Adding entries manual on holdings is nice for 10-20, but with hundreds you get lost.
Can you update holdings section, where you load a wallet, so that it could read every input in a wallet and adds a price@buy from api or some pre-downloaded data/historical from day 1 to present 2023/, assign 0.01 price where it lacks data, also entries imported auto to be open for further edit.

Downloading it already for install. It's a great tool. I never thought you would come back here again, but now that you have. I will open an issue next time whenever a problem like this shows up for easier tracking.

Both of my computers are running on Windows 10 and "here's a short video" that I just recorded on my desktop.
^{- Just noticed when I'm recording my screen, a double-click is enough to hide the widget bar, but normally it only works with a triple-click.}

It would've been better if it didn't open an additional window to show the whole content ^{[as it stands, only the thumbnail part remains in the same window]}.

It seems that it doesn't support adding Bech32 ^[P2WPKH] addresses.
^{- The same thing probably applies to Taproot addresses.}

Nice to see you added wallet address tracking balance, and my only concern about this is who else is reading IP address connected with those addresses, so maybe TOR switch would be good to have.
I love newsfeed feature, and I would like to see if breaking news could be somehow shown in widget bar (just titles, not complete articles).
I have to say that this is hands down one of the best portfolio apps for desktop, and I am surprised it is not gaining more popularity, especially since it is open source.
Maybe you need to do some marketing, open crypTrax twitter account and make some kind of partnership with other websites and people involved in crypto.

Freut mich, dass du weitethin an diesem Projekt arbeitest. Hatte vor kurzem mal wieder über dein Projekt nachgedacht, weil ich den Tracker gerne nutze und überlegte, ob es irgendwann wieder eine neue Version gibt. Und nun ist es soweit. Klasse.

Did you try contacting Coingecko directly and offering them some kind of cooperation?
I think they could be very interested.

Yeah I missed this option totally but after testing it I see it is partially eclipsing taskbar in operating system if it is set to bottom position.
Maybe adding manual move and custom positions for widget bar could solve this issue, but it's a small issue, nothing serious.

Try to make it modular if possible, so that we could manually change and adjust size and position, especially for widget bar.
Maybe adding option - always on top yes/no switch would be a good idea.

AppImage is great and this way crypTrax app will work in all Linux distributions, except maybe in Raspberry Pi OS, but for that you can just make arm version of appimage.
Maybe CoinGecko will hire you and make this their official dekstop application after this

I love the dark mode color combination with black and orange, including the option for quickly adding top coins, now you are only missing Candy collection from Coingecko
Widget bar is very cool and I like that you can click on coin to see what happened in past and all time high, maybe only some small size corrections should happen in future (slimmer option).
I will test your app in next few days and see if I notice any bugs and problems.
EDIT: First bug I saw is that I can't delete a coin from my portfolio, or atleast I don't know how, because delete button is not working from settings, it's working only from main page.

You put a lot of effort in creating this app and you deserve to have some rest.

1. wäre es super wenn zu den jeweiligen Token die einzelnen Trade aufgeführt werden könnten.

       z.B. Bitcoin und darunter das jeweilige Datum des Trade-Beginns mit den am dem Tage gültigen Werten.
              - Tag X - erworbene Anzahl - dazu dann den Tagesaktuelles Value - dazu Tagesaktuelle Profit/Loss berechnet
              - und dazu in der oberen Zeile die Durchschnittswerte der zusammengehörigen Trade der Coins
      

2. wäre es auch schöne die API (eventuelle auch mehrere) von verschiedenen Brokern z.B. Coinbase und eToro einbinden zu können) um die werte von seinen Broker einfließen zu lassen.

3. klasse wäre auch die Daten aus dem Verzeichnis "C:\Users\<Dein User>\AppData\Roaming\Desktop-Crypto-Tracker" mit in das Installationsverzeichnis zu legen. Dann kann man das ganze transportabel auf einem USB Stick bei sich haben

4. Im Tradeview Bereich eventuell die Größe der Charts variable gestalten.

Good looking tracker project. But is it possible for you to import that onto a browser? I find it to be convenient if it can be onto a browser although usually, most of the trackers are really needed to be downloaded.
And if you're basing it with coingecko, it is possible to have some option to rely with other tracking websites like cmc and the others?

Yeah, what I meant was something like a price widget bar that cannot be overlapped by open apps or browsers even when maximized. Something like this.



You can get some inspiration from bittab.io  The problem is its only available in windows and I don't think they have any plans for Linux.

An interesting project, I liked to download it, but:

 - Dark Mode Please.
 - The design needs more work: I don't know, but it looks a bit old and doesn't have a lot of diagrams and comparisons.
 - Creativity: There are a lot of sites that provide the tracking feature without the risk of installing anything, so you will need to add more features.
 - Dark Mode Please.
 - Portable mode: If possible, it will be fine.
 - Dark Mode Please.

Then we can download and compare the performance/speed of updates.
