Nice to see one coin without premine, without ICO model, and with some inovation.

I have few questions if you have time to answer them:

1. Is Minato coin only going to be Proof-of-Work (PoW) or some hybrid PoS/MN ?
2. What algorithms will Minato have in X18, and what advantages ?
3. How much developers are in Minato team

Thanks in advance!

· Currently pow
· We will publish the complete list in the coming days
· 4 developers

When you say `Currently pow` does that mean you have plans to implement PoS or MN's ?  ... please say no.

Although most calculators will be inaccurate, I recommend you check out http://shittomine.com for better results than normal.  The dev has put in a lot of work to try and make it more accurate than most with his diff tracking, etc.

That definitely cleared up my questions. I've never seen Proof of Growth before, is this something Merit made up?

Yes, Proof of Growth is unique to Merit, from the website FAQ, here is a bit more explanation:
----
How do Growth Rewards Work?

Merit has a lottery system for rewarding people for growing and using the network.

A score is calculated per address by using the coin age of your address and your network’s. Coins that are 30 days old are fully mature and coins that are 7 days old are 50% mature. Your score increases as you acquire more Merit, grow your network, or both.

When you receive Merit, you are entered into the lottery pool if your score is high enough multiplied by some random weight. The lottery pool has a maximum of ten thousand spots.

Twenty winners are selected each block from the lottery pool at random where the chance of winning depends on your score. The winners get a share proportional to their score.

Your score determines the probability of winning.

The root address in the genesis block does not receive Growth Rewards.

An address can be booted out of the lottery pool if an address not in the pool gets a better score x random weight.

----

How, precisely, do I get credit for inviting someone?

When you share your invite code with friends (which is your alias), they can use it to create a pending wallet.

You will receive an invite request from all users that use your invite code (alias) to create a wallet.

You can choose to send invite tokens (aka, invites) to whoever you want to. You have your own personal wait list for Merit. You can send them as you receive them.

You can send an invite token to someone who has NOT used your invite code.

The invite code used determines the person who gets the credit for growing the community, irrespective of who sent the invite token.

Are you just another user and not affiliated with the team? It seems like the users on this project are super engaged for some reason.

Is there some sort of rewards you're working for by being so engaged with the questions here? Or are you just genuinely that interested in it's welfare?

That's the joy of this community.  There are many of us that are very engaged and do hold a true belief in the project and wish it all the success we can.  The team has been very supportive in the Discord channel for as long as I have been a member and actually responds to direct questions and PM's when you have one.  I've seen so many projects that they Devs are just in the channel but never truly 'available'.  The first week I joined and started mining, Adil held a video chat for over an hour or two and engaged with anyone that was willing to ask a question or wanted a response about a certain feature, etc.

I'm concerned about exchange listings here.  With the amount of software and the caliber of the team, I would have expected it to be listed on a higher-end exchange -- maybe something like Binance or HitBTC?

During one of the live video chat's with Adil he mentioned that their focus was going to be on ensuring that the Merit Market was fully operational before pursuing any exchange listings, not because of the technical aspect of the listing, but in a coin's early stages, it causes the team or in this case, the Merit Foundation to pay absurd prices for such a listing and generally new coins end up on third-rate exchanges.  However, with the expanding user base and use of the Merit Market, volume baselines and interest can be established and it will allow them to skip the lower end exchanges and actually be pursued by the higher end exchanges and usually when this happens, the exchanges reach out to the team and waive the listing fee, so in the long run, I believe in this strategy.

Had a look through the whitepaper and have to say it looks great. It explained a few things around masternodes as well.

Just to clarify, this project has no Masternodes.

This is a pretty impressive project, from what I can tell.  Is that star-chart visualization of the network based on actual data, or is it some kind of estimate, vague approximation, or projection?

Hey guys -- no one answered my question Sad

That visualization is really impressive, but I would like to know where it came from and if it is backed by real data.

its real data based on merit blockchain.

It can be viewed at https://dashboard.merit.me and you can select 'Full Network' from the dropdown.

When you say "An unlocked wallet has valid keys, but no one can send MRT to it, you cannot receive MRT to it, and you cannot receive invite tokens to it either.", do you mean a "LOCKED" wallet?

If you cannot send to an unlocked wallet, then who can you send to?

When you download the wallet or create a wallet on the web, it generates a valid address, but that address is not 'beaconed' so you cannot receive Merit (MRT), and since the balance is 0, you cannot send any either.  You need to first receive an invite token (INV) and it will beacon and unlock the wallet, at which point you can receive funds and send as you wish.

^web site works, at least for me...

I installed 396.24 drivers, works smooth, but lost manual fan control. No matter what I do, it works only on auto mod, and my cards become hot.
Also autofan.conf options not working, nvidia x server settings also can't run...

Any solution for this problem?

Run this:

Code:
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install nvidia-settings -y
nvidia-xconfig --allow-empty-initial-configuration --enable-all-gpus --cool-bits=28 --separate-x-screens

Regarding Linux- I asked for help bit got none  Cry, If you know how to edit the compile options so the binary could be shared and work on multiple systems- I will be happy to try and recompile, the Default build scripts on ccminer only works on the compiler PC, so I need help to modify them so you could also run it, Thanks in Advance!.

Please check the build.sh script or modify your ./configure flags to remove '-march=native' and it should compile a universal binary.
