Well, but not everybody have the same electricity cost as you. And also, not every ASIC is currently out now.
Btw, the Z9 mini is not available.

A9 will be available very soon.

Lots of cards starting to pop up online second hand!
Still outrageously priced, but i'm sure there will be some bargains soon.
give it a few more weeks, I warned all those fools paying tripple retail price it was a bad idea
few people listened.  The longer this blood bath lasts the worse it gets for idiots who paid $900 for a 1070
and $700 for 580s 🤦🏿‍♂️

Or $1300+ for a GTX 1080 Ti.... I sort of feel bad for them, but mostly for their families in the cases of people maxing out credit cards or taking loans thinking they could get rich quick without taking a peak at how history repeats itself over and over.

I blame all the utubers "How to make $15 a day mining on one gtx 1080 TI!! Print your own monies!"

I am glad I did not buy the expensive GTX 1080Ti. I think I can buy them for below $800 in a few weeks.

The most easiest way is just to invest in some alts: etherium, waves, wings, monero, dash or others that you will like!

Maybe Bitcoin Cash? If you buy the S9, you can also mine Bitcoin Cash.

I only saw that the Crimson ReLive Edition Beta for Blockchain driver for Windows 7 and 10.

Has anybody tried that on Windows 8.1?

The Windows 10 driver does not install. For the Windows 7 driver, you can install, but there is blank screen.

Cheers

It is better to use Claymore.

Re: Manipulation finished. Bubble popping.
by
Estonic
on 04/06/2017, 18:41:19 UTC
Manipulation never comes to an end with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Depending on the market capital and the growth experienced the manipulation too happens. The bubble popping is just a outcome and these days the hands of China alone have got down in the price manipulation.

dude this topic is old and someone just bumped it up as a fun thing to laugh at the starter of this topic which is a known troll who is repeating the same thing as price drops. if you read what he is saying you see he is calling the drop down to $300 Cheesy
meanwhile price is testing $1400 resistance.

Topic is about four months old... but still, the subject matter is now as up to date as it was then.
I must agree that there might be a bubble blowing up, but I don't agree with the 99% hypothesis.
And I am sure that during the last months, the diversification of bitcoin has grown and not concentrated amongst a few people even further.
That is one thing that gives me hope why the actual high in price won't lead to a too harsh bounce back.

It looks like this could be a bubble. The price keeps going up so there's got to be a correction at some point.
Bitcoin is not such kind of project that was created to make bosses of the project rich and disappear in a moment.
Bitcoin is digital gold and I think bitcoin waits the same future as gold as we know it. The price will be growing and in some moment the grow will get slower and bitcoin will jump around some price which will be counted like the medium price.
If you look at the statistics of the rise and fall of prices, you can always trace them and their regularity. You can definitely suspect manipulation and fraud.
Right now the ongoing price increase doesn't look to be an price manipulation. It's purely real growth and nothing seems to be an altered or modified price move for the big investors to play and profit by initiating a panic among the users.
In general, the market has always been saturated with both growth and a drop in the price of Bitcoin. Therefore, it does not make sense to suspect someone, Because if Bitcoin has extraordinary features, it means that nobody has any influence on it.

I think the price will not drop in the long term as there are more people into the bitcoin. According to Coinbase, it is 40k a day.

Re: Will Bitmain Antminers S9 and T9 be obsolete if Segwit is launced ?
by

So Bitmain miners are the best to purchase because of this boost functionality?
NO!
Read the frickin' thread... It is NOT being used (according to Bitmain) and other un-named companies have it or a variant of it in their chips as well so is a moot point. The circuits are present but so far unused, probably because it does not deliver significant real advantage.

So the SegWit will have no effects.

Prepare for free fall guys. The manipulators have taken enough of your money for now and will let the price plummet again to 300-500 levels in order to play the same game all over again.

Anyone thinking this is a free market is delusional. 99% of all coins owned by 5 people lol.
And who are these 5 people and if you knew this much you can very well provide their names as well, with this thread it looks like you are delusional to the core ,manipulation in a market is a regular occurrence and traders like to cash in the maximum during these times and even if the price of the coin touches rock bottom traders will find a way to earn money from it.

I don't think the current trends are price manipulation. It is pure, unadulterated, free market.
Price manipulation is illegal and could land you in jail if proven in a court of law.

well price manipulation could land you in jail if it is about stock markets or any other regulated market. But Bitcoin is not regulated so i think who ever is into  manipulation of bitcoin prices will not get into any trouble even if he admit to it

Phil G Potter (the coo of BitFinex) admitted in an interview  to what would be considered insider trading in any regulated market
he maybe have been drunk or something and then he tried to say it doesnt matter because hes a whale and bla
bla bla .......

those guys should be in jail already but theyre laughing sitting on that giant pile of stolen btc they refuse to talk to the fbi about....

