I get that. But everyone is kicking and screaming; rightfully so. Just hope there are more individuals behind closed doors problem solving.

A ton of money flows through sales here - there is potential to right all the wrongs. Even at a scaled level, but that requires a lot of community effort/commitment. For instance, every % of every sale for a year here on the forums could go to a fund to make sure those most impacted one day are righted. Again, a random example of a million things to be done.

Point is, we can definitely overcome this, if we want to. I would prefer it to be in the form of a new collectible - because well thats the hobby. I don't hold a voice here though, so I'm just stirring the pot.

When shit like Coldkey happens, there are 2 paths in my mind. Accept it and throw in the towel OR try to salvage the situation and create an opportunity.

I am a victim too. But I refuse to let one man bring me down, and sure the f*ck shouldn't have the power to bring down our entire community.

Can the powers that be, Cygan, Owlcatz, anyone with card hardware - all of us join forces as a community to turn this into an opportunity?


1 idea:
Create 1 more coldkey card to rule them all. Can Brand it anything. Key generation a topic for discussion.

We destroy the previous renditions of all our coldkeys (a burn if you will), sweep what funds we have, and insert them onto a new card that is reserved only for coldkey owners.

Many other makers are offering auction donations - we can spread these proceeds across those cards to address lost funds and premiums.

Have an artist make the greatest card or coin or collectible we can. Owners vote as community on design. Maybe salvage premiums, limit print to only funded/impacted owners, and we can make history by rising up as a community. The concept should be that. Not what happened, but our resiliency; a major concept that embodies BTC.

Just 1 idea - you get it though. There are enough brilliant, creative, and resourceful individuals here that we can rise above this bullshit. This idea obv has initial gaps - let's fill them in.

This idea was just spun together in a few moments - I am sure with enough brainpower, we can put Yogg in the rearview mirror and come out with only a few bruises and lessons learned.


Hopefully this thread can be used to generate some ideas, and someone more influential than myself can step up to lead the charge.
