Personally i am rooting for Atomic Wallet Coin ($AWC), it has grown over 4000% since its inception three years ago. another thing is their staking. you can stake AWC and get up to 23%. This is more of a passive income path and good for long term. it also has a small market cap.  I will urge you to do your own research and invest accordingly.

Re: Stay away from centralized wallets

Coinbase is a very good platform and one of the most popular too but the centralized part is why I find it hard to use, I've had painful experience with Xapo wallet and till today the team aren't been helpful, the reason why the whole crypto space makes more sense is keeping funds yourself without any eye preying, decentralized wallets gives you complete freedom over that.

I agree with you, I have also had issues with these centralized wallets and finally switched to Atomic Wallet after doing a few hours of research. One issue I had with one centralized wallet was relating to scanning a QR code, I had a bad camera so I wasn't able to scan. On the contrary, wallets in which you have private keys are much easier to recover.

Re: Non custodial and custodial

As the terms suggest, custodial products are products that have someone acting as a trusted party that holds something valuable on behalf of others and the other way round for non-custodial. In the context of wallets, non-custodial wallets give users access to their private keys (PK). Literally, they have full control of their funds and their PK never leaves their devices. One widely used non-custodial wallet is Atomic Wallet, It supports multiple coins and they all have distinct private keys which can be easily retrieved

I personally look at some of these things when I invest in a project. AWC, the native token of Atomic Wallet happens to be my best investment so far and I been with the project for over 2 years. They have a great product and a massive number of users which has been growing substantially. It a multi-crypto wallet with staking support, buy crypto, and exchange. Their wallet has been designed to be easily used by all while ensuring maximum security. The native token is used in the ecosystem as affiliate rewards, membership program where users receive cashback whenever some of the services in the wallet. They have staking support for AWC with up to 23% APR. They offer one of the best customer support service and the CEO most often spend time with the community.

You could get yourself a hardware wallet which comes at a fee, however, you are assured of security, Alternatively, you can find other cool and secure mobile and desktop wallets. Atomic Wallet for instance decentralized and non-custodial. It supports huge lists of assets and has some useful features you might make use of once in a while. This includes an instant exchange allowing the exchange of BTC to other cryptos including stable coins, "buy crypto" option and staking support for most crypto assets

I believe easy of use should be accompanied by security. In order to drive adoption, crypto wallets should be designed in such a way that they can be appealing to first time users. I have used so many wallets in the past and for some, I had to uninstall them right after downloading. I have finally settled with Atomic Wallet because it supports multiple coins/tokens and it is non-custodial. I has one of the nicest UI with the latest having price charts for most of the assets.

Re: What are the risks of mobile wallets?
by
FOPL
on 06/10/2020, 22:00:42 UTC
The anticipated risks may vary depending on the wallet in consideration. Centralized wallet may have extended risks as compared to non-custodial wallet because there are other entities that can get compromised beside the user. A few I can think inclue losing you phone when you haven't properly backed up your private keys, keystore etc. I personally use Atomic Wallet on mobile and have my keystore backed up on Empass password manager. This is possible because Atomic Wallet is a non-custodial wallet and as such gives users full control of their funds.

You can loose your fund in course of sending funds but to a wrong recipient. An unauthorized pary ould get access to phone and transfer your fund. There are a whole lot of other risks.

centralized wallet or exchanges wallet actually safe if we set maximal security setting on our account, many account holder didnt care about their account security. meanwhile in dashboard we provided by many setting to secure our account, for example trading password , 2 factor authentification both in phone number or google auth. if we set these setting i am sure no one could hack our account cause we have multiply layer security.

I think you have a point but let's look at it from a different perspective. one typical issues is convenience. How are you going to feel when you have to go through stress (KYC) to access your own money? Situations like this can make you loose your find. These are some of the reasons why we always recommend non-cutodial solutions. I personally use Atomic Wallet and I can easily export my private keys and recover it on a different wallet. This is exactly what we call freedom

There are many sites that accepts crypto as payment option and you can also buy many things from marketplace on this forum using crypto.
You are right. Intuitions have taken off which has some how encouraged merchants to also consider accepting crypto payment. I know of some store that uses  NOWPayments merchants tools to allow customers to spend crypto in their online stores.

You will get a truckload of coins, however, it's up to you to decide which one you are going to throw your money into. Your picks should be influenced by fundamentals as your new. Look for good coins and buy & hold. This what I usually do and I use Atomic wallet for exchanging coins/tokens. I don't have to go outside the wallet, I exchange and hold my assets in the wallet.

Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold?
by
FOPL
on 08/09/2020, 19:01:24 UTC
I think it more of adoption. If people turn to understand and use crypto in their daily lives, crypto will become more valuable. What we are lacking now is merchants accepting crypto. We have a few buts we need the majority. I believe things will be better with payment platforms like NOWPayments working hard to help merchants in processing crypto payments.

I can vouch for https://www.cryptorefills.com/. It was the first provider I spent some bitcoins on gift cards. I don't know how many but they have a lot of gift cards and phone top ups also. Registration is optional but they seem to have KYC limits https://www.cryptorefills.com/blog/terms-and-conditions/. I don't see that they sell crypto to fiat. They accept bitcoin, ltc, dash.

Bitcoin and other digital assets is still at the infant stage and buying good and services is so limited. We hope in the near future, this will increase significantly when their is a mass adoption.

I believe it's about time we refuel crypto education. As we speak thee are tools are there for cryto integration. It is even easy to deploy a crypto payment system thanks to services like NowPayments. We need to encourage merchant to be using these service in addition to their regular payment methods. I will definitely use my crypto if there are merchants in my locality that accepts crypto

You can try changeNow instant exhange. It's a non custodial exchange that supports purchasing of crypto with fiat and crypto. You don't need to create account so no need for them to hold your funds. You can conveniently buy your favorite crypto with less stress as you were describing. You can purchase up to $20,000 with your bank card in day.

Re: HOW CAN I BECOME A BOUNTY HUNTER?

You basically need good project to participate in their bounty. All that is required from you is to follow the rules stipulated in the bounty thread and do your best. Social media campaigns don't pay much if you have a small followership. Best tip is to join signature, translation and content creation.

You should also look at the token allocation so you can make better decisions.

Re: Why can exchanges freeze account.

First of all, if you familiarize yourself with what can make them freeze your account you will have an idea of what to do to prevent that. Mostly it will have to do with violation of terms. Probably if they find your activities suspicious.

With regards to KYC almost all exchange require KYC for withdrawal of large amounts. You can trade and withdraw freely without having to pass KYC. I will recommend https://changenow.io/ which is an instant that requires no account creation and KYC making you exchange operations anonymous. You can exchange small amounts and there is no upper limits on exchanges.

I'm more into small-cap coins. I hold $AWC since 2018 and now the price has increased substantially. The reason why I'm still $AWC is because of their team and development. They have a nice wallet - Atomic wallet and gradually introducing new and interesting features. Another reason is AWC staking where you can get up to 23% apr on your staking depending on your holdings. It a cool and nice way to earn passive income with crypto

Secondly, I hold $NOW token. This is also a small-cap coin gradually growing. I think this token has a great future due to the team behind it. The team is behind the https://changenow.io/ instant exchange platform and have other products like the NOWnodes and nonpayment. I believe this is a long term holding as the team is working on addition new utility to the token.
