The Mano team is extremely happy to be able to introduce Pecunia to our community 
 
After numerous discussions, the Mano team believe that Pecunia are most suited to take Mano forward. Pecunia are a well known masternode hosting provider with a great track record in the crypto space. While there are a multitude of reasons we believe Pecunia will offer the best chance of success for Mano, I'd like to highlight just a couple : -

- They have fantastic customer support.
- Pecunia already have a large install base and know how to grow a business.
- As Pecunia is a market leader in hosting services, Mano will be able to grow much faster than if we tried to do so independently.
- They are able to offer competitive hosting rates and a proven technical solution.
- Pecunia have a vision for Mano that may help to make more utility for the coin
- While hosting services will always be important for Pecunia, they have a team of developers that will be able to bring new services to fruition.
 
Pecunia is a large piece of the puzzle, but to succeed we need one more thing - you! Over the past couple of years we have had some incredible community support in all facets of the project. It's led to us being able to do things internally that I would never have expected to happen without funds. Things like an automated system for coin listings, a great block explorer, help with all different types of media, creation of our internal doc repository (and the list goes on). To help secure a positive future for Mano, we need to continue to draw on the talents of the community and get everyone more involved. We're going to be taking a few steps over the next weeks to start this off :-
 
- We will be making some role changes in Discord. Ben and I will shortly be transferred to the "contributors" role. Anyone can become a contributor if they are willing to commit time or skills to the project. Mods and Community Manager roles will be obsoleted and permissions needed will be added to the contributors role.
- We are going to get back online with all the social channels.
- We will start building the community based on user suggestions.
- Mano nodes will become free to host.

The above is a very broad run down and leaves out the specifics. The Pecunia team will be welcomed to our Discord channel next week to discuss their plans for the project and they will be able to provide more details. Relevant details from these discussions will be posted here on Bitcointalk. Ben and I will assist with the transition, and the community will become more invested in Mano’s success.

The TL;DR is that by having free hosting for Mano nodes, competitive pricing for hosting services, upcoming additional coin liquidity/use cases and a talented community supporting the project we have a real shot to make something great.

This is an important update, so please put some time aside to read it.

From the day we took over, we’ve done everything in our power to do what we believed was the best for the coin. Masternode hosting has been our main use case, and something that we believed we could do well and be competitive in. With the large number of masternode hosting companies/coins around now, that is no longer the case. We’ve also had a couple of challenges such as needing to cover someone spinning up a bunch of $0 nodes and not alerting us about the issue and the big elephant in the room - Coronavirus. We had been trying to put money aside for a rainy day to both keep everything going and build the project, but the current situation has backed us into a corner where we will be very close to having lost money after paying off the items that have helped us get back on our feet. Because of these challenges we’ve decided that Mano Host needs to come to a close. What this means is that those who have funds on the platform will receive an email in the coming fortnight and refunds will be provided in Eth (due to low transaction costs). For those who currently have nodes running, these will continue to run until their expiry date. While we would love to continue running Mano Host, the amount of hours worked for no reward means it doesn’t make sense.

What happens next is up to the community. We’ve done a lot of work over the past year which has involved substantial cost. We had the blockchain change, swap, an explorer server running 24x7, revision of our masternodesonline listing and a new wallet (among other things). The major outstanding item now is to get on another exchange. Whether that’s by implementing BIP65 functionality for Blocknet or paying for listing on a centralised exchange. BIP65 will need to be paid for, as unfortunately our dev has a backlog of work so we think it’s unrealistic (and to be honest, with the current world situation also a bit mean) to continue asking him to help us for free after he’s already done so much.

What we would like to do is hand everything over bar hosting to a person or group of people willing and capable of taking on the project, and having the community assist these people(s) through bidding for work via governance. This isn’t a one person job, and if anyone is up to the challenge they will need help from the wider community. Doing the Alqo coin spotlight was an eye opener as they were in a similar situation to us only a few months ago and have managed to completely turn it around. But, it’s taken a tonne of work from a lot of people. I believe we can do the same if everyone is willing to pitch in and help with the specific skills they have. I will also help where I can, but the time which I put into Mano is going to need to be substantially reduced.

At the moment we are only listed on Birake at https://trade.birake.com/market/BIRAKE.MANO_BIRAKE.BTC . There is no option to buy with USDT. We want to list on Blocknet but to do that until our blockchain has a change made to it (BIP65 functionality). Our blockchain dev is helping us out with that, but he's working on some other projects also so don't have a definite timeframe as to when that will happen. Yes, we've been working in the background and had a few false starts, but every false start is a learning opportunity and it's slowly coming together.

We still have a lot of work to do so as a suggestion perhaps it would be wise to wait for a couple of weeks to decide whether it's something you'd like to invest in once you see new content start to come out? Then at least you can make a more informed decision.

Mano Host is now available at https://mano.host/

Mano Host makes deploying and managing a masternode simple. There are instructions when creating a node, and videos posted in our YouTube (see https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP2qPl39L4HHi2wkHmk4twg). Since the community takeover of the Mano project at the start of this year, we have been working hard to deliver on our vision of making masternodes more accessible to users through the offering of simple and intuitive tools.

Host Overview

Mano Host is ready to host your masternodes! The platform will accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether and of course Mano. Pricing is $2.50 per node per month, or $2.00 when paid in Mano. On top of the 20% discount, 20% of any Mano recieved will also be burnt. Note that to accept Mano we are implementing a custom payment processor, which will be ready within two to three weeks, but we didn't want to delay launch any further, so right now you can pay in BTC/ETH/LTC and then in MANO come July.

