What is the best exchange to use for trading Bitcore now that Cryptopia is down? Are there any reputable and high volume exchanges we can use?

I don't know exactly how many coins are left for airdrops. But agree with earlier post to keep it by 3% a week for the longrun and community can grow steady equal with price value. And most importend the hole ecosystem around BTX.

I agree with this poster. Please keep the airdrop at 3% weekly until fully distributed. I like this model for 3 reasons:
  • it incentivizes holding bitcore rather than other coins
  • it's simple
  • it's working, as we can see from the steadily increasing value of bitcore over the last few months

My wallet won't synch, 0 active connections. Any suggetions?

Have you tried turning off your firewall temporarily? It may be blocking port 8555 which bitcore uses.

Hey, I am a fan of this project. Just wanted to let you know that your block explorer seems to be down (http://explorer.bitcore.cc). Also, is there a reddit page for bitcore?

Hi Bitfinex, just read your entire forum thread. This took a long time (particularly the discussions about FRR!). Just wanted to say well done on running such a professional exchange, which has transitioned from a small project to become the largest BTC/USD exchange in the world. I have only been using your site for a short time, but so far I am very impressed. I do have a feature request for you.

Feature request: - optional increased security on withdrawals. When withdrawing I want to be asked for a google auth code AND an sms code AND email confirmation AND a secondary password used only for withdrawals. Some other exchanges already do this, including your main Chinese competitor. This feature will reduce account hackings and increase people's trust in your exchange. I recommend making the increased security features optional, so that people who are happy with the current security measures can continue unaffected.

Excellent post. For those wondering, the exchanges mentioned by OP that experienced flash crashes were Bitfinex (August 14), Btc-e (August 18) and Huobi (March 21).

Bitcoin as a technology is protected by its strong network effect and the collective faith of everyone involved in this industry. To be replaced would require a vastly better technology to be developed, with features Bitcoin was unable to replicate. This may happen one day but probably not for a long time.

Within 1 month litecoin will be traded at the world's top bitcoin exchange
by
Endgame

Here is a list of the leading bitcoin exchanges in the world by volume (source: http://btckan.com/price):
1. BTCChina - 75832.63 btc 24H volume.
2. Okcoin - 55016.86 btc 24H volume.
3. HuoBi - 42069.31 btc 24H volume.
4. BTC100 - 30284.05 btc 24H volume.
5. BTC-E - 29210.28 btc 24H volume.

As you can see, Okcoin which allows both bitcoin and litecoin trading is currently the number 2 bitcoin exchange in the world by volume, behind BTCChina which allows only bitcoin trading. Okcoin is already the leading litecoin exchange in the world by volume (source: https://www.okcoin.com), having recently overtaken BTC-E. I predict within 1 month, Okcoin will also overtake BTCChina and become the leading bitcoin exchange in the world. Investors want to be able to trade BOTH major coins. Exchanges which allow the trading of only bitcoin will gradually be replaced by those that support both. This is simple natural selection at work.

If you're willing to provide ID to the exchange, my recommendation is go with bitstamp. They have never been hacked, have high volume, and generally good support.

If they do start charging fees, they may lose the top spot to Okcoin, who is already nipping at their heels: http://btckan.com/price

Making people sitting up from sleep in the night from time to time, worrying that their wallets protection systems are not meticulous enough, no more the blissful "peace of mind" they had when they used to put their money in the custody of good old trustworthy bankers.

This issue will be solved in time when banks start offering insured bitcoin savings accounts. That way, people who are worried by the prospect of having to secure their own assets can offload this responsibility to the bank. Others will secure their bitcoins themselves as they have always done.

Final fantasy 10

Are current emulators good enough to run this on a PC already? (I have only owned a NES, Sega Megadrive and PSX Tongue)

My favorite game ever is The Legend of Zelda on the NES. I need to replay that game again, it's so awesome.

Just had a look and it seems ps2 emulators are not quite capable of running it yet. You can emulate ff 1-9 though.

The price is the result of supply&demand equilibrium, and not result of electricity wasted.

Cost of production is a major influence on supply and demand. Most miner's aren't going to sell at a loss, which creates a price floor.

That price is for sending a person. It's much cheaper if you send a robot with flag planting arm.
