Re: Investing In ICO's vs Investing AFTER The ICO
by
EthanKai
on 13/01/2019, 15:02:30 UTC
I see a lot of people wondering if they should invest in ICO's. I think the best option for any potential investor is to wait until the ICO ends, THEN invest. For instance, Nauticus was an ICO that started back in March. They recently launched their exchange and have been doing pretty good. Prices are only down 30% from the ICO price. That is a GOOD sign, BUT the prices still fell! This was a high quality project that raised $19,000,000. If they're falling a little bit due to the bear market, then you can expect 99% of the other ICO's currently out there to fall as well. It's all going to be dependent on the market, but in terms of risk I think it's better off if you just wait, THEN invest after the product launches. At the end of the day DYOR! It's imperative that you guys understand that we are in a bear market. Even the best projects like Nauticus, Ethereum, Bitcoin, NEO ect are all falling. I would assume that they won't fall forever tho Tongue

Nauticus Exchange - https://nauticus.exchange/exchange/

In trading, the more the risks, the more changes of bigger rewards. Investing in ICOs are for investors who are experienced in the industry and are good in predicting the project and its legitimacy. But prices of coins/ token on ICO are cheaper and has more bonuses.  Investing after ICOs, on the other hand, are those who want sure rewards on their investments. If indeed the coin reaches or gets listed in the market, their prices are higher so they get lower reward.

Re: Is regulation good or bad?
by
EthanKai
on 13/01/2019, 14:40:44 UTC
In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see  that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.

Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.

I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.

Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.

I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..

What's your view about it?

If we look at the ideals of cryptocurrency as a decentralized financial transaction, then government regulation would be against that ideals. But with the current market situation where scam ICOs and projects are everywhere, I am now in favor of regulating crypto. This in a way will protect investors losing their money.

Re: And the dip continues
by

Lately the crypto currency world in terms of trading is not predictable
Another round of dip is ongoing just before a potential hardfork for etherum

I thought there should be massive demand for etherum
Why is there a decline ?

Probably a reason why everyone has to be smarter in their own capabilities

The reported ethereum harfork that happened last January 11 and 12 are said to be not the real ethereum hardfork. Wherein the real and legitimate one is the Constantinople hardfork that will advance and give major changes to the ethereum platform. Maybe that is the reason why we have a spike in ethereum price lately.

Re: Now is the time to buy!

"Buy when there is blood in the streets" "Be greedy when others are fearful"

This is the time to buy if you want to become rich, The top coins are at bargain prices, 200 dollars for an eth, (that is an easy 5x if you hold).

I believe the whales and wall street manipulators have been keeping prices down and shaking out the noobs so they can accumulate for very cheap prices.

Yes. Now is indeed a good time to buy and hodl those top coins/ tokens as they are very cheap in the market right now. My intuition tells me that anytime soon the market will recover this year so it's a good strategy to have as many crypto in your wallet when that time comes.

Re: Cardano will replace ETH!
by
EthanKai
on 12/01/2019, 05:03:20 UTC
The CEO of Cardano has an obsession to put ETH into the gutter!

https://ambcrypto.com/cardano-ada-is-planning-to-replace-ethereum-eth-marlowe-to-take-over/

Cardano has the technology and capabilities to destroy ETH and some other coins in the top 20: Make no mistake Cardano is a giant slayer!

I think there is a possibility but not yet this year or even the next. Although Cardano is doing good in the market, it is still behind to ethereum in terms of market capitalization. Also, with the upcoming advances in its blockchain, I am hoping that the ethereum platform to be more attractive to investors.

Re: Ethereum set for January spike
by
EthanKai
on 11/01/2019, 12:05:57 UTC
Here we go some positive signs from ETH is on the way, hope this will be a valid analysis. Guys get ready as eth is all set to make a comeback after a long time according to the prediction.https://bitcoinnews.com/ethereum-set-for-january-spike-to-start-year-on-positive-note-with-constantinople/

I think the spike is due to the expected hardfork of ethereum, the Constantinople. I hope this will signal the start of recovery of the price of ethereum and stably hold the top spot among altcoins. I'm holding many tokens and coins that are pair with eth, so its rise in price will consequently raise the price of my holdings.

Re: How do I know the trustworthyness of a new coin?
by
EthanKai
on 11/01/2019, 11:47:01 UTC
Hi people,
I am relatively new in this field. Having done some "trading" of alt coins in 2018, I would like to seek the opinion of more experienced traders and hopefully gain an insight as to how can I better differentiate coins with higher potential and coins which are basically crap.

Thanks in advance!

Coins that are in the top 10, or even up to top 20 are sure coins that have long term potentials. These coins have already proven track record and capacity to weather the bearish crypto situation and will continue to do so. Aside from that they already have the solid community supporters that will make the coin on top.

Re: Trading is the key to increase your portfolio in the Bear Market
by
EthanKai
on 07/01/2019, 12:16:48 UTC
For now, trading has been keeping afloat in this bearish crypto situation. If I wait for my investments to go up, I would have gone bankrupt now. When I realized the middle of the year that the market won't be going up soon as predicted by many, I decided to trade portion of my assets and it has somehow sustained me.

Re: What to do if you are deceived?
by
EthanKai
on 07/01/2019, 11:57:01 UTC
I think that this is becoming more and more common lately, so what can we do to ensure that responsible people can be punished?

I think the easiest thing to do is to contact the developers before investing or before you decide to participate in the bounty of this project. You need to contact directly by phone, if it is specified or it is best to go and look at the address indicated on the website, is there really such a company. If this is not possible, but create a theme and ask people to find out if there is such an organization or people.

