so pissed at myself
could've gotten a lot of BOST when it was 0.00010131. Even put an order in and thought it would pass. Didn't.

I'm pretty sure that order will get filled if you leave it up.

How does one stop staking to be able to send balance of coins in wallet?

You can "lock" your wallet or even just close it and reopen it.

I have left my wallet open for over a day but the coins still don't go into the stake section?? any ideas ??

Is your wallet also unlocked ?

How do I check that? Some coins go into stake and then when I receive something say from the exchange, ALL the coins go back into the "spendable" section ?

You are correct though, as soon as you make a outgoing transaction it will "reset" your stake-age and be replaced in the next block. However, for incoming tranasctions, you stake-age is not changed and so you just increase the amount you are staking. I hope that makes sense, but if not refer to the bitcoinwiki and search for POS.

Do I NEED my wallet open for the staking process ? Or can I encrypt then close the wallet ?

You should first encrypt it and then unlock it. Then leave it open. POS mining takes mininmal electricity so don't worry about that.

I want to make a few comments regarding recent events (take with a grain of salt as this is just my perspective).

1) It is not the dev's job to make the price of a coin go up. He cannot enter a line of code which says : price = 100000 satoshi's. A coins price does not always reflect is true value and you really should know this.  This is open-sourced and if we want to succeed it depends on all of us !

2) Learn some economic theories, learn some fundamental analysis and learn to stand your ground and not be so damn fickle with your investments. No one forced you to buy Boost and no one forced you to panic sell - take responsibility for your decisions. Market cap up, daily volume up, price down. It's obvious what is happening if you do some research rather than take all the FUD in as facts.

3) The dev has said he will try to research and implement anon (even though it wasn't part of the original plan, he wants to do it due to community demand ). BUT please stop acting like ANON is the holy-grail of crypto because its not. Bitcoin, litecoin and a plethora of other coins don't have anon, yet they are successful. If you only want anon for price sake and not anon's sake then your thinking is one-dimensional.

4) It seems like most of you are holders to me. If you actually want someone to buy your boost from you, I would suggest a tad of positivity in this forum. Who would want to buy a coin that is "dead" ? Oh wait, nevermind - that's right... The guy with the #1 wallet is buying.... Buying up all the panic sells.

5) Over a week ago,  Boost had 1/5 of the features it has now yet people were prepared to pay 10/20/30 K satoshi's for it. Now that the price is down due to miners dumping, everyone is complaining for more features as if there is a linear relationship between features and price. Don't let your opinions be someone else's quotes.

Lastly, take a moment to actually appreciate the work the dev has done. He has been hard-working, honest, transparent and has not filled us with  false promises which is more than I can say for 85% of the developers out there. Patience is a virtue and if you don't want to be patient then you have hardly any right at all to complain about how things are done.

Boostcoin has MASSIVE potential but a coin is only as strong as it's community.

Aaannnddd monsterhash.me is offline, guess I am not getting the 500 coins owed to me... thanks for the great support guys!  Angry

Any news on the Multipool mammix?

monsterhash working for me

Just wait, you will find a block and won't see a payment for it, pretty fun stuff!

Lol yeah can you tell I am a little sour about the whole ordeal? Also just noticed the site isn't showing hash rates etc. so I figured it was down.

Can I please send you 500 BOST to stop complaining about this? They said it's automated and you will get your BOST, but of course security is a top priority so things may be a little slow.

If you're doubting Boost now just go take a look at coinmarketcap. Boostcoin is #19 in terms of 24 hour volume at about $45,000 and is just over 2 weeks old. There is a barrage of other coins that promise everything under the sun, yet trade at way lower volumes and people still have no problem supporting them - from whitecoin to nautliuscoin, and everything in between.

I would rather wait 3 weeks for a carefully and cleverly implemented anon-tech, than hear some hype about anon being implemented tomorrow just to find out that it's not really anonymous and/or was simply a pump'n'dump mechanism, as we have seen with dozens of other coins. Patience is a virtue, but if you don't have it go believe the 'rainbows and sunshine' stories other coins might offer you.

My wallet has been unlocked all day.

During the day it said my stake was only the coins I had bought off an exchange, not the ones I mined and now there are all 000 next to stake.

How does the stake work in PoS?

Make sure to not close your wallet, lock it or turn off your pc. Everytime you do, you have to unlock it and restart the staking. I think the minimum stake time is 24 hours (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so if you leave your wallet open all day and overnight you should see some stake rewards in the morning.

But i did have coins in the stake this afternoon....now nothing. And it was only my purchased coins that were staking, no mined coins

It now says expected time until return: 2days

Eventually it moves the staked coins into your normal/total balance and you don't see it under stake anymore. That's what has been happening for me. Try write down your total and see if it increases by a few; sometimes its hard to even notice the stake rewards cause they are tiny.

Slowly working our way up Mintpal voting page, in 38th place!

Everybody vote once per hour: https://www.mintpal.com/voting#BOST

BTC votes are always appreciated Smiley

What makes mintpal so good? Isn't it just an exchange like everywhere else ?

Really high volume exchange and notorious for taking coins to new heights Tongue

for that kind of money ENC better have developed quantum computer  Cool

I see our BOST flatline a bit. does not worry me, cause dev is looking for expanding team to develop deep internal features , rest is some automated trading short term who cares! of course heavy wallet should be used to encourage entry, lots of good things going for BOST (and no propaganda, I really think so) BOOST as most common C++ lib in the world (name recognition) X13 actually worked and works, lots of POST's in this thread and discussions (interest) nice logo (branding) dev with addresses full of coins, and exposed to actually pay for work ,, all good!

enjoy the day!  Cool

That flatline for Boost is starting to look more and more like it's hinting at an uptrend on Bittrex. I think we could find a serious new floor before POS if we get added to Mintpal tonight.

Mintpal tonight? Is that just assuming that we will be picked up due to sheer attention on Boost? Or am I missing something? I mean I am hopeful of this too, just curious really.

Yep, all of that is assuming we get added. I'm trying to objectively imagine which coin Mintpal will add, and it makes sense it would be Boost; I mean first X13 POW/POS coin that about 2 days away from POS and has been trading with significant respectable volume since it hit exchanges. I'm pretty sure they want to get their hands on it Tongue
