I made some preparations in my cold storage today. Just some power and ethernet wiring left.

In total the storage will host 3xJupiter, 1xSaturn, 10x Old version overclocked blades and my USB rig with total 66 eruptors.

There is room for total ten blades in this rig.

I have to ask. EfterlysT How much did that all cost?

Its purdy!
I count 110 Block Erupters. The absolute cheapest price I've ever seen them is 0.24BTC, which is 26BTC, and that doesn't even cover the cost of those crazy expensive USB hubs, which I would guess add on another 3-4BTC.

I'm sorry, but you can buy a used 60GH/s Single for that price, and it will use prolly right around the same power consumption.
Tell me where to buy a 60gh/s machine that is in stock and i will do it Wink I dont like paying for stuff that does not even exist yest. The never ending Butterflylabs story, nah i think i will pass. I will invest in a mini rig later on when i can buy them in stock.
I said you could buy a used one. I know all too well of BFLs delay issues, but you can buy a 60GH/s Single from people right here on the forums for the same price as your 110 BEs.

And you can have all the blinkey green lights you want, as long as I'm hashing twice as fast as you.
Well i am new on this forum and i am not throwing away money to someone i dont know. I will wait until i can go by car and pay and collect a mini rig at KNC in Stockholm. My next step is a minimum 400gh/s machine, With five blades i produce 100gh/s+ total, that will due for now imo.

If i offended you in some way i am sorry.. No need to sound so angry Wink

my single does 60 ghs in one tiny little box. lol. cant imagine having all those usbs and wires, hubs etc. ugh.
Well for now it looks like shit. I will post new pics when everything is installed at my rebuilt storage.

65Gh/s more firepower will arrive within a week or so Smiley

I'm dying to know how much fiat OR btc you dropped onto these?  What maybe I'm seeing that others aren't is the rig to the left with GPUs....If you've been doing this since like 2010 then you'd have the spare coin to buy up those in an array fashion like that (not where you'd be spending 10s of thousands of dollars for that if you decided to just jump in on these back in June as a newcomer)....but for that number of eruptors (i counted 121 I could be wrong) thats just over 40 GHs...how do you even administer something of that scale?  Do you have to spend like a few hours if you were to point your BE array elsewhere?

I have not been mining anything earlier.

Lets sort out how i think about this Smiley

I have some other projects beside my fulltime job. Some of the money i put in my bitcoin project is money that i already have earned in on other things. I am not desperate to make brake even on this on short time basis. I wait for five blade miners that will brake even way much faster than the USB rig itself.  I see all my hashing power that this rig gives me as bounus power when i will buy a mini rig later on. In the end it will all go positive in the money question if nothing really drastic happends with bitcoin itself.

I have 105 USB Eruptors right now and i run them all on one Asus Rampage III Extreme mobo. they produce 35175mh/s rock solid. Administration ? They just run without any administration. I mine at bitminter and they have a really good minerprogram. I just watch the coins hitting my wallet Wink

I have to ask. EfterlysT How much did that all cost?

Its purdy!
USB Rig costed around 5000usd including Eruptors, hubs, express shipping on everything around the globe.

There's WAY more blinky green lights on 110 Erupters than on a Single, though.  Blinky green lights are where it's at.
The guy with most green lights win Wink

Thanks Smiley I am putting in five more blades tomorrow. When completed i will mount everything horizental on a wall in my new mining room.
New pics will come later when everything is in place.

Are those "Snake Bite" PVC connectors Huh  I thought they only made em for copper.
I really dont know what type they are. When you put them together it is almost impossible to take it apart again.

I hope there are some fans around there which were removed just for the photo's. For the lazy, it's ~275 watts.
No problem, i got two giant floor fans cooling them.

How about digging it in oil? :p
Cooling is not a problem with two 400mm fans.

in fact, some projects that you think die are not entirely true, because many projects continue to run even more advanced but they do not care about the price of their coins in the market so that their coins are dead, but actually the project is still running
I think some projects are below our radar and they are kind of hibernating and preparing for the bull run. I think that projects with dead coins will be dead too. Project doesn’t exist without product.

As government, which have tried the foolish policy since ancient times and publicized their so-called values. If the government department says it, just listen and don't take it seriously. Risks and interests always coexist, and you must take risks when you want to make a profit.

Governments just don't know how to use the crypto to their advantage, when they come around and learn how to use and abuse crypto, they won't oppose it.

This is absolutely correct because i see some projects now especially the one doing selfdrop when listed on exchanges they will hype and dump their token and investors will suffer. People must carefully research on the project before investing and only invest what you can afford to lose.
I absolutely agree. There is no other way to invest wisely but to carefully research the project before investing and invest only what we can afford to lose.

I dont think so. I think ICO investor now is smart than before. they choose project to invest carefully and have knowledge to stay away scam ICO
I think they are smart and that's why there is fewer of them. Because they invest carefully and it is impossible to choose many good projects among scams.

Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum?
by
EfterlysT
on 24/09/2018, 19:48:30 UTC
i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys

Well it is not a bad idea either. Since ethereum price right now is quite low which is a good way to start up and buy more so that you can gain alot if the price will come back.
I wouldn't sell all of them. The prices are low, so I would but ETH but not sell all of my BTC, because both of the coins will rise in price, and it would be a shame to lose profit by selling BTC beforehand.

I keep in my briefcase
Ethereum
ICON
Zilliqa
Quarkchain
IOTEX
NEO
WAVES

All projects are fundamentally strong. I think for a couple of years it's worth keeping them away.
I agree. I think holding for a couple more years will show which coin is the strongest and has most potential of making us rich. I also hold Ethereum and I believe it will have the most potential in future.

Even though many potential altcoins are coming out in the market who that wants to replace bitcoin, but no one else can replace to the king of all crypto coins, because Bitcoin is the most famous and the pioneer of all coins.
I think they can always try and they will be trying. Of course not many coins can actually achieve it, but I think with time some intrigue can be introduced by having more strong coins around.

Many bounty hunters get the token but they did not understand the project and they do not hold the tokens but they will sell them to hold other crypto that them trust as BTC or ETH.....etc
But I am with your advise because the success of ICO project that mean we earn good income from it.
I would also advice to bounty hunters to sell at least a part of good tokens and leave some to hold. Bounty hunters sell a lot of tokens and then prices fall.

Too late to panic i think, after this kind 10x drops of price from initial investment nothing more then hodling i see
Yes, we practically are left with no choice. I don't think we will see lambos and cocaine but we can still make some profit if one day we have the opportunity to sell whatever it is we are holding if it still has value.

Re: EOS or Tron
by
EfterlysT
on 19/09/2018, 13:13:55 UTC
If I were an investor of them did not choose anything because they do not interest me very much. Although if I still took a tron because I think it will not give bad profit in the future. And to eos I'm very cold so developers have too complicated the life of ordinary users, even installing a wallet is not an easy thing. If they in the future will make their blockchain easier my attitude will change.
I would choose more EOS than TRX for my portfolio. But that's just hypothetical. I think both coins have disadvantages compared to other altcoins.
