Correct. The lesson is this: Bad things happen, deal with it. The owners of the pool dealt with the bad situation in an honorable and more than fair way. People (some, at least) appreciate that.
However, you're more than welcome to learn any lesson you want, and stay out of the pool.

If you left your mined coins sitting in the pool for longer than the 7-day window (why on earth would you do that?) they've specified for reimbursement, then you most likely won't be getting it.

Your hard work on our behalf is VERY much appreciated, especially considering the time of year this all hit.

I don't presume to speak for anyone else, but I for one am HIGHLY impressed by the way you and Atriz have handled this fiasco.
I personally didn't lose anything to the hack, (since I always monitor my account and do daily payouts) but have to comment on your decision to reimburse miners for stolen coins.
As has been mentioned repeatedly by the cooler heads around here, there's nothing "normal" or "stable" about the world of cryptocurrencies, which honestly is one reason why we all love them so much!
To assume that a pool operator should be responsible for playing nanny to our coins just reiterates to me the current trend of people feeling entitled to special considerations for everything.
Bottom line: Be an adult, take responsibility for your own actions and accounts. Don't expect to be bailed out every time something bad happens to you.

I personally didn't lose anything, since I always (as has been suggested multiple times) remove my coins on a daily basis.
The Devs offering to reimburse lost coins is a HUGE goodwill gesture, and one that I hope everyone truly appreciates.

I did skim the past couple pages, and don't see anything that says whether the site is secured enough to resume mining, hence my question.

Like everyone else, I've been locked out of my account.
However, I didn't think to check here first, so I had already changed my BTC address back to mine, and reset my password.
That being said, is it ok for me to resume mining? If my account is secured, and just locked down until the devs work out the issues, then that's fine.
I hate to lose the profits during the shutdown, but I also don't want the hacker to get my coins if there's still a change that the site isn't secured yet.

I keep seeing GrandCoin (GDC) and GlobalCoin (GLC) going crazy.
For example, GLC is currently about $60 per DAY per 1 MH!