We have made the decision to allow alternative payments as we feel that this will allow new users an easy onramp to the world of passive income through masternodes, and help grow our community. Announcements for currently hosted coins can be found in the #coin-announcements channel, and many new coins will be added over the coming days and weeks.

Next Steps

You're right. Part of the reason that news has been a little sparse is that we have effectively had to start from scratch. We were hoping to have the platform up by the start of this month, but with the coin swap, building out the new platform and general admin we've needed to do to start afresh (new whitepaper, YouTube videos, updated website, relisting on statistic platforms etc) it's taken some time.

As to where we are at - Ben is going to the DC over the next days to do a couple of items there, then we just need to do some final touches on the platform. Giving a time-frame is always hard considering we were aiming for end March / beginning of April, but in terms of work, as an estimation and taking into account any roadblocks that might arise, I'd expect no more then a couple of weeks, if that. I know it's been a wait, we are as keen to get it out there as anyone, as right now we are paying for a lot of items that aren't being utilised!

What OS are you using? Some people had issues with the Mac wallet, but I believe this was resolved. Can you PM me here or on discord so I can help further?

Also, If your wallet is showing in white instead of a dark colour you will need to change the theme.

Which would be a reasonable reason why you couldn't move or swap the coins prior to the deadline, and would mean we could give you 1:1. That is,except for any running nodes post deadline - those additional rewards would need to swapped at a lower rate to make it fair for all. Did you receive less? I can only see three people as of now who haven't received a 1:1 swap, and can't see your name on there? You can reach out to me on discord or telegram if you are having issues with the coins showing as pending, I haven't seen that issue before.

We advised sometime ago that there would be a swap coming, and then told everyone that we would be swapping via Cryptobridge, and they should send their coins there prior to this announcement. And, we've been VERY lenient with the swap, the vast majority of people have got 1:1 post the deadline we gave, unless it's clear they have been trying to game the system.

Please see below for additional information regarding the swap process.

Your coins need to be sent (and confirmed) to Cryptobridge (or the manual method) wallet before March 11 1000hrs UTC to be eligible for a 1:1 (1 old MANO for 1 new MANO).

We would like to have all users move off the oMANO chain as quickly as possible and start using the nMANO chain.

Ways to Swap.
The easiest and preferred way to swap coins is via our exchange Cryptobridge (CB). You simply send your oMANO coins to CB before March 11 and then the exchange converts your old MANO (oMANO) to new MANO (nMANO) on March 11 1000hrs. We will be releasing the nMANO wallet on March 12, and then you can withdraw your nMANO into your nMANO wallet.

Any coins sent to CB after March 11 1000hrs will not be eligible for swap on CB. These users will need to request a manual swap at a lower swap rate.

If you cannot use CB to swap your coins we are also offering a manual swap. For this you need to send your coins to the “Mano Collection wallet” also before March 11 1000hrs, to be eligible for a 1:1 swap. If you send after this time the following swap rates apply:

•    Before March 11 10000 hrs UTC - 1: 1
•    Between March 11 1000hrs and March 18 1000hrs UTC - 2:1
•    Between March 18 1000hrs and March 25 1000hrs UTC - 5:1
•    Between March 25 1000hrs and March 31 2359hrs UTC - 10:1
•    After March 31st 2359hrs - swap no longer possible

As the oMANO blockchain does not have regular blocks, we urge you to send your coins to CB, or complete the manual submission request as soon as possible.

Details on CB-Swap process
1.   Do a backup of your current oMANO wallet and save the file somewhere safe.
2.   Stop all MNs and combine all coins into 1 input
3.   Send all coins to CB as soon as possible
4.   After 100 confirmations the funds are confirmed on CB and your transaction is valid
5.   You can delete the oMANO wallet, including the roaming files (make sure your backup file is stored elsewhere)
6.   On March 14, we will share the link to the nMANO wallet. Download and install
7.   CB opens withdrawals of nMANO and you can send your nMANO to your nMANO wallet address

Details on the Manual-Swap process
Please note this is not the preferred method and should only be used by people that cannot use CB. We will be processing these requests manually and on a first in-first out process. The earliest you will get your nMANO coins swapped using this procedure is March 15 or 16, depending on Mano-team workload.
1.   DM @elmsy (user ID 374896981417656320) or @towaberg (user ID 413330312899330050) in Discord stating you would like to do a manual-swap ASAP. We will never send a PM first. Alternatively, you can email swap@manocoin.net
2.   We will share with you details the work process and how you can send your oMANO coins before March 11th.

Timeline
March 1st:                        CB locked withdrawals of oMANO.
Now until March 11:          All users send their oMANO to CB to be swapped
March 11 1000hrs UTC:      All MANO on CB will be exchanged to nMANO coins on the new blockchain. Deposits/withdrawal of new MANO is enabled again.
March 12:               New MANO wallets are released, you can withdraw your nMANO from CB to personal wallets.
Manual swappers share with team their nMANO address and get their nMANO once their submission is processed (up to 2 weeks).

FAQ: The current o-MANO blockchain sometimes takes hours for a block - Will my coins get to CB in time? We are aware of this issue and thus urge all users to send all their MANO to CB as soon as possible.

FAQ: What happens to the old blockchain? We will continue to support the old MANO wallets for the purposes of the swap until March 31st. All support for the old blockchain and all its components will cease after March 31st.  

Although we will push this too all communication platforms, please also inform your friends who hold MANO to send their coins to CB with they want their coins swapped.

With the release of the n-MANO wallets and a move away from the old blockchain, we begin a new chapter.
