The Einsteinium News (TEN) is a good news cryptocurrency publication written by the people the stories are about, sometimes some of our authors want other people to help them edit, proofread, or arrange their thoughts.  I would suggest you place a listing for your services on our Shopping page, this way when someone has such a need we could make the connection.

TEN just had it's soft launch a few weeks ago so we are still aggressively building the site.

Can you toss me a link about it? I'd love to write about my own services Wink

Yes, much of the "hype" is over,  BTC has a true value of about $500 however the massive insecurity of the industry is the main factor depressing the value.

As security increases so too with the value of BTC.   At which point "hype" will find new footing.

Could we convince the Pope of using the hash of a block as a random generator for his raffle draw?

That would be awesome!  Grin Grin Grin

Zeitcoin Rising From The Depths Of Destruction [Press Room News For Alt Coins]
by
Einsteinium News
on 20/11/2014, 22:59:36 UTC

In this uncertain world of cryptocurrency stands a strong community -- the Zeitcoin community, who has fought back from the depths of destruction.

Although the idea of associating Zeitcoin with the Zeitgeist movement has mostly fallen to the wayside (due in no small part to TZM’s inherent distrust of any financial system, including cryptocurrency), the Zeitcoin community is still holding on to many of the basic tenants of TZM. Chief among those is our desire to make this coin readily available and fairly distributable to the masses.

With Bitcoins 21 million coin total supply, the king of cryptocurrency will never be readily available and equitably distributable to the masses. Already there are a select few bagholders who posses the bulk of the current supply (sounds awfully familiar, doesn’t it?) and associated wealth. Zeitcoin will have a 90 billion coin total supply, making it much more fairly distributable, and with it’s current low price, easily obtained.

Another advantage that Zeitcoin has is the fact that it is fully POS (Proof-of-Stake) at this time. Not only is this much more environmentally-friendly, but with an impressive 25% annual stake in the first year, it is a great long-term investment coin. ...   [continued at www.einsteinium.biz]

Re: Think with us on the future of digital currency. BTC and Magi work together

Good, I too see where multiple coins should cooperate and find ways to be strategic partners.

However, I notice that whenever one coin perceived another coin as 'weaker', 'lesser', or otherwise beneath then other cooperation simply doesn't happen.

As everyone steps all over one another trying to partner with BTC, btc partners with no one.

My advice is to find coin communities that share or compliment your vision and drive then join forces in strategic ways.

Re: What makes a currency meaningful?
by
Einsteinium News
on 20/11/2014, 21:27:45 UTC
The cryptocoin world has a serious philosophical question it needs to address and that is the subject above. We have seen throughout history that inequitable distributions of wealth or power always results in oppression of some form or another. This is a natural consequence of the territorial nature in the human species so if we plan to fix anything with cryptocoin, we should not leave out the opportunity to discourage the aspect of human nature which is at the root of all the harm in the first place. If we don't, we just exchange one evil for another. How so? Let's assume bitcoin begins to be accepted as a store of value but its distribution and access is poor. Without it being in the hands of the vast majority, that value will either become irrelevant over time or another source of domination. It will fail to achieve its main purpose of a fluid currency with either scenario. Sadly, this argument applies to just about all the cryptocurrencies so what is a better solution? I don't have an answer but because I've pondered this issue longer than most, I know the direction we need to take and that is why I am introducing this thread with the hope that the more thoughtful and altruistic among you will participate. We need a coin that has disincentives for dominant mass accumulation and we need a coin that is accessible to all. These both can be achieved in many ways and this thread is designed to put these suggestions forward for discussion.

I know of one coin [I won't mention the name] that is extremely 'altruistic', accessible to all, and has an extremely low buy-in price (3sat).

The coin supply is unlimited, anytime you do something good you get an arbitrary amount of coin.  In the absence of actual, or at least perceived scarcity the true value will plummet.
