Re: NFT Punks for cheap !
by
FACE 2 FACE
on 19/05/2022, 15:28:29 UTC
The average price for a common punk is from $3, for rare - from $7-8, for ultra - from $15, for epic - from $20, for legendary - from $40 and above. Prices may change. All prices will rise closer to the game's release.
If the market will go further down, then there is not much point in buying these punks now. Just for memory. Or for fun. If the war between Russia and Ukraine does not end soon, then this may lead to the fact that the market will continue to fall.

Although, of course, there is a chance that the developers will make this game despite the market situation.

I got a little familiar with the project and their website. And the situation looks a little strange - for example, if I want to buy a key from them through the application with which one random punk opens, then at the moment this key costs 21 bucks. But you're selling common punks for $3. What's the point of this ? The key costs 21, but you sell at 20 - your epic punks. Is there some kind of trick here? Why so cheap ?

Wow. It looks like the project admin is going to roll out some kind of announcement in the near future. This will probably be quite unexpected for all those who have long since said goodbye to this project  Smiley
The latest news in this thread was over 2 and a half years ago. It will be extremely surprising if this project is revived. Although, I look - their site is still available on the Internet. The only thing I can't figure out where is their telegram ? Their group is closed or what? Write a link if anyone knows their telegram group.

The dude who lost his hard drive is in a panic now, because in reality he would have been a multimillionaire long ago if not for this case, so he is ready to do anything just to get his bitcoins back. This is a very sad story and one can understand him in his position. He is ready to give 70 million to get the opportunity to get his money back. And it’s strange for me that the municipality still hasn’t accommodated this request.

Keeping your funds on the exchange is always a risk. But sometimes this is a compulsory measure, because otherwise we may lose an opportunity to buy or sell at the right time.

In general, I am very surprised why large insurance companies have not yet developed sufficiently transparent and simple service packages for users of cryptocurrency exchanges.

Surely everyone would be much calmer if we could officially insure own deposit, which is on the exchange. This would solve a huge number of problems at once.

If the relationship with your own wife is not very prosperous, then the private key should be kept secret even from her. Otherwise, at some tense moment of your married life, she will transfer your joint bitcoins to her personal address, to which you will no longer have a private key.

But this is fraught with the fact that quarrels can occur in families because of this. Because the one who owns the private key also owns this money.

On the other hand, if you bought these bitcoins with your joint money, this means that both of you will need to know the private key to the address where they are located. A certain dilemma arises in this case.

Re: john mcAfee pumps crypto from prison, denies tax fraud and murder

John McAfee has shared many details about his life in Spanish prison and chances of extradition to the U.S. He additionally claims to have regained control of his ghost cryptocurrency project.
John McAfee is in Spanish prison awaiting his extradition trial after he was arrested in Spain.
McAfee has been tweeting regularly from prison, he tweeted: “You want to know what prison is like. It’s like a Motel 6 run by Hitler’s SS,” "I am content in here. I have friends. The food is good. All is well. Know that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine … Prison is an adventure to say the least."

continue to read: https://news.bitcoin.com/john-mcafee-crypto-prison-tax-fraud-murder/
In fact, the McAfee situation somewhat reminds me of a similar situation with Julian Assange. Two freedom fighters - both targeted by the US government. How it will end is hard to say. Perhaps they will try from McAfee, just like from Assange - to make another scapegoat, and to hold a show trial that will be for everyone's edification. We'll see. Time will tell.

Most likely, in the near future, one should expect massive targeted deceptions on the part of casinos, when they groundlessly claim that they use blockchain technologies and guarantee honest payments, while in fact they will be all the same standard casinos with manipulations and attempts to deceive customers.

In reality, there are very few people who are able to thoroughly study all the ins and outs of such a casino to make sure of its honesty. Most ordinary people simply trust slogans and advertisements. So, they will continue to deceive us.

I would say that your proposal is quite an efficient solution to the problem of proving ownership of private keys. However, as vapourminer correctly noted, for such a verification system to function as intended, we would have to deal with numerous third-parties, which in itself is unacceptable when it comes to decentralized systems such as Bitcoin. We would have to reveal our identities, sacrifice our right to privacy, entrust our lives to those who would be implanting the chips into our bodies. Besides, such chips might come with different backdoors and software for tracking your current location and history of purchases. That would give governments additional tools to control you.
Yes, of course, if we were forced to use this kind of implantable microchips, then naturally this, too, theoretically could give rise to another vector of attacks from hackers, only now it would be directed not at the user of the wallet or his laptop. Now hackers would attack directly the manufacturers of these microchips

But despite this, I still like this idea, because in this way it would very likely solve the problem of identifying the owner of the private key.

And, yes, I perfectly understand that if everyone began to use such identifying microchips, then, in addition to hacker attacks, this could also lead to even more terrible things - for example, if the chip was located in the hand, or somewhere under the human skin, and if it was a certain public figure, then for sure there would be some completely reckless personalities who would not have disdained by committing physical attacks on carriers of such chips in order to extract them from bodies.

And if such wallets will contain millions or tens of millions of dollars, then, I'm sure that after some time it would become our everyday reality.

The movie Looper with Bruce Willis comes to mind for some reason. There, a plot was played up in which people were hunted in an unusual way, because it was impossible to kill such people with ordinary means precisely because of various kinds of identifiers that were used in the future on our planet.

But despite these new vectors of dangers that may take place, I still think that society will gradually move in this direction - the identification of everything and everyone on this planet.

In the meantime, for any rich guy, one single rule is still relevant: "If you want to stay rich, keep your private key a secret from everyone."

that introduces a third party you need to trust (the chip maker say). bitcoin is designed to be trustless. and security keys get lost or break. who issues them and the replacements? another party to trust.

bitcoin security is based on math, mainly the astronomical odds of finding a duplicate key. its the only thing needed atm. just protect your keys. which is admittedly harder for some than others.

In order not to become a victim of various horror stories about bitcoin and how much it is now gluttonous in terms of electricity, it is best to consider this problem from the other side. First you need to answer the question - what lies on the other side of the scale! If the advantages that bitcoin provides more than outweigh the costs of its existence, then it has the right to develop further.

Britain and all of its offshore states have now begun a rather tough policy with regard to funds obtained by criminal means, as well as with respect to various financial manipulations. In this regard, the delights of offshore companies may soon end. For novice startups related to cryptocurrencies, it is better to turn their attention to European countries or to Japan.

Only a few will become millionaires during the crisis, the rest will finally go bankrupt.

It seems to me that these are vain hopes that banks will one day disappear. Even if they do not exist physically and they do not have offices and real estate in which they are now, they will continue to exist virtually. In the form of portals or in the form of interactive decentralized services. I think it will be that way.

Many novice investors have no choice - they are forced to be guided in their decision-making by the opinions of outside experts, since their personal level of understanding is at a much lower level. Therefore, this theme will applies only to those who are able to draw conclusions on their own and to a large extent adequately understand the issues of cryptocurrency projects.

In fact, the arms race and the investment of billions of dollars in the military-industrial complex is not what people living on the planet need. All these things related to building up strength and defenses are games played by those in whose hands the power is.

They create the illusion that only enemies surround us, that Russia and the United States are enemies, that the United States and China are enemies. We are being told this from TV screens by deceitful politicians, while this is not at all the case.

The world is much more friendly than they try to lie about it in the news.
