There are so many predictions on this forum about getting rich and coins going to the moon, so I guess there is a chance that at least one of those predictions will be right.
It all depends on how much efforts and hard work you put in which will decide if you will be able to earn some good amount of money because of the crypto currencies or not. If you are having this much of the skillset and that you believe that you can do better, then you will surely be able to make some good earning and that this will turn out to be the best possible ways of making money.
I agree. We should research hard and find the coin with most potential.
You will be "rich", potential coins 2018 for now it is very difficult to choose a potential coin, but I will always trying to get it, although it is currently not visible, at least though I have to wrestle with fatigue, but I'm sure it must be this year 2018 I will get a very potential coin.
I think it is quite easy to buy some Bitcoin Cash. It is an altcoin at the moment. But it might be the main stream coin later.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
There have been a lot of other alt currencies, but don't seem to have what Bitcoin does. I think down the road potentially, but as of now the focus seems to be on how to make Bitcoin better, safer and more accessible. We're pretty bullish on it.
Most altcoins will be worthless in the next few years.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
I doubt that , however there might be a currency that will do very well more than bitcoin , e.g in fiat world where you have different currencies doing very well
It is quite possible to be replaced by another coin if that coin has a more active community to support it.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
may be in future but in my opinion it is vety hard to say that any new online digital currency may overcome the bitcoin but still there are many problems because who will invest much amount of money in new coin or online currency . and how does people will trust at such type of new currency .
yes i am also not agree with statement that bitcoin can be replace by any other crypto currency, as bitcoin is one of the most reliable and trusted crypto currency and is becoming more and more popular from time to time.
Bitcoin have a good strenght in the market so I do not think that bitcoin can be replaced by another crypto currency. Although etherium is rise the popularity but I do not think that etherium can replace bitcoin becouse people thrust of bitcoin is higher than etherium.
Bitcoin is getting a huge shield around it, several and important projects are being made to protect and improve bitcoin, augur, zcash and openbazar, and with those projects looks like bitcoin wont be replaced so soon for any other altcoin.
If there is no further progress with the block size increase to accommodate more onchain transactioin, it will be abandoned.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
I see very very less chance of it happening. Because bitcoin is the pioneer in crypto currency world. The market cap is already huge which shows the interest of the people in bitcoin. So it is hard to replace bitcoin.
But on the other hand I won't say that it is impossible. You may have some other crypto currency which may grow up to bitcoin's level in future but probably that currency won't have the power to replace it. It is just that people will start enjoying the fruits of that currency as well. That will be only good for the crypto currency world only.
The bitcoin is the first big coin and it is supported by many people and organisation. It will become even bigger.

bitcoin will be replaced with other cryptocurrency or maybe new highest digital currency "if" no people trust in bitcoin value, no new investor come, and no developer activity
If most of the people will truly remove their trust in bitcoin, no way they will trust other crypto too.
After all years that bitcoin really takes some good and positive progress, adoption, usage and development and still got wrecked you think people will trust other crypto too?
If the other altcoin is developed actively and has good community support, people will support it like the bitcoin.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
Bitcoin has had a huge advantage by being the first cryptocurrency ever. Its market cap is 10x larger than the closest competitor in terms of market cap (ethereum). It also has received significantly more press in mainstream media than other altcoins.
Since many altcoins have more advanced and complex features over bitcoin, they are even harder to understand to the ordinary person. Try explaining "smart contracts or the dao to someone with no knowledge of cryptocurrency and you will understand.
At some point bitcoin will be overtaken, just because it is far behind in its technology, but the question is how long that will take. No coin has gathered that kind of momentum since bitcoin.
"Since many altcoins have more advanced and complex features over bitcoin, they are even harder to understand to the ordinary person"
I agree with that. The simplicity is the key to the bitcoin success.

No this won't happen because bitcoin is already famous world wide and millions of people is using this coin. If it has to be replaced by other coin then only way is there That is to launch another coin and wait till that coin gets famous like bitcoin.
I think so. The bitcoin is the most popular digital coin now. If there is no big bug in the development, it will stiil be the number one coin.
The popularity of bitcoin is limited to digital world, not everyone knows about bitcoin but when it comes to crypto currency I think bitcoin is the best and it has no competition around.
For the time being, it has no competition. But in the future, it will have some competion. Examples are the Ethereum and Monero.

Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?
It is possible but i don't think m-Eth or similar pump&dump scamcoins will succeed it. It can be done by only big companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google etc. Even if those companies wanted to have their own global currency, they need to make huge investments which may result in failing everything.
That's why bitcoin needs to fail first to get replaced by something else. Only after that there will be a new one.
Finally! There's only a few people who realizes that Eth is a scamcoin and a lot of people are taking huge investments in it. Bitcoin is probably the only trusted coin there is. Well, litecoin almost made it but I'm not sure exactly what happened.
The ETC could also be a scam coin as it is controlled by the DAO hackers. We might need a clean start of the Ethereum from the beginning.

The price and the popularity of the Ethereum is going up at the moment. It also has faster confirmation time. It might replace bitcoin.

It is much better than oil. It is not subject to maniac actions by Middle Eastern monarchs. But this guy seems to be pushing for increased adoption of electronic rouble. That won't help much.
The electronic rouble will devalue year after year. So it does not help the Russian economy at all.
