F1K, Good to hear. We need to still figure out what wallet to download and why there seems to be an issue connecting to the nodes. Still couldn't get it work. Do you import old wallets?
YC
The KOIN thread should explain it all. I had no issue getting it to run. You can try to start your koin client with the -addnode command to force it to connect to me.
That's a damned goo idea F1k, how do I set up a node? this thing is up 24/7!
My KOIN node runs on IP 82.157.202.78 The port for KOIN is 41338
Make the wallet you use for the KOIN network accept connection from the outside world on port 41338 and you're good to go.
I think I started my node around July 1st and I have not received any kind of complaints. I think this should help exchanges list the coin, as clearly there is no issue with KOIN.
Soooo who with skill is going to rebrand the blockchain to lotuscoin or something lol coins will still be there just not the same name
I don't think a rename/rebrand will help, it was tried a few months back calling it "koin" hence the name of this thread!
I still have my KOIN node running. It all looks pretty out of the woods and legal. No incoming received yet since the change. So let's generate some demand, a decent exchange and get cooking?
to be honest it looks like you got a slap on the wrist from the KYC-authority. Name, address etc. isn't going to stop bots from ordering at your website. (if I'm wrong: please fill me in)
They seem to not like Bitcoin and giftcards are seen as a great way to give untraceable money. I wonder if the Dutch VVV-bonnen have the same issue.

Re: [NLG] Guldencoin.com/pay-here — Guldenwallet for iOS coming soon
Multisafepay, but i might convince them if we build in more security measures. Problem with that is that it will take longer to buy the card.
Why would you want to stick to that paymentprovider then? I know expected volume dictates price when you're looking for fiat paymentproviders, but I'm sure there are more who can do what you need done.
Maybe I shouldn't write their names here, but I can give you a few names in pm if you're looking around.

in case you guys sell... where to do this ? and able to get direct EUR? And than what... free wire to your account? Or first converse to bitcoin necessary f.e. ?
I just buy and sell directly at Litebit.eu
I don't want to have the hassle of selling NLG for BTC and then using another service to get my EUR. Litebit takes a fee, because they do all that work for me. I get less money, but I also need to do less work.
They're super fast with wire transfers too.

Re: [NLG] Guldencoin.com/pay-here — Guldenwallet for iOS coming soon
At the moment I'm using Bittrex.com as an exchange for BTC to NLG coins and reverse. However, when I send or withdraw BTC or NLG coins to/from Bittrex.com it takes quite some time (1+ hours) for it has been confirmed which makes the coins stay on pending deposits for quite a long time. I already sent an e-mail to Bittrex asking them about this issue but unfortunate I still haven't received any answer from them yet.
Is this a normal situation and do you experience the same thing?
Thanks in advance!
When I used to send btc to kraken it would take an hour at least. I think this is because the potential result of a double-spend attack on an exchange would be devastating. It makes sense that if your main job is making sure that every user is able to use the resources you promised to them, that you take extra effort to check that you indeed have those resources and that they belong to the user.

If I recall correctly NLG was never about the exchange rate. NLG aims to be used in as many places as possible. It does not matter if you need to pay 10.000 or 100.000 NLG for your sandwich. It matters that you can use NLG to buy a sandwich.
This is reflected in the actions of the team behind NLG. They keep finding new merchants and try not to pre-pre-pre-announce the new merchants or do other stuff to try and get the price up. They deliver. The market follows
