Re: Am i too late

once again the market is smiling upon everyone who has not yet invested in bitcoin and wanted to become a part of this community and hold some small stake in this scarce currency.
this smiling won't last for long though.

it is not too late, but still you have to invest what you can afford to lose. you can wait a little while to see when this dip is going to end before jumping in if you want to take risks, or you can just buy now since it is a dip.

Sorry,
it is not because I can afford to lose, that it is recommended to invest.
No you are not too late, Well, you might feel that since Bitcoin has surpassed $6K level, you are late but as far as I believe, I think everyone who is buying Bitcoin below $10K is an early adopter. I am considering Bitcoin as an investment for at least next 10 years and thus at this point, there is still opportunity for anyone who is willing to enter in Bitcoin. However, please do your own research before making any investment decision. You still have so many time so you better start now.

is now too late to invest on bitcoin ?

Certainly it is...to invest now...but not too late to invest soon
No you are not too late, Because you are looking on how much you lose based on its price right now compared to the price before.  For me as long as you have money, you should try to buy more bitcoin since there is an assurance that you will gain profit.  Any investment is a risk and that you just willing to try and lose the money you invested with. You can have so much money if you would start now.

Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset?
by
Faith Joy
on 19/11/2017, 13:24:03 UTC
Bitcoin’s very volatile prices have reignited the debate about its usefulness as a currency or as an asset. In some ways, Bitcoin suits the definition of currency quite adequately but if the volatility is less. It allows for the creation of secure and transparent transactions. Thus, can be used as a secondary currency in future. Some of the experts have huge concerns over its volatility. But, sooner or later the prices may remain less volatile as of today.

I have mentioned few points about Bitcoin as a currency or as an asset in my article here: https://atozforex.com/news/is-bitcoin-a-currency-or-asset/

What's your opinion about BTC as a currency or an asset?

Suggestions and comments appreciated  Smiley Wink

If you really want to know what's a asset and liability you should see Robert kioski rich dad vs poor bad, so to quote him and explain you asset is what brings you money and liability is what takes money out of your pocket, so your car house is a liability, you can't make money from it. You need to keep on investing. Now look at Bitcoins, you put money into it and it returns that money and also adds more money to your account so it's a hybrid it's a asset and it's a currency. That's how I would define it.
Bitcoin is both a currency and a asset, currently, in most countries we can't use Bitcoins directly to buy things either in any shops or online as well so I think as of now Bitcoin is only an asset or investment. If we need money then we need to sell the asset and use that money to buy other things. When we can buy things directly with bitcoins then we can consider it as a currency until that it is an asset. I know currently, we can use Bitcoins to buy some items online but still need to improve or grow a lot.

Re: Will Bitcoin drop during the upcoming Holidays?
by
Faith Joy
on 19/11/2017, 13:23:45 UTC
If the holiday could really affect the price, than the bitcoin has to raise. Similar to gasoline at the first day of holiday.
It will rise surely by Holiday, we might have a Christmas give, since Im planning to put my 13th month on btc, i think it was not only me whose planning it, more newbies might start on December too. to start there savings.
I think no, bitcoin will not drop during the upcoming holidays. Bitcoin will stay still, based on the price history of bitcoin, I don't think so. People would probably be selling some for the holidays, but expect some to buy too due to Christmas bonuses and such. If it were to rise or drop in price though, I believe it wouldn't be even a bit significant. Unless we receive new FUD on December though.

Re: What are your goals in 2018?
by
Faith Joy
on 19/11/2017, 13:16:20 UTC
I have been thinking of buying my own mining rig for this coming 2018 Because I really want to learn and earn about mining techniques, for now, I am testing 1 CPU and 1 GPU, if I got some earnings and extra cash from my pocket, will buy more powerful GPU'S this year or next year.

I have so many goals in 2018. That is a large number of goals. Everyone would want to get the best results and if given the opportunity then I have the desire to be able to get at least 5,000 $ per month. Currently I can earn about 2,000 $ each month from various actions I do. I want an increase in 2018 and I think this is enough reality to come true. I hope I can achieve that goals.

Re: Would you still buy Bitcoin?
by
Faith Joy
on 19/11/2017, 13:10:08 UTC
Of course, if you think it will increase, why not buy? Of course, it's not like buying at around the $5K level, but if it increases then you are still making money. I don't see any reason not to buy.

Yea you are right.Actually, i am planning to buy a bitcoin.Today's rate is 7830 USD, is there is any chance to down the price?

That's one more thing. There's definitely a chance that the price will go back down, whether or not it'd be a dip or a crash, but there's no guarantee as no one really knows with 100% certainty what will happen in the markets; unless you're like some sort of crypto-Nostradamus.

If you're planning on holding longterm, then the 7830 price point is good enough. Short term investing is a whole other topic.
Yes I would still buy bitcoin, because I believe that this would really help me in so many things. Everyone has to make that decision for themselves. No advice will not help you. In order to use bitcoin you need internal beliefs. Bitcoin is not just currency. Bitcoin is the ideology of building a new free society and a just economy. Therefore, each must decide for yourself alone and the price of bitcoin is irrelevant. The price is a bonus. The prize is freedom.

