Sorry to deviate away from the topic, but what are you guys trying to achieve with GreenToken? Based upon "there is no big difference whether ICO will collect $ 100 thousand or $ 10 million", this sounds like a scam if I ever saw one.

If Bitcoin can break $7000 and the SEC release some more positive (or even neutral) take on crypto, then I can definitely see some growth. Just my two cents

It's up to each person what they do with their own investments, but if you have invested an amount which you can afford to lose (Not saying the market is doomed, but this is still the world of investment and one must be prepared for the possibility of a loss), then it really doesn't make any sense to panic sell at such a considerable loss. If you have invested far more than you can afford to lose, then I can see the other side of the argument.

But for most people, I say HODL and see how things turn out . Just my two cents

The ones which have spent all their money on marketing rather than on their tech will die out, and the the only ones which will prevail are those which have solid tech and real world applicability, combined with partnerships which will allow them to operate under the regulatory frameworks implemented by governments.

In essence, most altcoins are not planning for the future, so will probably not survive.

If you mean these type of Altcoins, then yes there is a possibility for survival and adoption, for sure.

But in terms of the altcoins (s**tcoins) which have spent most of their money on marketing to get a quick spike in price but little on their tech, when regulation kicks in you can be sure that their chances of survival are very slim.

When will people learn that lots of marketing around a crypto project doesn't always mean it is a good project?

When regulation kicks in, and it most probably will, people will understand why long term priorities are so important.

The only projects which will survive in the future are those with great technology with real world applicability, those who have adhered to regulation and those who have developed legitimate partnerships.


All of these projects which spent all of their money on marketing and little on their tech, well you can say goodbye to them in the not so distant future

This is the sad downside of airdrops.

Yes they do bring in a large amount of people, but in terms of sustainability and retention, the odds are many of these people will simply come for the free tokens and leave soon after, only to dump the coin the moment they see a small increase in price.

Depends on your position within this industry, how much you have invested and the lens you are using to view crypto/blockchain.

If you own or work for a crypto project, then of course the current market is uncomfortable, yet being scared is not justified in my opinion as the market has experienced similar downturns in the past, so my advice to everyone is to stay put and to see how things pan out.

If you have invested a substantial amount, then I can understand why some people are scared owing to their portfolios being in a sad state, but that is another topic in itself - why investing more than you can afford to lose is problematic.

Last but not least, viewing the market with a long term lens can be the difference between being scared or calm and composed.

This is wise, however I'd also recommend looking at the 'industry' a project is looking to break into, and whether there is a need or opportunity for a project to get corporate/governmental backing.

I say it all the time, but it is the projects which will be able to transition into the mainstream and work with corporates and governments that will survive when all is said and done

You have actually indirectly raised a very important question - which alts shall survive?

Bitcoin aside, the only alts which shall survive are those who are adhering to current regulatory guidelines and preparing for future ones, and those who are positioning themselves with legitimate corporate backers and governments.

I'd argue that most will not be able to fulfil this, so only a minority will survive post regulatory announcements.

Thankfully EnergiToken is positioning itself nicely in this regard, so we shall see what happens .

Until regulation kicks in (which quite honestly will be a good thing for tangible projects with real world applicability), people will simply keep on waiting for pumps and then doing dumps.

As the world is grappling with the problem of ever-growing energy demands, governments are struggling to find solutions to the problem of increasing carbon footprints and out-of-control pollution. Yet rather than experimenting with new innovative solutions, it appears that governments around the world have been content to opt for more punitive measures.

Punishment versus reward

When confronted with this issue, the usual approach is to punish consumers and to discourage waste through taxation and levies, or to regulate systems through a central controlling agency that enforces rules in an attempt — often futile — to reduce waste. While this approach may, when effective, successfully dissuade wasteful behaviour to some extent, it does not encourage positive behaviour.

EnergiToken (ETK) seeks to change this.

By rewarding energy consumers who conserve energy through their choices, Energi Token takes advantage of the profit-motive to change behaviour in a positive way. Instead of controlling energy consumption and punishing wasteful behaviour, Energi Token creates a free market, decentralised method of altering behaviour through economic incentives.

How exactly would this work?

Decentralising energy trading

EnergiTokens will be issued to consumers and businesses as a reward for reducing energy consumption; tokens which will have monetary value and be tradeable on the free market and between other energy consumers. Additionally, consumers who generate energy will be able to sell their surplus energy (in the form of ETK) directly to other consumers who would then purchase energy via EnergiTokens, rather than purchasing through a third-party energy provider. Thus in effect, this peer-to-peer framework will decentralise the trading of energy and incentivises both conservation and renewable energy production at the consumer level.

What’s more, because the token has financial value and can be sold on the free market or exchange, it creates a ‘profit’ motivation for consumers to conserve energy. So rather than punishing consumers or attempting to teach “good behaviour”, people are naturally enticed to save energy due to the financial reward. It’s a wholly different and unique approach to the problem of excessive energy consumption.

Disrupting the global energy market

EnergiToken will disrupt the global energy market. The current model is complacent due to a lack of competition and monolithic energy corporations which seek to maximize profit. They are intrinsically motivated to sell as much energy as possible, rather than conserve it. EnergiToken will alternatively harness the profit-motive to change wasteful behaviour, resulting in less pollution. Instead of an expensive bureaucratic system enforcing punitive taxes and levies, the free market and decentralised trade will transform the world’s energy markets.

It may sound cliché, but this really is JUST the beginning for EnergiToken.

Not only will the token be rewarded for wise power consumption and renewable energy production in homes and businesses, it will be used to reward all kinds of energy-efficient behaviour. Urban agencies can reward low-carbon transport commuters with ETK to reduce automotive congestion and pollution. Consumers could also be rewarded with ETK simply by purchasing energy-efficient appliances. The possibilities are simply endless!

Projects which:

Suffice to say, a large amount of projects out there are simply about raising exorbitant amounts, and spending most of their investment on marketing so that their investors can take part in a pump and dump.

No future for these kind of projects (which I would argue are the majority) whatsoever.
