23 UTC
The year 2020 is shaping up to be a pivotal year in Bitcoin’s history, culminating in its history’s third halving, scheduled for May. This occurrence will be paired with economic and political developments to create perfect conditions throughout the year for a very significant rise in Bitcoin’s value.

You probably know that, but I’ll still remind you: Bitcoin is indexed to the cryptocurrency market. Therefore, if Bitcoin’s price increases sharply in 2020, the whole cryptocurrency market will rise. Not all cryptocurrencies, however, will see their prices rising in the same way.

The challenge is to predict that cryptocurrencies the most attractive price rises in 2020 will be expected. In what follows, by presenting you with the 6 cryptocurrencies to buy for 2020 and beyond, I try my luck.

1. Bitcoin (BTC)

I’m not going to be original to begin with, but quite efficient. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency I suggest purchasing for 2020. For Bitcoin, 2019 has been an excellent year with a score of +100 percent so far.

The dominance of Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency industry once again surpassed 65%.

Some say Bitcoin has been obsolete technologically, but it has never been so powerful. Block by block, Bitcoin is still moving forward and will continue to do so in 2020. The expected halving in May 2020 as well as unstable political and economic conditions should make it possible for Bitcoin to return to the peaks reached by the end of 2017.

If you want to make a profit in 2020 with cryptocurrencies, you need to buy Bitcoins. In a few months, the current price of $7,400 is likely to be seen as very cheap.

Would You Trust Libra Coin With Your Money?
by
EdmonLeung
on 10/12/2019, 02:37:59 UTC
Digital currency Libra needs the global reach of Facebook to thrive, but its opposition is also driven by the social network. Controversy reigns as regulators assemble

By June 2019, there were more than 2,400 cryptocurrencies in circulation, with occasional daily launches. Most of them were almost useless, virtually no one knew of them, and they would never be. So when another –called Libra –was announced on June 18 in a white paper, you might have expected that it would not attract more attention than any of the others.

Yet Libra has received a huge amount of attention from the moment of its launch. The project made many of the same promises for most new digital currencies to venture: it would work more efficiently than existing payment technologies, avoiding the enormous spikes and falling in value that made Bitcoin, the first and best-known cryptocurrency, such a roulette wheel. More eye-catching was his pledge to reach billions of unbanked people around the world–people with little or no exposure to the global financial system–to open up vast new business and work opportunities for at least some of the world’s poor and revolutionize the global financial system.

One of the biggest supporters was the main reason people heard this time: Twitter. Freshly emerging from a seemingly endless series of data privacy controversies, the social media giant now emerged as the lead partner in a plan to create a new global currency alongside a consortium of other major tech, finance, and business firms, and vowed to carry it out in early 2020.

Clearly, Libra was attacked from all sides in the weeks and months following its launch. Cryptocurrency fans said that Libra was not a true cryptocurrency because it violates some of the basic principles advocated by the sometimes techno-anarchic fan base in the community–including the important distinction that Libra transactions still depend on confidence rather than mathematical proof.

Others attacked Libra as an accumulation of corporate power. Economists cautioned that it might challenge the influence of countries over their own monetary policy, thus undermining democracy. And lawmakers and regulators around the world came together to say they would launch investigations or take action against the fledgling currency before it even started.

5 Reasons Why Litecoin May Not Become Silver Alongside Bitcoin In The Future
by
EdmonLeung
on 09/12/2019, 03:35:57 UTC
Unlike Bitcoin before it, Litecoin is an open-source, peer-to-peer digital cash network with a distributed cryptographic protocol and a native cryptocurrency. If Bitcoin is the digital gold counterpart, then digital silver would be Litecoin.

Litecoin is a Bitcoin Core client clone, which is why its software is very similar to that of Bitcoin. It was also one of Bitcoin’s first early spin-offs which helped spark the trend of producing thousands of additional altcoins flooding the market today.

Why Litecoin Might Eventually Fail As The Digital Silver To Bitcoin’s Gold

Litecoin Rode on the Back of Bitcoin’s Rally

At the right time, Litecoin caught the price momentum and rode alongside the fame of Bitcoin for a long time, Saurel commented. Charlie Lee, LTC creator, used the primary Bitcoin code with a few LTC tweaks with a promise of a faster and cheaper network.

Can Smart Contracts Be Hacked ? Attacks and Vulnerabilities in Smart Contracts
by
EdmonLeung
on 06/12/2019, 05:19:04 UTC
Ethereum apps handle financial value, making security crucial. Smart contracts have definitely had their fair share of attacks as a new, experimental technology.

Attacks

We will look at known attacks in this chapter that can be used to exploit vulnerabilities in smart contracts.

Front-running aka transaction-ordering dependence

Concordia University claims that front-running is “a course of action in which a person profits from advance access to privileged market information about potential transactions and trades.” This awareness of future market activities can contribute to manipulation.

For example, realizing that there is going to be a very large inventory of a particular token, a bad actor may buy the token in advance and sell the token for a profit when the excessive purchase order increases the price.