Re: Who is selling Bitcoin?
by
Faith Joy
on 19/11/2017, 13:04:03 UTC
Everyone in here is desperate to convince each other the Bitcoin can only go up and therefore you have to buy and hold.

But when you buy Bitcoin, someone is selling it to you.

Why are people selling Bitcoin?

The knowledgeable people are the ones who are now slowly selling out before the bubble bursts. When you are now buying more and more Bitcoin ("investing" as people in here call it) who do you think you are buying them from?

You are buying from the knowledgeable people who are slowly getting rid of their Bitcoin.
There are so many people who are selling bitcoin. Because even though no matter how bullish you are on bitcoin, some people are still going to need fiat; probably to pay for bills, to buy random stuff, to pay for some sort of emergency, because they are short on fiat, those stuff. Deal with it, bitcoin isn't used enough(especially in 3rd world countries) that you can live with bitcoin alone. We still currently need fiat to pay most stuff. They are really earning so much in selling bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin does not have limited supply
by
Faith Joy
on 19/11/2017, 12:58:53 UTC
I think you do not understand how it works. Hardfork does not alter the maximum supply of bitcoin, it just creates an altcoin based on the current blockchain. But bitcoin will still have 21M maximum supply. If ever the hardforked coin survives, it is just an altcoin and will compete with bitcoin on the market.
Yes bitcoin really does not have limited supply. The argument is again and again that the value of Bitcoin will increase because supply is limited to 21 million. But this is quite simply wrong. Every time Bitcoin is forked that is in real terms an expansion of the Bitcoin currency beyond 21 million. To some degree the same is true of alternative crypto currencies which will flood the market. There is already more than 1000 cryptocurrencies . Bitcoin is really successful.

Re: Easy way to explain and teach Bitcoin
by
Faith Joy
on 16/11/2017, 14:33:44 UTC
I think so, bring the BTC closer in life. The simpler the closer the stimulus is to learn, when the passion is self will study passionately.
There are so many ways to explain and teach about bitcoin. I believe that the easiest way to get a person to give your his attention when you want to explain bitcoin to him is to mention the money first. Make him believe he can get paid later when he starts working and you get his full attention. It's the same way I used it when I introduced bitcoin to a friend of mine. Then you start explaining the basic rules and information like the value of bitcoin and the use of bitcoin. It all comes easy if he wants to really learn. The most important thing is how to make him want to be a part of bitcoin community. It is simple to reach people about bitcoin because many people already tested that bitcoin is really legit.

Re: Worried about btc future
by
Faith Joy
on 16/11/2017, 14:26:35 UTC
I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.

With your second point:

It seems like more people regardless of the amount of splits end up depending on Bitcoin anyway. We can tell this by the amount of people who quickly dumped their Bitcoin cash instantly to get more Bitcoin. Furthermore, the support of the splits aren't as widespread as the support of Bitcoin itself.
You need not to worry about the future of the bitcoin. If bitcoin does not survive I do not see any other currency taking bitcoin place, so if you want to get out of bitcoin I will suggest to get out of cryptocurrencies completely, and about the hard forks it is very obvious the forks are not being created to solve anything, it is just an attempt to make money with bitcoin’s name and at the same time to attack bitcoin and see if people fall and accept one of these awful coins as the new dominant coin. Bitcoin's future is really so successful.

Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future!

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/bitcoin-millionaire-erik-finman-says-going-to-college-isnt-worth-it.html

Have you heard of the story of a 12 year old kid who wagered with his mom that if he will be a millionaire at age 18 he will not go to college. To his mothers surprise he is now a millionaire and never went to college. His secret he bought bitcoin at 12$ with a 1000 $ gift from his grandmother.

If we also dream of getting rich in the future it is now time to invest in bitcoins. Many said that we will be experiencing bubbles more often, that is true but we have survived it and still bitcoin keeps moving on.

If we want to get rich invest in bitcoins today. The price of bitcoin today is at 2600$ and moving up but imagine its value 5 to 10 years from now.
Yes you should invest in bitcoins today and expect to be a millionaire in the future. Surely you will be.  can say yes if there will be no problem in bitcoin like scam or getting new technology better than bitcoin i can say that absolutely you can become a millionaire in the future bitcoin will continue increasing it price in the future but today your going to need a big amount of money to invest because 1 bitcoin already cause almost 3000$ and your gonna need a lot of volume.

Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old?
by

What would you guys advise someone who is retired, living off pension and savings? Is it too late/risky to invest at that kind of age?
Do you guys think the elderly have a chance of jumping on the crypto train, or do you guys think it's too late for them to invest?

No it is not too late to invest in cryptos if you are old.I dont think it is too late for them to know about bitcoin. However, I think it is so hard for them to understand about it. I dont know, but I found my father who is 75 years old has trouble in understanding what is bitcoin and how it works. Maybe some old people can understand it very well. There is no age limit in bitcoin, everyone is welcome to join.

these koreans trying there best to pump BCH.

