Will this campaign go into a second round or will it be closed after this months' payments have been made? I think it's a really nice and well paying campaign for a good product, as well!

Speculation will drive us even higher. People aren't satisfied with the prices we have these days. It's only natural to assume that the price will be pushed higher and higher by speculation. We don't need 'Willy' or 'Marcus' in order to attain a new ATH!

I think you could very well be a millionaire with 100 BTC. One thing you could try to do is trade the major waves, to increase your holdings even further - but please keep in mind that you may also lose your BTC very quickly by doing so.

Yeah could very well be. It remains to be seen what happens when we actually press through that barrier though. Some say it's best to immediately start shorting, while others say we'll see a quick move further up. I don't quite know where to put my money yet...

Speculation, mostly. Since last year it is possible to profit from falling prices (shorting) with new leveraged trading tools. This is what speculators have used as much as possible as long as the price was falling. Now we seem to have founds a bottom and thus it is more profitable to go the other way (up). I like it!

Alright... People start speculating that FC may be in for the death penalty if he indeed transferred AM assets (or alike) to RM or AMHASH in order to 'bleed the company out': https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=833704.msg10723045#msg10723045

Re: How do you invest your bitcoin?

I've really arrived at a point where I get the cries for regulation. This is just insane and while I like the trust less system of Bitcoin in its core, I'm now certain that this doesn't work in terms of funding a company and keeping the investors safe...

Wasn't this obvious from day one?  How can we have a global monetary system without regulations?  It wouldn't work.  The scammers would fleece everyone.  This way only the the govt and banks get to rob the people.  Wink

Well if I may chime in, I gotta say, AM had a pretty good run over the first year or so. They gave the investors 600% ROI, which can almost be described as 'unprecedented' I guess... You don't see that very often. Like, at all.

FWIW:
It seems a shame to let the BE300 go un-produced.
hello, BE300 project is still on going with the rest of AM team as I know. however ,since AM lost FC, a lot of decisions are probabaly hard to make.

Also FWIW:
have any of the AM board members spoken out?
please wait the upcoming statement from the board of AM.

Yeah all nice and well, but how is it supposed to be funded with FC (probably) having (the only!?) access to large amounts of AM's funds. Ask-side on Havelock doesn't seem to be going down... I guess we'll see dumps below the 0.01s... Might just take the chance and double my (presumably worthless) holdings ;(

Price crashing hard on Havelock... Do you think it's (Chinese!?) people knowing something we don't know yet or just the slowly onsetting realization that this thing is over?
your BTC spent to BTC mined ratio remains proportionate, miners are currently worth 1/10th of the original cost. it's simple math, no one is going to pay the same price when they first came out b/c the difficulty has increased 10x since then.

What does that even have to do with the potential future profits of a hardware manufacturer!? Sorry I cann't really follow this train of thought...

Highly interesting that people like rockxie actually *increased* their holdings in AM even late last year! That at least makes me feel not so stupid anymore - I mean they'd know if something was severely going down the drain there...

It can only go to zero, I guess... Or do you think Havelock indeed goes below 0??? That could mean we'd have to pay BTC for holding AM shares at some point! ;( It never ends...

how much money you lost in here? just a question because you are doint this so intense

250BTC

So you're still down 250 BTC or did you invest more? I mean AMHASH paid divs for 3 months or so, some people claim this accounts for 60% of the original investment!?

That was the original investment

So you're still down about 100 BTC now, approximately!? Man, I get why you're this upset about this.  It really is a disappointing situation...

Well, if you really want to take a gamble with potentially enormous profits, invest in ASICMiner now... But please keep in mind that the odds are that FC really disappeared (forcefully?!) and you won't see a single Satoshi ever again.

Once I get more info, I will inform you, stay tuned!

I almost can't believe that! I mean that guy worked practically day and night, how do you've still got time for your partner with such a time consuming kind of work? Well you never stop learning I guess.

We appreciate you chiming in on this matter. Please let us know if you hear something new. It's good to see that you are in friendly terms with the AM/ROCKMiner staff, even though you are competitors!

Am I reading that right?  It's either $1.25 per chip, or pay $200,000,000 and save $0.26 per chip?

I don't think it is $200M - that would be too much. I think $200k would be more realistic, maybe money needed for a second mask set or something. Or some sort of volume discount...

This dodgy auction https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=932445.msg10252285#msg10252285  was probably a final push for getting as much coin as possible before the exit.    Now we're getting fed bullshit from a number of other users as a cover up.

He could have easily made a lot more money by e.g. announcing BE300 miners with <0.2W/GH/s performance and taking mass pre-orders (resellers would have bought them).

Re: ASICMiner - Can anyone provide a simple summary of what happened?
by
FUR11
on 06/03/2015, 23:05:44 UTC
AMHash is a cloud mining project by ASICMiner. ASICMiner provided the hashrate and AMHASH did the day-to-day business.
A week ago we learned that in December 2014(!!!) all the mining equipment got stolen (allegedly). Apparently friedcat also disappeared 1.5 months ago, while on a trip to Mongolia (potentially making deals about a new mining farm). Some people say he was abducted/catnapped, some say he's still fine, some say he's being forced to transfer his private coins. Friedcat may or may not be in danger. He may or may not be giving a statement soon. He may or may not have run with all the funds.
AM offices are allegedly emptied, as well.

Oh and someone started the hunt for AMHASH's/ROCKMINER's rockxie and his friends & family.

I can't believe I'm actually experiencing this all...
