Re: Is taxation theft?
by

If the taxes applied are considered irrational and excessive, in my opinion it constitutes theft, more precisely legal theft. However, even though sometimes we feel burdened by these taxes, we still cannot refuse not to pay taxes. Because taxes are coercive.

Taxes do have an important role in increasing the income of a region or country, which will later be used for the construction of public facilities. However, it is very unfortunate that if the tax results are applied to every sector, the benefits of the tax itself are still not felt by society at large. So it is quite natural that some of them feel unwilling to pay taxes. Not to mention the addition of corruption cases that often occur in the government realm, which can make someone even more lazy and reluctant to pay taxes. But once again, we cannot refuse to pay taxes, because otherwise we might be subject to fines or be entangled by the applicable regulations.
It is common that there are always discussions and tensions between the necessity of taxes and the frustration with how they are sometimes used. Taxes would be felt like legalized theft if those are prevailed with Irrational or excessive obligations. Taxes are supposed to fund public services that benefit the populace of the country. There are common concern about the benefits of taxes when those aren't felt or when corruption diverts funds. Commonly people desire to avoid burdens, and taxes can certainly feel like a burden, this is why resentment is fueled when there are potential corruptions. It's impossible to refuse taxes entirely, but people can advocate for tax reform to increase transparency in government spending.

Re: "Global wealth preservation"

In what ways do the historical narratives and cultural perceptions surrounding gold as a traditional store of value intersect with the emerging narrative and evolving cultural perception of Bitcoin as a digital store of value, and how might these intersections shape the future landscape of global wealth preservation?

Thank you for sharing your insights and perspectives!
Gold has been a precious stone right from time memorial and it keeps increasing in value, Whereas bitcoin is a digital coin that also has value that appreciate with time, I feel the intersection can only come in terms of potential values they both share, but distinctively they stand separately because gold is a physical asset while bitcoin is a digital asset, Hypothetically they are both mined. Well, you can put it this way, since Gold has been an old method of saving value, bitcoin is now the new sheriff in town with a more innovative way to store your assets.

Gold and Bitcoin may converge in terms of their potential values as stores of wealth, but they stand apart due to their distinct characteristics and the innovative mechanisms through which they offer asset storage and value preservation. Bitcoin represents a novel approach to storing value in the digital age. Bitcoin's digital nature provides advantages in terms of portability, divisibility, and accessibility. Gold's physicality of offers tangible reassurance and historical precedent. The intersection between gold and Bitcoin lies in their shared role as alternative stores of value in an ever-changing financial landscape. Both assets offer different benefits and can be hedges against systemic risks and currency devaluation. Their unique properties and underlying technologies distinguish them as separate asset classes, each with its own strengths and considerations for investors.

Re: Ignore Financial accountability to your detriment

Financial accountability has big impacts on the ability to make the best use of earnings and investments. People need to allocate funds to different expenses such as bills, savings, investments, and discretionary spending, if they want to gain better control over their finances. Without a budget, it's easy to overspend or misallocate funds, leading to financial instability. Money needs to be tracked where it is being spent, this can identify areas for potential savings or areas where spending can be optimized.

Accountability needs people to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) financial goals. It builds disciplined spending habits, which means resisting the temptation of impulse purchases. There will also be unforeseen circumstances to be prepared by building an emergency fund. Flexibility and adaptability are essential components of financial accountability.

I don't think cashless world will come true, it will be more complicated, because it will need tools to apply in real world. but less cash is very possible. crypto is not meant to conquer other currencies, it is just meant to be easy and transparent transactions.  Wink

I don't think bitcoin price will rise high at current situation. EU regulations affect markets much. many markets turn to regulate KYC requirement nowadays. Even Japan is not as friendly as before to crypto-currencies ecosystem. I'm afraid this situation won't last soon enough.
