1.)As a matter of risk mitigation,if some government/non government  hackers cut of mining pools from network  through internet disruption
2.)Physical shutdown by fraud/insider work
3.)natural calamity like earthquake.

I also want to indicate to those who are new to Idena mining that its easy to mine Idena with a toggle switch once you are validated as at least Newbie.
But there is a catch..If you close your machine or client  without deactivating mining switch, you get penalty if you are  disconnected for more than  an hour.
