Trying to mine with NBMiner on MiningPoolHub I get a connection timeout - if I manually run the miner changing the URL from "ethproxy+tcp://us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020" to "nicehash+tcp://us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020" it works fine.

I'm not sure how or if there's any way to change the URL for a pool, but I would really appreciate it if someone could help.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what, but when I benchmark x16r on my 1080 I get 32MH/s with RavenMiner and 26MH/s on CCMiner - however when I actually start mining on ZergPool it gets 13MH/s on both.

Same problem with my mining cluster of 970's - 17MH/s when benchmarking, but 4.5MH/s when mining.

Could be related to difficulty used during the benchmark, and/or that x16r hops algorithms so your hashrate will depend on what algo it's currently chewing on. Best thing is to leave the high hashrate from the benchmark, sacrifice an hour of mining time and take an average hashrate from that hours worth of mining. Alternatively if you wanted to be conservative you could take the slowest hashrate during the hour.
I see, I didn't figure the hashrate would change when the algorithm does since as far as I knew it just chained them in a different order so I assumed it would still be doing the same calculations.

I guess x16r just isn't worth mining right now.

The 'Computer Idle' rule doesn't seem to work for me.  I don't know if there is some device plugged into the PC generating inputs so it is resetting the counter, or if it just doesn't work.  I see the 'no longer idle' event go off when I make a new rule containing that trigger, but the idle event never works.
I will write a small guide for that feature today or tomorrow, where you can compare with your configuration. You need two separate User defined rules for this. One of the triggers in each.
Aye, that's how I have it set up - the idle is never triggering though.  I tried setting it up just as a notification to see.  The "Not Idle" will trigger as soon as I open Awesome Miner

EDIT: Disregard, I literally wrote a program to poll the windows idle timer and found out it was getting reset every second and closed programs one by one until I figured out the problem - it turns out Corsair LINK does this (and prevents screen saver and monitor off and system sleep in the process).  Idle works exactly as expected when Corsair LINK is closed.

How to set Zpool currency (AM 3.2.5 dev)

According to Zpools website we should set our currency in your password field: c=
There are no good way of setting a parameter per pool as part of the profit switcher that I can think of right now. Maybe this should be a setting for each entry on the Online services page in the Options dialog.

Both fields shouldn't be highlighted in this scenario, so I will correct that.

My understanding was that you only had to provide this parameter to zpool if you mine to a non-BTC wallet address.
I'd like to be able to convert mining rewards to ETH on Zpool as well (miningpoolhub lets you set this on their site).  So +1 here.

Awesome Miner doesn't have this feature right now, becuase the software was originally not optimized for small scale mining on a single gaming computer where you want to start and stop the mining depending on computer use. This is a feature that could be supported, so I will make a note of this request and add it in future versions.

I would love this feature as well - I use AM for a larger mining operation at my business as well as on my home gaming PC's to mine in their free time, there is no easy way to get the PC to STOP mining using Scheduled Tasks (starting is easy), so having this built-in would be a godsend.

Also one last request for awhile (everything else is... you know... awesome) - can you include profit on the web interface instead of just revenue?

Also a small issue, but using the 'Save hashrate...' shortcut on a miner does not seem to save the hashrate to the Algorithms page when you click 'OK' - I think this may only happen when you are using Managed Profit Switching (probably because of Unspecified coins) , as I remember it working before I started using that feature (using just Managed Miner)

First of all, thanks for all improvement suggestions on the profit switcher.

The idea is also to support defining GPU profile settings, and in some way apply when for example a miner is starting. Maybe it should be based on specific algorithm conditions to support the scenario you describe with the profit switcher as well.
Please also if you can allow it to revert to defaults when NOT mining, or specify a GPU profile to be used when not mining.

I think this is a pretty common use case - where people use AM to mine on a gaming computer when it is not in use.

It's worth mentioning that in the dev build, ccminer alexis has the groestl algorithm enabled by default but it does not support groestl - ccminer 2.1 does

Just keep your ears on the future updates, i know the creator is working on improving the OC/UV section, i recommended to him to add the ability to set OC/UV profiles for each algo, so when your running a profit switch miner it can tune to the best settings for each algo on the fly and he seemed to like that idea, so unsure if he is working on that yet or not, but mentioned he has plans to improve it.
Definitely, I'm getting back into mining after quitting for ~4 years and re-learning everything with all the new software and tools out there - OC profiles for each algo would be very welcome.

I am pretty sure this is not the case with this software YET, from my limited experience it seems the GPU OC/UV side of it are more of a monitor thing than anything. I actually run a looping batch file that sets my OC/UV values on my rigs, because when you get to a point of having a lot of rigs, its a little difficult to know when one is having a gpu resetting on you and if you dont catch it at lets say 3am, then your running that rig at 100% tdp and such x amount of hours tell you wake up and catch it. So i currently use a script that injects my settings every 5 minutes around the clock to the gpu's....

If you know anything about code, maybe there is a way you can write a script that would say if x software is not running, inject these values, otherwise inject these values... which would detect it not running and run the system at default.
Fair enough, was just hoping to save some time.  I'll come up with my own solution for this, thanks for letting me know!

I'm looking to purchase a 40 miner license but first I wanted to check on something:

When using the MSI Afterburner control, is there any way to get Awesome Miner to either restore the defaults or use different overclock values when mining vs when NOT mining?  The mining rigs I have are used by people for gaming whenever they are not mining and I can't have a low-power high-memclock profile active when trying to play games on them.  I have NVIDIA cards or I would just use the miner's built-in overclocking.