Front-running attacks have been a concern in financial markets for a long time, and the issue is coming up again in cryptocurrency markets because of the open nature of blockchain.

Because the solution to this problem varies by contract, it can be difficult to protect against it. Possible solutions involve batching transactions and using a pre-commit scheme (i.e. allowing users to submit later details).

DoS with block gas limit

The blocks all have a gas cap in the blockchain of the Ethereum. One of the advantages of a block gas cap is that it prevents an infinite transaction loop from being generated by hackers, but if a transaction’s gas usage reaches that limit, the transaction will fail. In a few different ways, this can lead to a DoS attack.

On Ethereum Blockchain, An Internal Flipping Just Happened. Is It Good Or Bad?
by
EdmonLeung
on 05/12/2019, 02:40:19 UTC
The blockchain of Ethereum just had its inner flipping. Let’s look closer at this.

Research on Coin Metrics suggests that the Ethereum network had an internal “flipping” due to an increase in transactions on its blockchain. What does it mean?

Something has happened recently on Ethereum blockchain, which is often called tossing. According to Coin Metrics, the number of ERC-20 tokens transactions exceeded the number of ETH coins transactions themselves for the first time in cryptocurrency history. And they could be on the verge of giving way to the new class of non-fungible tokens, as common as those tokens are. And what does all this mean? Let’s start by talking about Ethereum blockchain’s basic things.

So what’s everyone this about this “flipping?”

“The Flippening” refers to the possible future event when Ethereum overtakes Bitcoin to become the most valuable cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization.

Is Miner Capitulation A Real Thing? Does This Affect Bitcoin’s Price?
by
EdmonLeung
on 04/12/2019, 03:22:10 UTC
Mining is an essential and fundamental method for integrating Bitcoins into the system and a process that ensures equality while ensuring a stable, safe and secure Bitcoin network. Since Bitcoin began, the primary purpose of mining has been to enable Bitcoin nodes to reach a secure, manipulative-resistant consensus.

Bitcoin miners are paid in Bitcoin, which currently stands at 12.5 Bitcoin for each block mined, in exchange for running the verification to verify Bitcoin transactions. Nonetheless, after every 210,000 frames, this bonus decreases, meaning the coin reward will decrease from 12.5 to 6.25 Bitcoin and is expected to take place on Friday, May 15, 2020. Obviously, miners will benefit if Bitcoins ‘ price exceeds mine’s value. Nevertheless, with recent technological changes and the establishment of professional mining centers with huge computing power, many individual miners are asking themselves, is bitcoin mining still profitable?

Blocks of verified transactions must be “hashed” before being added to the blockchain for your reference, as Bitcoins are mined. By completing an intentionally difficult mathematical puzzle, each of these hashes is created. Hash Rate is a measure of how many times this puzzle can be completed every second by the network.

Read more DoggBitCoin.Com

There are a variety of observations made by several publications about the knock-on impact of when miners sell, but essentially it depends entirely on how well they do their operations. With price drop and drop, Hash Rate will be consistent with the overall conditions of the market. Inefficient and cost effective companies are forced to remain until the price recovers or they actually have to supply cheaper electricity, install more effective mining equipment and cut costs to be competitive in general.

With the introduction of new services to help miners become more efficient, the resulting effects on the Hash Rate and Mining Diifculty will continue to be closely monitored.

The current market sentiment is turning the stomachs of many investors, with price movements being incredibly brutal to those on the wrong side of their investments. Whilst the patience of investors is constantly being tested, we have seen that even after the retraxement of 47% from the highs, $BTC has still produced over 100% return YT, and still one of the best-performing asset class by a wide margin.

It is important to note that investing in digital assets is associated with a high degree of risk, although it can be profitable. As we said earlier, using data to make informed decisions and paying careful attention to important factors on the respective networks will not only allow you to change your portfolio accordingly, but will also help you to understand the structure of the market as a whole.

In 2020, How To Value An Altcoin?
by
EdmonLeung
on 28/11/2019, 10:39:57 UTC
Let’s talk about a simple yet important currency valuation perspective; cryptocurrency or fiat.

This valuation approach starts with the interpretation of an essential concept that has been put conveniently within the definition of the word cryptocurrency-a subtle definition that has been lost on many investors, sadly.

Looking at the word cryptocurrency more closely, we see that it is a compound word-that is, two smaller words combined to create a new word with its own meaning:

    CRYPTO: a word cryptography abbreviation; the art of writing or solving ciphers and codes;
CURRENCY: something used as a means of exchange; money.

Cryptocurrency is generally defined as a compound word as a digital currency that uses encryption as a mechanism for validating and verifying transactions.

So what is it that lends itself to a new perspective on valuing altcoins within the term cryptocurrency?

What Is Currency?

Currency is a medium of goods and services exchange. In short, it’s money, usually issued by a government in the form of paper or coins, and generally accepted as a method of payment at its face value.

In the modern world, money is the main means of exchange, having long since replaced bartering as a means of exchanging goods and services.