Do Not Sell BTC, and avoid doing transition for few hours

good luck for solo miners

Give Me Your TXN ID i may be able to accelerate it
Even bitcoin is under attack it keeps on being strong. This is what is killing bitcoin and ethereum could replace bitcoin's market cap.  The uncertainty of bitcoin or bitcoin cash as the replacement has miners going from verifying bitcoins to bitcoin cash, and it is creating a spike in bitcoin cash's price.  I thought that bitcoin would be her to stay, which is more than likely, but it shouldn't have to worry about bitcoin cash taking over a majority of miners while bitcoin is waiting for transactions to clear. Bitcoin is as strong as a money currency nowadays.

Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die?
by
Faith Joy
on 16/11/2017, 13:22:58 UTC
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
There is no situation that bitcoin would die. If everyone stops using it or if in some way becomes wothless, these are the two situations I think of that could make bitcoin die. But I don't know what could cause something like this, people get used to bitcoin and all benefits that it gives and demand is geting biger all the time. Bitcoin is really successful that people would really support the bitcoin.

C'mon... Bitcoin is still in diapers, let it spread a bit further among the people for the next 10 years and you will see a more educated society on this matter.
Yes I am really a true believer. Sad to know the truth but the thing you are saying on here is the truth on which most people do really see Bitcoin as a form of investment not really on its main purpose but well we cant blame them or even ourselves to engage such thing because no people doesn't really like to have money or earn money on bitcoin. This is really the advantage or goodness why bitcoin is popular. It is a new way payment system and at the same time a money making opportunity. It is so nice and helpful to be a believer of bitcoin.

Re: How Can We Make Sure Bitcoin Never Ends?
by
Faith Joy
on 15/11/2017, 15:48:26 UTC
Some people like the Brazil Central Bank Chief called Bitcoin a Bubble & Pyramid Scheme, how can the bitcoin industry prove this wrong and make sure bitcoin never ends but grows bigger?

To be honest, no one in this world can do anything to assure you that bitcoin or the whole cryoto world will never ever end. That's just how it is.

Bitcoin does not need to prove anything that it has already proven. Let them talk and talk about all sorts of bullshit asich as they want. They will be the ones stressed out while we, the crypto people enjoy the perks of being in the crypto world laughing at their insecured and jealous faces.

So don't be so worried about them. They don't matter. What matters is what we do.
We can make sure that bitcoin never ends because bitcoin was already supported by so many big people, Those kind of statements come from the 1% that sees how bitcoin might actually be a problem to be deal with in the future. They feel desperate, threatened by how massive the acceptance of bitcoin has been in the world, and their clients are starting to wonder if they should keep paying taxes to the banks rather taking most of the fiat and invest in bitcoin. There's nothing to prove, BTC is here to stay, and for a long time, the growth we've seen this year will be nothing compared to 2018, and get readt to see a lot more of the same comments. It is so much successful.

  • Bitcoin back on track again to its previous level of 7k let cross our legs and see  what will happen to (BCH)
If bitcoin goes back to $ 7000 I think bitcoincash will return to its pig trough ~ $ 500 maybe ~ $ 300.
Bitcoins price always recovery and going moon. Even last week was fall to $6,000, but now been back $7,000
Bitcoincash like another rubbish, it will be left by investment and down to undervalue.
Talking about price bitcoincash, i think before end year it will down to $300.
The return of bitcoin is so very near from now. The more convinced that the other coins are just rubbish, they do a big pump then throw it away. This is like the disappointment of the holders of Bitcoin, they wait b2x and BTG then canceled and they ran kissing BCH.

Re: Sell BTC and buy Bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash will replace old bitcoin chain
by
Faith Joy
on 12/11/2017, 15:10:56 UTC
The current bitcoin chain is being dumped by its community. There are 150,000 unconfirmed transactions! The BTC hash power continues to fall. It is in trouble.

Everyone is buying Bitcoin cash in the States and western countries. The Japanese and South Koreans are onto it a well.

The miners in China favour the bitcoin cash chain as well. They will go for the chain that gets them the most money.

Sell your bitcoin now and buy bitcoin cash before its too late.
Yes you can sell bitcoin and buy bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash will replace old bitcoin chain. Its true people are buying into Bitcoin Cash but if the information on Coin Market Cap is correct, its dominated by KRW indicating new money, its not so heavily USD or Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is not being sold off into Bitcoin Cash so much.  No reason not to live in parallel, like so many other crypto have done.

Re: At what price are you going to start buying bitcoin again?
by
Faith Joy
on 12/11/2017, 15:03:33 UTC
I had a limit order in at $5520 but I've just taken it off because the price is falling so quickly.   I want to increase my stash of BTC but want to be able to buy as much as possible.

If it goes through $5000 I think it could well go to 4300
I would buy bitcoin at a price that is high and going to start buying bitcoin. Just don't buy because the price is falling however just wait until the bottom. You can buy bitcoin again after the price decrease stop and it indicate an uptrend. If you buy at, let us say $5520 and the price still decreasing you will money for sure. Unlike if you buy at uptrend. It would be helpful to me I know.
