Re: Should I move my cold storage to multisig?
by
EvilPanda
on 19/04/2015, 22:03:53 UTC
Well I am new to the Cryptocurrency world...so I don't fully understand the meaning behind Coldstorage. Have read that word a lot in many different threads...just never got the guts to ask...What exactly is cold storage?

Cold storage is in other words an offline storage, it can be for instance a paper wallet or an encrypted wallet.dat stored on a USB stick. When you have a wallet that you're using daily to process transactions it's your hot wallet.

I keep my coins on Electrum, which is not a multisig wallet. I understand the advantages of a multisig. Then I would have to keep 3 "things" really safe instead of just 1. I might have to do that someday, when I have a huge amount, not worried about it now.

Same here. Maybe if I had a small fortune in Bitcoin I'd be more inclined to make paper wallets and stuff. When I had more coins I used a dedicated netbook running ubuntu that I turned on only to process the payments. Now I don't even bother and keep most stuff online, just divided between different wallets.

Re: Does martingale really works?
by
EvilPanda
on 16/04/2015, 18:46:23 UTC
I think, Martiangle is a good strategy but very dangerous if used constantly, I've lost 1 BTC because this strategy.
Actually, I never succeeded, Martiangle strategy is not good as the theory revealed. The practice is totally another story.
It works if you have enough money and start with very low bets. Sadly, I think some sites employ scripts that prevent you from abusing martingale, that's why some people recommend to change "seeds" from time to time if you run into a wall of losses.
Otherwise people would just go in with a high amount of money, like 100BTC, set the minimum bet to 0.001BTC and run on auto 24/7.

Re: High voltage device creates an anti-gravity effect
by
EvilPanda
on 16/04/2015, 13:12:55 UTC
I mean, its not the point how to recharge the battery. The point is that we have an over unity system because the current is minimal. The voltage makes the whole job.

OK, you obviously don't understand what "over unity" is.

Over unity refers to a system that produces more energy that it consumes. Such a system violates the laws of thermodynamics and is theoretically and practically impossible to create.

The voltage and current are totally irrelevant here - all that's happening is the transformer is converting high current/low voltage from the batteries, into low current/high voltage. The power in the system stays the same. You cannot increase both voltage and current, as you would need more power from somewhere - there is no such thing as a free lunch.

A similar thing occurs in a Van de Graaf generator and a Tesla Coil.

For the device to demonstrate over unity, there would have to be a way for it to run forever. So the batteries would have to be continuously recharged by some method, or the batteries would have to removed (with the system continuing to run).

That's right overunity is a kind of perpetum mobile. A good example is a combination of an engine and an alternator, where the engine turns the alternator, which supplies power to the engine.

The device in the video seems to be working like an electromagnet, but there is a difference. It supposedly doesn't work in vacuum, so it's not a typical magnet but the levitation is caused by the current.

Yes, we are. We are meant to destroy ourselves, just look what we did to so many animal species and to ourselves in the previous wars.
Europe is boiling right now and if the war starts it will probably start in Russia. I can tell you that the Eastern border of the EU is poor, unemployed and feels threatened by the Russians and they aren't even trying to ease the tension.

I sincerely doubt there's something like "risk free money" unless you're running a charity  Wink
Everything that requires you to give your own money to someone else, even for a while, has a certain risk to it.

Re: Investing your bitcoins with no risk to ever deteriorating exchange rate?

Bitcoin is probably already in the lows. If it rises to $1000000 all the investors will lose out, right?
If they choose the safe option then yes. That's what it's meant to do, switch your funds to USD as you're waiting for a reversal.
It's basically allows you to freeze your investment. A jump like that won't happen overnight, so you'll have enough time to get back in.

It didn't take long for them to go belly up. If he's scamming for 0.6BTC it means he wasn't making much from the site and decided even that small sum is better than nothing. Shame...

Now what? he is faking bets on his site, maybe he need more red flags in his account, ajareselde could ask some trusted members to do that.

He said today that the money will be returned, let's see how it goes. I left him some additional feedback Wink

Coinroyale doesn't seem rigged to me. I played a bit and the win/lose ratio seems to be very close to 50%. I think I had about 55%-60% of my hands in BJ were wins.

Re: Exchanges Too Invasive. Options?
by
EvilPanda
on 14/04/2015, 13:02:38 UTC
I would to ask you, what is the reason that make you still use coinbase? is there no substitute for it?
in my opinion, bitpay could replace its payment, lakebtc kraken bitstamp could replace its exchange.

The best exchange right now is BTC-e. They have been around for more than 4 years now, and they were never hacked during this entire time period. They require no verification, and they will never provide any user info to the United States government agencies.

Their volume is still low for an exchange that aspires to be the best.

There have to be more places to buy Bitcoin or we'll have more Goxes. The exchanges can't be the only source, not all people are traders and we can't expect the whole society to access exchanges every time they need some coins for daily use. Localbitcoins is great, but we need more alternatives.

Re: Russian army that never been in Ukraina bring back some trophy to Russia ... LoL
by
EvilPanda
on 13/04/2015, 15:16:49 UTC
As far as I am aware, no one debates the fact that Russians have been fighting in Ukraine, what is debateable is if the Russian army has been fighting in Ukraine (whilst on duty, thus paid to do so by Russia)

It's not quite as easy to define as you would think!

That may be true but heavy equipment that is being used by the separatists is Russian. Also Putin in a interview for the Russian tv admitted that Russian army was involved in taking over the Crimea

Same as those Buk launchers that shot down Malaysian plane were Russian. Strangely right after it happened they were moved out, they must've realized what a shitstorm this will cause.
Rusian equipment has a strange way of getting into the hands of rebels, separatists and terrorists all over the world.  Grin

I would stick your post instead of it  Roll Eyes

I have to say the owner of PD is a nice and honest person, so if you like dice I'll point you there. If you don't like dice and prefer cards or roulette try Coinroyale. The guy running it is very nice and I never had any problems depositing or withdrawing money.

Re: Any Anime fans here? Anti western cosplayers movement
by
EvilPanda
on 12/04/2015, 13:23:56 UTC
You called ma a troll but you try so hard to prove me wrong, you are a hypocrite who don't deserve my attention.

Must be super hard for you to accept the truth you don't like, you probably a westerner yourself who love to imitate Anime characters or who hallucinate that Anime characters are based on westerners, so seeing this kind of topic are like a hallucination-bomber to you.

Get lost from my topics.

Of course you're a troll, and an angry one on top of that. I'm a European and that's as far as your psychoanalysis goes. I don't even watch anime anymore, but I like to watch cosplayers. Some of them are real artists and also very attractive ones.
Thank you for showing what a bigot you are. A bigot that can't take someone elses opinion and would rather have it disappear. Truth hurts, I know.

You are stubborn, but I'll say that to the rest of people reading the topic. The Japanese are fascinated by our Western culture, you can find proof of this in a lot of their works. Just some examples:
They love to picture Christian churches, crosses and other religious symbols, they also frequently use latin.
They get turned on by Christian nuns and angels Wink
Almost never use Japanese or Chinese weapons but prefer Western (especially US made)
They like to set their stories in the medieval times, with European castles and knights.
And so on and so on...

Just face it, people who make the stories you watch are fascinated with us just as some Westerners are fascinated with Eastern culture and your hate and denial won't change it.