They will get what they deserved.

you can only dream about the cheap bitcoin price now.
we all have to accept the fact that price has gone up and those days are over, there is a good resistance in the $900 price and it can not be broken as we are seeing from the orderbooks clearly.

I think the price of $950 is very cheap.

Re: What happened to quark algo?
by
Estonic
on 06/12/2016, 16:40:06 UTC
Did quark become susceptible to ASICs? It seemed like a solid algorithm. Were there technical issues, or did the coins themselves just never generate support due to lack of continuing development?

Quark was massively premined and that put investors off. Other coins like secure coin are using similar algorithms to quark and their networks have been working for years. They normally give their algorithms different names to the quark one but they are essentially the same.

It may have been instamined to a certain degree but nothing like some other coins. It's minting phase was short and the developers although keeping it updated to a certain degree did nothing much with it. The fact it was not premined at all led to the devs not caring about it too much. That stephen guy who used to blast coin releases got a huge amount as did a few others but they dumped it hard at the start too.

As far as I know there are no quark asics but I could be wrong. A few coins are using that algo. Dnet and mue are but mue is changing soon. Quarks algo was good at the time took some time for gpu miners to show up publically anyway.

Shame it collapsed and that all we had was cryptsy really at the time which fucked it all up. Put a lot of new investors off of crypto that came in from outside this board. Bill still was convinced but sadly it was dumped hard. It is all but abandoned and polo and bittrex dont even have it listed. All trade is mostly on btc38.

I guess the question is more about its algo rather than the coin. Some still use it.

That is right. It seems that the Quark is like another scam coin. There is no active development of the coin now.

Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend!

A good investiment in my opinion would be casino bankroll. If you invest $20.000 on it (28 BTCs), you can earn 4.48 BTC monthly income... I don't know if the casino limits a max investiment allowed. And it's not guaranteed, I'm considering you can make 16% profit monthly, but it surely can change. Tell what do you think.
If at all if i am investing in a casino how could i be sure that i will be guaranteed the return if the casino is at a loss, since there are many hacks in most of the online casinos and in that case how can i trust my investment with it.

Theoretically, if the Casino is not hacked or the operator is honest to you, you will make good profit.

If you want the least amount of risk with potentially 20% gain, I'd go with bitcoins.  or maybe some Ripples

Investing that dollars in bitcoin is much better and not 20% but he will earn a large amount of profit if he do not spend them early and hold them for longer time at least for 1 year.

I think the bitcoin is a good investment for the long time. That has been proved in the past 6 years.

Well if you have that $20,000 for investment. I would hardly say that think about first if you really want to invest that in bitcoin industry.

Because if I have that in my pocket I would invest that first in real business just like I am going to build up my own room for rent.

So that I can get good profit there monthly depending on the contract with the renter.

It is better to just buy the bitcoin and not to invest in the bitcoin industry. Most companies are losing money.

the best investment use bitcoin
you can buy hadware mining altcoin and then self mining
you can learn trade, because trade is very fast growth money

If your electricity price is higher than $0.1/kWh, it is better not to mine as the difficulty is rising fast now.

Invest your 20k in gold because its too much to invest in bitcoin. If bitcoin fails then you lose your 20k and thats not what you want to happen. Gold will keep value so your money will be kept safe probably even more safe than a regular bank.

20k usd is not a big amount of money to invest in the bitcoin. The gold price will rise slower than the bitcoin.

i think you could invest this bitcoin into alt coin mining as this will give you profit

It is quite risky to invest in the altcoin mining. The mining difficulty is rising fast and the price of altcoin is not rising.

Re: Is now a good time to buy and store Bitcoin?
by
Estonic
on 20/08/2016, 16:01:54 UTC
It could be. We never know when price will rise, we never know when it will fall. With the 'hacks' like the Bitfinex one from a few days ago, I'd say THIS is the perfect moment to buy a lot of BTC, because it will recover soon and that means just profit. People will believe again in it, we have to wait some time until their fear will be gone.

Price will rise at the end of the year, and the current price drop will not have any major impact on the mindsets of the people, in fact people will prefer to buy at this stage.

120 k bitcoin will not be used for sometime. So that is a kind of holding. It could reduce the number of coins in circulation.
Honestly we dont still know if the hacker sold all bitcoins in his pocket.. its still risky to buy huge amount but i think  they are also waiting for the price increase

Do not worry about the future, price will be definitely higher in future so concentrate at a moment in buying as many coins as possible to generate higher profits in future.

That is right. The bitcoin price has risen more than 100 times since 5 years ago. I think it will also rise 100 times in the next 5 years.

The Ethereum hard fork is quite successful. The hacker will not get the $60 million to dump, the price will rise.
