I toyed around with WordPress for a bit while looking into affiliate websites and it works fairly well for the purpose. I used a free theme but the ones that cost money do a lot better, or so I'm told. You do still have to pay to host, of course, but WordPress is honestly a pretty great resource for building websites, imo.

Friendly reminder that posts to Pump and Dump telegrams, slacks, discords etc will result in a ban. Since there seems to be at least one every thread.

Re: Will religion save you?

I was raised as a Southern Baptist. My grandfather is a preacher - retired now. I used to believe quite strongly. My faith began to fade in my late teens.

One of my problems with religion is that there are so many of them. Practically every culture for all time has had their own separate religion, and each one believed that their's was "the one." What made me think mine was the right one and billions of other people throughout history were wrong and are burning in Hell? I just happened to get lucky enough to be born into a family that believed the right religion? That's bullshit. Clearly, religion is just an attempt to explain a frightening and complex world we don't understand.

On a personal level, I had a bad experience. I had been an active member of my church's youth group for years. I got my girlfriend pregnant in high school. You'd have thought I murdered someone. Many of the people treated me like crap about it. Not everyone, of course, but enough that it hurt. Where was the undying love and compassion they preached about? I sure could have used it at that time in my life.

1) wait until the tides swallow an endangered pacific island nation and it is abandoned
2) buy land for penny on the dollar
3) stock it with tropical lobsters and other creatures for an ecosystem
4) reincorporate land as Lobster Town

Look into Leapforce, Lionbridge and Appen. All three of these companies pay around 13-15 an hour to evaluate search engines. Its completely flexible as well so you can do it after work/on weekends etc.

Re: What Programming language is easy to learn ?

C# isn't just for Microsoft development. I do game development with it using the Unity3d engine. Other game engines also support it, like the unreal engine. Unity can quickly compile your game to work with any platform, so this idea that C# is only a microsoft thing is quickly evaporating, thanks to projects like monodevelop.

I would agree that python is a great language, but really, you just need to learn one in order to understand the concepts. When you are just starting out, one is just as good as the others. Once you understand the concepts, picking up another language is much easier.

Mount and Blade: Warband.

Seriously I cannot stress getting this game enough. It's $20 on Steam and I've had hundreds of hours of fun.

It feeds my hunger in gaming for a hand-to-hand medieval combat. You can level up your character, become a merchant, improve your armor, weapons, and horse, control an army, become a king of your own faction, and conquer all of your enemies, but you start out as a nobody and have to earn your right to rule in the world.

Check out the trailer: https://youtu.be/sX37QA9o-Co

If you're a graphics whore, then it might not be for you, because it is kind of an old game, but the second game of the series SHOULD be coming out soon with updated graphics.

With anticipation for the second game's release M&B II: Bannerlord, right now would be the perfect time to learn the controls and feel for the game if it is for you, because it has a very steep learning curve. I'm an avid gamer and it took me forever to learn how to not get taken as prisoner by bandits.

Here is a gameplay trailer for Bannerlord: https://youtu.be/LmX5DFgRBXk

After a decade of game, this is what I've come to as well. The other benefit is that it allows you to get out of your head and just enjoy life - even if you don't get a reaction/validation/whatever.

Just throw some chum in the water and if there's no bite, there's nothing more you can do.

Used Precision M6400 or M6500 should be able to handle all that. I play Minecraft and tf2 on my M6400. With some searching you should be able to find one for under 300 on Craigslist or eBay. Just make sure it's equipped with one of the better processors and graphics cards that were available for it.

Never.

Kind of a combination of fear of the legal/employment consequences, and never really hanging out with a crowd that was big into it. Now I'm 29, and just feel like I'm too old for it.

The Hobbit. I honestly think it's just the most perfectly balanced fairy tale/fantasy story. An ideally ironic hero, caught in a story so much bigger than themselves, yet they still have the most significant impact on the story out of any character, despite a real connection to the narrative of the story. I just love it.

When you think about it, there really is no point in doing anything besides having as much pleasure as possible in life. Probably you will die at 70 or 80 or even before. If you die before your spouse, you die knowing you are leaving them in grief and sadness with no way to console them. Even if you're lucky enough to live to 100, it's still such a brief period, and it goes faster the older you get.
