are you cracking these wallets or selling them?
Not selling them no, been giving them away to people for free. Once I have sorted the ones I think could be good I will run some wordlists, then add rules and masks if the straight attack does not work. I would not bother with increments though as it would take months, years & then 1000's of years once you start going up from 7 chars with the ?a charset.
We could join forces for cracking some of these small wallets , also found some wallets that are promising and will be running hashcat on them, got total of 18 GPUs for this task
Yeah once I have finished going through them I will start to run a few. I did have 24 gpu's but only got the 12 now as I sold the other half to top up my crypto portfolio a few months back. I am interested in possibly having trust worthy members in using a server and use -z mode. Could speed things up. But bare in mind even the ones we have checked could still be edited wallets.
We could use Hastopolis to join trust members on major wallets if they are legit, i got one build that could run as an server (Threadripper 3970X , 128GB of DDR4 and 2x 3090) currently on windows but if there will be interest i can set ap a Ubuntu server. will be upgrading my 12x1070 rig to 3090 as these will be avalible again

I am not sure what you mean by strangely? elaborate please. that one is in the pack I sent you too. This 1.08 one is not recurring in other wallets or like the other 1.08 that is edited, this one could be legit. You will need to load in core wallet and check timestamps of transactions against the blockchain to see if it match. Next challenge would be to try and crack it.
Apparently the Info for that is "The password consists of digits, symbols, and Latin letters. From English speaking darknet forum." which is more than likely bollocks and it could also be any darknet forum with anything that could be on the keyboard.

That is meant to be the one with 159 BTC correct? if so it does not conflict with any of the other wallets when hashed, next step for you to check is to load it in Bitcoin Core and check all the time stamps against the Blockchain (Sometimes they are not correct which is a red flag). Even then it is not guaranteed until you find the password and see if you can send it out.
Only 4 things you can do to know for sure.
A: Check against all known public wallet.dat's by converting them in Hashcat & if there are duplicated codes at the end of the hash then it is more then likely dodgy, or ask the guy from allprivatekeys to check against his as I am sure his are legit.
B: Load into Bitcoin Core and see if it even loads up & syncs.
C: Then check all time stamps against the address of all ongoing transactions and see if they all match correctly.
D: Actually cracking it and being able to send out the [Suspicious link removed]d luck.

i have wallets 0.0178, 0.03, 1.08, 2.2, 5.5, 8.5, 15, 22.65, 57, 131, 159, 340 and 10,000 if anybody wants to exchange for one i don't have, these are bitcoin core dat files and all sync and show a then balance, will swap for any other real dat or aes.json files
This wallets you have mentioned can be easily found on forums, and all of those specific are fake wallets created by chinese website by editing .dat files with fake hashes and fake private passwords for specific addresses with balance imported to those wallet.dat files. So its useless to waste time on them, if you need i can give those files free to anyone without need to exchange if you really want to waste your important time like i did.

And the password being 8 chars is simply a fake.

Mate, there is no guarantee the passwords of those wallets are 8 characters long.
I'll save you time on this: Mainly all infos about the passwords are fake.
I completely agree with you that the password that I use consists of 10 characters and everyone I know has passwords of at least 10 - 12 characters

i have 10 wallets with password hints running on my GPU Rig.. and all hints are wrong!
btw.. 12 wallets i have are realy bad fakes, Core client crashes or Hash cain't be extracted....
One Wallet i Cracked.. it was 11 long, but guess what... it was Fake too, shows 2 BTC but all send attempts failed. exporting the secret leads to a empty adress.
Don't buy it!

It's a shame to hear that your work was not rewarded, but here's a 2 btc wallet (which I posted above) does not have outgoing transactions, which excludes the possibility of forgery and all information from it is easily verified
