There are certain regions with a very cheap (official) electricity price. But you need to physically be there, or at least have a trusted local person in order to even think about an investment. Otherwise, the risks are too high...

In my case it was Ebit E10 miners that were causing suspicion (resulting in account ban).

I don't know what's wrong with them, but it looks like the E10 should be kept away from this pool.

As for the graphical representation, I think it would have been a bit more intuitive if it was just a green line above the graph. The way it is done now, the overlapping green and red create just another color, so a non-experienced user will see it as three different zones (even four zones if you take the white area). I guess this may cause more questions and confusion...

Thanks! I tried to think of it this way, too. This would make sense if I'm the only person on this pool using Ebit E10. Something tells me this is very unlikely... there were a lot of E10 shipped all over the world around March-April this year...

Even if it's the case and I'm so unique with the hardware I have (or manage for others), my question still remains - how about other Ebit devices? I have a few E9+ (or E9++, or whatever they're called) - should I take them out, too? The decision criteria for banning are unclear to me. And while the technical details may be a know-how and not to be disclosed, I would at least like to have some kind of a list of equipment prone to be banned. So I won't buy one of those next time I go shopping for a miner.
And no, a term 'modified firmware' doesn't give me the answer, as I believe every vendor modifies cgminer - one way or another.

Up until yesterday, I thought the restrictions applied only to rented hash and AsicBoost (with work in progress to add support for the last). Looking at the way things went today, Ebit E10 are also not allowed. What's next? We have Canaan (unfortunately Avalons are still a bit pricey in my region, even today), and Bitmain (noone likes them, but everybody uses their Antminers). Are these the only supported / allowed vendors?

I am managing my own miners, as well as miners of some of my friends. Each one has its own wallet, of course. So each one has his own Kano account. I am managing it because I recommended them to mine here, and they trust me. It's nothing more than that.

The firmware on my miners is stock from the factory. Nothing was modified there.
It's not an overclocked S9 or anything like that (yes, I saw someone here trying to say something about custom firmware - but I am NOT using such). I do have my opinion about modifying firmware in general, but I won't even start to discuss it here, as it has no relation to the actual situation.

I can guarantee I did NOT touch the firmware. Thus, I am expecting these miners to work just like any other miner does - FINDING BLOCKS!

Kano, since you didn't respond to my last PM, let me ask it again here.

Situation is the following. I had an account with a few Ebit E10 mining on this pool for several months. Yesterday that account was blocked. Kano said (in PM) the account is blocked because he "no longer trusts them to be mining properly". The E10 I own have a firmware 8.0.0.45 provided by the factory (Ebang). If there are any doubts - this firmware is still available on their web site. I suggested to arrange a remote access for Kano to have a look in case he suspects an incorrect behavior of these miners. In response, I was only asked to "mine elsewhere".

Does this mean Ebit E10 are not allowed on this pool at all?
Something tells me I'm not the only one running the E10. I really don't understand why my account caused any suspicions.

And, if E10 are not allowed, how about Ebit E9 / E9+ / E9.x that are currently offered by Ebang?

Did anyone see a block today? I think I misplaced mine... Need to go and find it.

Though, I'm not a coder and this is just a part of the hobby for me. Therefore, my expertise on the subject is somewhat limited.

If you wish (and have enough time...), you may consider adding Telegram messaging support to Minergain (check here for API description). Basic things are quite easy, while more complex projects will require some digging.

I made a script that checks pool API on a regular basis and sends notifications to the messenger when it 'sees' a new block. Initially I developed it for myself, because I was not very happy with Android app that gave 'false positive' notifications every time kdb is restarted. Then I thought it may be helpful to others - so I made a channel for others to be able to join as well.

The script does not store historical data (except for the last block height), so it is what it is - a tool to notify about new blocks.
Minergain provides a lot more statistical data, so I'm not even trying to compete!

I have set up a Telegram channel informing about new blocks found on kano.is. If you use a Telegram Messenger, you can click this link: https://t.me/kano_pool and subscribe. New block notification should arrive pretty fast (after the pool finds a block, of course!).

So far only new block notifications are set up, and I don't think we need other messages there. Certainly, there's not going to be any spam or other kinds of unwanted messages there (that's why it's a channel, and not a chat!).

Also keep in mind all these servers across the Globe with 'proper' (fast enough) network connectivity - be it an AWS or anything else... That also cost quite a lot of money that are paid from that amount (I guess...).

We definitely need to find more blocks, so that Kano can relax a little bit!

As noted above, electricity cost is one of the biggest concerns.
If you have a flat rate regardless of consumption, I think you made the right choice!