In general, by any means to identify the identity of these people. As soon as we can add personal identification, these people will not be able to just fool us. Because you can write to them in the police under the article fraud.

The most important thing is that today there is everything necessary in order to really find and punish the people who are deceiving us. I think it's time for us to start doing it, otherwise the ICO may die.

If you have any other suggestions, I will be glad to hear them.

You have a point there to have personal communication with people you invest your money to. But some people because of the attractive promise of big returns get easily deceived and invest without doing deep research about the project. They tend to be trusting in exchange for the promised big rewards. I think this is where regulation comes in useful. Regulating policies in crypto trading would somehow minimize scam project.

Re: what will happen with ethereum.
by
EthanKai
on 07/01/2019, 11:31:02 UTC
a few days ago hot news / updates about ethereum made me and maybe a lot excited, and ETH prices rose markedly after the next day, it kinda showed a little backward or as I thought. Now ETH prices continue to fall! What caused this? Am I missing something?

The news about the ethereum hardfork got everyone excited and wanted to buy and hodl as much ethereum as they want. But many speculates that this is a trap to entice investors to buy and temporarily pump the price of eth. I think it would take more than hype to stabilized crypto prices due to the bearish market that we have right now.

Re: Lesson from bear market
by

I have learned that whether the market is bearish or bullish as long as you know how to trade properly, you will still earn a lot in crypto. As long as you don't panic and react right away in price changes and be disciplined and patient, you will still earn during the bearish market situation.

Re: Why do people believe and invest in fraudulent ICO?
by
EthanKai
on 06/01/2019, 12:09:53 UTC
As far as I heard, the ICO Scam raised over $ 1 billion. Why did people invest in these ICO? Do you think this situation has changed now?

Investors do not normally know that the ICO they are investing are scams. If they do they would not have invested in those ICOs. In fairness, scam ICOs are getting sophisticated in presenting their project so people will believe in them. I think it is important that investors will become wiser this year so that people will go back in believing in cryptos.

Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins!
by
EthanKai
on 06/01/2019, 11:50:43 UTC
Well I have no more patience in holding it so I decided to dump all the altcoins listed in an exchange in a low price. I have been accepting already that I loss already in investing those altcoins. Because we are now in the peak season of the year 2018 and cryptocurrency market seem nothing to have gone good and I have also some needs to meet for the holidays so I sold all the altcoins. I will just check later on if cryptocurrency will going to be back at its normal market.

I am in the same situation. I have planned that if the market does not change I will be trading all my usable altcoins. I have been holding for quite a long time patiently hoping that the market will correct and recover at the end of the year. But it disappointingly did not happen. I will be trading them and just hold a few top coins.

Re: How long does it take to become a pro
by
EthanKai
on 05/01/2019, 16:01:39 UTC
I am really interested in this question. And you might be surprised, but I came here not only for money, but on the first place I put the feeling that I can do something important. Cryptocurrency world is not a teaching, medicine or life guard area, but i am a strong believer that every person should do something important for him, his family and friends and for other people as well. So I am thinking of becoming some kind of cryptocurrency consultant or something like that. But I understand that in order to achieve this goal I need to have a perfect portfolio and to become a highly qualified professional myself. I am ready to hard work for years, but i want to know how much time will I need? One year is not enough but what about three or four years? Will it be enough? What do you think? Thank you very much and good luck with your business.

It would depend on how much time and effort you put in your cryto activities. If actively research about the ins and outs of crypto and do trading and investing from to time, then you will get to know right how to avoid the pitfalls of crypto trading and become smarter right away.

Re: EOS? - The better Ethereum?
by

The EOS blockchain is ideally created as a better version of Ethereum. Fixing scalability issues of eth and providing better feature all throughout. Although it stated under the ethereum blockchain. But I am now excited to see how ethereum now matches EOS as ethereum blockchain is expecting a hardfork this January.

Re: How Ethereum Gained 80% in 30-Days & Outmatched Ripple
by
EthanKai
on 04/01/2019, 15:53:41 UTC
Ethereum’s (ETH) price has increased from $83 to $150, which is around 80% against the USD over the past month, in a significant corrective recovery.

On Wednesday, January 2, 2019, after a 7% rise in its price, ETH outstripped Ripple (XRP) to repossess its position as the second most valuable digital currency on the world market.

Read the details in the article of Coinidol dot com, the world blockchain news outlet: https://coinidol.com/how-ethereum-gained-80-in-30-days-outmatched-ripple/

I think supporters of Eth are amassing coins for the three hardforks expected this January. It will be a good advancement to the ethereum blockchain as the competition for blockchain features are getting stiffer in every release of new coins. great days awaits for eth holders.

Re: ETH Fork
by

on 04/01/2019, 15:31:05 UTC
With the new Ethereum fork - Do we need to do anything with our ETH which is on a cold wallet

If your ETH is in your personal wallet that you have securely hold your private and account information, no need to do anything as the update of a better ethereum blockchain will just take effect with your wallet intact. Also, stakes for ETCV and ETN for every ETH you have requires your ETH in your personal wallet to receive it. The Constantinople hardfork, on the other hand, allows you to even hold on some specific exchange like Kucoin, Binance.

Re: where to sell tokens?
by
EthanKai
on 13/07/2018, 14:43:46 UTC
I'm new, and I wanted to sell my tokens. Advise me of sites for the sales of tokens. Where is the big turnover? where is the easiest to sell?

Exchanges are the way to sell your altcoins. Although some projects have their own exchanges. For a summary of the different exchanges, a specific altcoin is listed, I right away go to coimarketcap. they provide good details of the pricing and trends of cryptos and provide list of exchanges you can sell your coins.