A new form of currency entered the language, the virtual currency, in the 21st century. Virtual currencies like bitcoins have no physical existence or support from the government and are traded and stored in electronic form.

[2019 - 11 - 27] What Is The Upcoming Bitcoin Halving Big Deal In 2020?
by
EdmonLeung
on 27/11/2019, 05:57:32 UTC
What is Bitcoin Halving ?

Unlike fiat currencies that central banks can print at will, bitcoin’s supply is algorithmically limited. Only 21 million bitcoins will ever exist. By definition, this makes it, as opposed to an inflationary, a deflationary asset.

Every 10 minutes, miners solve a “block” of bitcoin transactions and add it to the blockchain of bitcoin. This is complicated and expensive work, requiring a lot of power and specialized hardware. So why is anyone going to do it first? Because the algorithm rewards miners with new bitcoins that are generated and added every 10 minutes to the circulating supply. This new BTC distribution is called the “block reward.”

The block reward is 50 BTC when Bitcoin first appeared. That means someone, somewhere, got 50 bitcoins delivered to their wallet every 10 minutes. This was back in the days when BTC was worth a penny and you could use a laptop to mine it.

So does this mean that money basically falls from the sky on those people who run giant mining platforms of warehouse size? Yes, but for their efforts they don’t earn nearly as much BTC anywhere. At present, the reward for the block is only 12.5 BTC.

What has happened? The reward for the block was cut in half, twice. This is a bitcoin programmed feature that occurs every four years (210,000 blocks). The block reward is cut in half once that number is crossed. The cycle is predetermined and will continue until sometime in the year 2140 the last bitcoin is mined.

This process is called a “halving” cycle and may have long-term effects on BTC’s cost. Around 1 year from now, it’s set to happen again.

The technological basis for bitcoin halving

When Bitcoin was first developed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009, he made a decentralized model in which Bitcoin could be distributed without any person or group of people being involved. The innovative idea of bitcoin mining was that by verifying bitcoin transactions, miners would receive bitcoins as a reward for successfully generating a new block.

Satoshi Nakamoto established some rules in the bitcoin protocol to determine how these bitcoins will be distributed among the miners. The first rule was that bitcoin will have a limited supply of 21 million, which means that in the world only 21 million bitcoins can be produced and mined. The second rule was that Bitcoin reward would be halved every time 210,000 blocks were mined in the Bitcoin blockchain. This will continue until all 21 million bitcoins have been mined.

This case of bitcoin reward being halved once 210,000 bitcoins are mined is called bitcoin halving.

At the launch of Bitcoin in 2009, miners used to get 50 bitcoins as a reward for successfully mining a block. The first half of bitcoin took place in 2012, when the incentive for bitcoin fell from 50 bitcoins to 25 bitcoins. The second half of the Bitcoin event took place in mid-2

[2019 - 11- 25] The 4 Possible Bitcoin Scenarios In The Long Run
by
EdmonLeung
on 25/11/2019, 00:44:57 UTC
Bitcoin Leaves No One Indifferent

That’s obvious, but I think that pointing this out is important.

Some are the Bitcoin’s absolute supporters and its revolution. Bitcoin is a real opportunity for them to restore a fully decentralized and trust-based financial system. Among these supporters are the famous HODLERS who are conscientiously accumulating Bitcoin month after month, whatever their price, because they are convinced that in the future their price will reach new heights.

There are central bankers, economists and politicians, on the other hand, who see Bitcoin as a major risk. Nonetheless, Bitcoin’s mass acceptance may clearly undermine its ability to create infinite money.

Then there are the media that use Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to create sensational headlines without bothering to understand the ins and outs of this revolutionary technology.

Lastly, in the midst of all this, the general public is not sure what to think about a Bitcoin whose excessive volatility and potential role in money laundering is constantly underlined. Therefore, many people clearly do not know about Bitcoin’s potential and how it might well transform their lives in the future.

The Bitcoin Future Price Makes You Imagine

Whatever your position on Bitcoin, I’m sure you’re intrigued by at least one thing about Bitcoin. I know because almost everyone on Earth is intrigued by this thing.

Everyone asks what the Bitcoin price will be in the future.

Bitcoin’s future price makes you fantasy. Everyone therefore has a small prognosis: from Bitcoin influencers to economists, everybody seems to have their own views on the issue.

A well-known venture capitalist with significant investments in Baidu, Skype and Tesla, Tim Draper has long believed in Bitcoin and that’s why he purchased, for example, 30,000 BTC in June 2014. Consequently, its predictions on Bitcoin’s future price are necessarily influenced.

Tim Draper predicts a $250,000 worth of Bitcoin in 2022!

I think we need to be more careful on the equipment used to trade from the computer to the phone. Choose high security devices to keep the information. I use products from Apple. I do not try to advertise but it's really good.

MAC OS is not always the better option. It secure but not really 100% safe, always keep your password offline and never store cryptocurrency in exchange ( use cold wallet )
