Re: decentralized blackjack&poker
by

im developer and i have a idea to make a decentralized poker and black jack (as start) game/casino

game will be 100% decentralized

the only problem is :

will it get audience ? is worth to put time into this ?

how to advertise ? if i do all project myself , how much money do i needed to advertise and make it successful ?

you are going about this backwards, did you write a single line of code yet, or is all still just a concept?
did you think how you would be making money off this? because if its 100% decentralized i don't think you can make any money out of it unless you make your own coin for it or something like that

for advertizing, you can buy ads on gambling website, coin explorers, sponsored articles and youtube videos on poker channels, give incentives to players for referring their friends, etc...
you will need as much money as you can afford to burn, advertizing is not cheap in the gambling space

CONCEPT + did some tests,

i can start with 2 games , make my own token , will be opensource

still i guess alot of work for one person

I don't think you can get an audience instantly by promoting your decentralized gambling casino. If you're focusing only on these two games, then you can maybe get some players.

About advertisement, I don't know how much you need to spend to promote your casino. Why not try to ask some campaign managers who are offering promotions?
You can usually find them in the Services section.

so best place to run ads in this foro ?

running with gpu (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti):

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python3.10/threading.py", line 1016, in _bootstrap_inner self.run()
-snip-
BlockingIOError: [Errno 11] Resource temporarily unavailable
Now, this doesn't look like an issue with your GPU but could be a bug or compatibility issue with your system.

You must report this to their official GitHub repository (make sure that it's the version of BTCRecover that you're using)
Link (post a "new issue"): https://github.com/3rdIteration/btcrecover/issues
The owner is very active on replying to legitimate issues posted there.

And as noted, include the necessary information specially your Ubuntu version (PC or a VPS, same as the PM?) and the mentioned GPU.
Less information will just result with guesswork replies.

Agreed. It's an odd error. Are you using a VPS by any chance? Or other virtualized environments?

Re: Is It Possible to "Reserve" a Private Key?
by
ElectrumHelpMe
on 06/10/2024, 08:33:48 UTC
I appreciate the responses and I understand the importance of keeping a private key secure and secret. However, I think my question may not have been fully clear.

To clarify my question: Is there a way to maintain ownership of a private key even when you intend to reveal it to someone else?

For example, let’s say my private key is 0101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101, and I choose to disclose this key to someone else. Given that I'm willingly revealing the private key, is there a method or technique that would allow me to maintain control or ownership over that key and any future funds associated with it? Or is it simply impossible to preserve ownership?

private key is like your naked pictures...
once someone saw them ... there is no way to unsee them...

so once someone has the key , there is nothing you can do about...
you both have the key, is same key, wont change, the key do same thing , same porpoise , he/you cant do more.

Have you tried using FinderOuter which is easier to use because it has a graphical interface to help you?
Don't know why OP is so secretive on some basic information since he had been sending me PMs instead of posting those here
And what I can tell is: apparently, what he aims for is GPU support.

He can use BTCRecover's Seedrecover without --enable-opencl (GPU) just fine and the suggested token file
is already optimized to minimize the possible number of combinations but it's not as simple as 3missing words. (refer to his other topic).

Current version of FinderOuter doesn't have GPU support so using it wouldn't be any better, plus its "limit search space" feature is limited compared to BTCRecover's token file.

You already created two threads prior to this one.

1.Seed Recovery
2.btcrecover electrum change address

I suggest you to lock this and continue the discussion in one thread only for better understanding and continuation of the subject.

i tried m/1/0 but seems not working
What's your seed type?
standard (p2pkh), SegWit or other types?

For the first two:
  • Standard should have --bip32-path m/1

Sample command and result (standard seed, change address index 0):
    Code:
    $ py seedrecover.py --tokenlist 1test.txt --mnemonic-length 12 --language en --addrs 164ZevaKdd3SjasnyzyLXHoSBfRMoD1Zj5 --addr-limit 1 --bip32-path m/1 --dsw

    Starting seedrecover 1.9.0-CryptoGuide, btcrecover 1.9.0-Cryptoguide on Python 3.12.5 64-bit, 21-bit unicodes, 64-bit ints
    Using the 'en' wordlist.
2024-09-26 12:36:45 : Phase 1/1: up to 12 mistakes, 12 of which can be an entirely different seed word.
    2024-09-26 12:36:45 : Using 12 worker threads
2024-09-26 12:36:48 : ***MATCHING SEED FOUND***, Matched on Address at derivation path: m/1/0

  • SegWit should have --bip32-path "m/0'/1"

Sample command and result (SegWit seed, change address index 0):
    Code:
    $ py seedrecover.py --tokenlist 1test2.txt --mnemonic-length 12 --language en --addrs bc1qlv0u6zwm7n66e75flllnep23mf3stdzl3dvwxp --addr-limit 1 --bip32-path "m/0'/1" --dsw

    Starting seedrecover 1.9.0-CryptoGuide, btcrecover 1.9.0-Cryptoguide on Python 3.12.5 64-bit, 21-bit unicodes, 64-bit ints
    Using the 'en' wordlist.
2024-09-26 12:43:21 : Phase 1/1: up to 12 mistakes, 12 of which can be an entirely different seed word.
    2024-09-26 12:43:22 : Using 12 worker threads
2024-09-26 12:43:24 : ***MATCHING SEED FOUND***, Matched on Address at derivation path: m/0'/1/0

For other seed types like MultiSig and "2fa", it's basically the same but you need your "master public key" instead of the MultiSig address, and the correct path.
thanks <3

what is the arguments for btcrecover if i have only a change address
i want to recover seed but to check against change address
i tried m/1/0 but seems not working

It's impossible to recover a seed from an any address.  It doesn't matter if if's a change address or a standard derivation.  Not even if you have the private key will you be able to decipher the seed.

sorry for my english (greek is my language)

i am recovering mnemonic lost words

all i need is right deviration path

what is btcrecover command that should fit my task?

There's a easier one Instead of using BTCrecover tool, you can try using FinderOuter you can download it from this link below

About the instruction check this thread below

I don't know how many days it would take to recover the 3 missing words, but it should take within a day depending on your PC specs.

this is not for : known words/unknown position of word
