Re: What happens when bitcoin becomes stable?
by

When bitcoin becomes stable, there will be less investors who will will be interested in investing bitcoin. I think it's the volatility of bitcoin's price  that makes investors interested in investing bitcoin.

That's an absolute truth. BUT: Less volatility -> less traders -> less volume -> easy to manipulate by moving price across low volumes -> more volatility  Grin

The price of bitcoin has not shown any significant rise or drop for almost two months now. What do you think could be the cause. Or do you think at long last bitcoin is going to be stable.

Btc will never become stable. Even gold is not stable enough. That's just not possible, especially considering the easiness of manipulation.

Re: What do you want to see for Bitcoin - A stable or a volatile market?
by

I will choose the stable price of bitcoin mate but not this current price of bitcoin. If the right time will come that bitcoin will be back to its all time high  thats the time i consider the price to be stable. And for now, i rather choose only the volatility of bitcoin and other coins in the market.

haha. Then what about the people who will not have bought btc before it's fixed at its ATH? What would be their additional motivation to buy? I prefer a volatile market with uptrends and downtrends. I would choose the cycles to be shorter, but that's also impossible.

I understand, in such of this conditions there will certainly be a lot of negative speculation. But I don't think it's possible for btc to die, almost all corners of the world are familiar with bitcoin. There are even some countries that have legalized it. I believe, everything will improve again.

We're in the bear market, so it may seem to be the end only for inexperienced. People that are already for a few years there know that btc will pass this test of time and rise again.

Re: Are the banks going to kick-out bitcoin with their new digital coin
by

Yes, that's possible! Moreover, banks can buy already existing projects. Moreover, they can do a lot of things behind the scenes that ordinary investors don't know and don't take into account when making their purchase decisions.

Lost your hope?

Wanna quit?

No more HODL?

2018 is the ultimate patience game. Don't feed the whales...

Agree with that. However, the first half of 2019 may be the continuation of 2018, and the warm-up will happen only in the mid or the end of 2019. The worst scenario assumes the next bull run start in 2020.

This is just another push down the lane. I think why the so much shout is because the coin was expected to rise because of the season we are. Thus, the drop is momentarily for now .

Yeah, it seems seasonality isn't an argument. According to seasonality, alts may start a bull run if btc finds a stable price, but that's hasn't happened so far. I was expected alt season to start these months, but at the moment this doesn't happen. Hope to see alts growing soon, as many of them already lost more than 90% from ath.

Re: BTC is falling !!

There is no concern for me about the current decline in BTC prices, because I see it as a sign that prices will rise again, so the long wait since the beginning of 2018 will probably end soon, and we will be happy with the bitcoin price increase that I think will soon be happening at the end of this year. The most important part that must be understood together is that in investment there is always a decrease in prices, and in the end it will be followed by an increase in prices, so the main principle is patience in waiting for the BTC price to rise and remain calm in facing the current downturn.

Agree with most of your points, except for the bear market end deadline. I would bet rather on the end of 2019.

I think it'll be recovering soon. For all the time I'd prefer to look positive rather than pessimism. This market is not a simple market to disappear.

Crypto market will not disappear for a simple reason that people want to make money, and crypto is by far the simplest and most affordable way to do it. So we just must be patient to withstand the storm. Note, it won't end tomorrow or the next week or the next month. At least a year of patience will be rewarded.

yes for sure, definitely it's not yet the end for bitcoin. we should remember that bitcoin is the most popular coin as it is the most valuable coin in the market, and also the most volume coin in terms of supply. so, don't worry now just wait patiently guys! its not the end of bitcoin as we think it's primary price was at 0.1$ and that's too far for it's price now.

The speculations around btc always change, but the market cycles remain quite clear so far. We must rather walk through the dark while being guided by the logic of market cycles than new&shilling.

I looked at the Coinmarket Cap today and almost all of the top 100 Crypto Currency has fallen! All I can see is that fight after the collapse is TrueUSD, USDcoin and Nasda coin. It's definitely hard to recover from this downturn but we just wait for it because I'm sure that the price of bitcoin and other altcoin will rise again and we can recover from our losses.

The market will recover, but we are now to way far from the next bull market. Patience is king.

bitcoin is already accepted in all over the world, bitcoin is using in many companies so there is no need to adopt more.

Hmm...what about people without any tech knowledge? In America, about 80% of people heard about btc...but what about the actual usage? Let alone underdeveloped countries. There's a big big room for adoption.

Not only the bitcoin prices are falling all the top 100 cryptocurrencies are falling! (with the exception of USD coin, TrueUSD and Paxos Standard Token). Are we seeing the beginning of the end of bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies?... The people are losing a lot of money they are panicking and scared. What this could be all about?

Take a quick look at https://coinmarketcap.com/ and watch for yourself how the top 100 are falling and tell me what you think

I think that it's totally normal. Have you ever seen the btc cycles? Do you understand at which point we are in now? Examine these to get a clear answer if everything goes as it planned.

P.S. Yes, everything goes fine, at least so far.

Btc is definitely not a scam, although fraud is possible in the blockchain field. However, btc is a great investment opportunity, especially now, when the price is close to the bottom.

$5700 is the mark that was predicted by many, as well as 4700 and even 4300. However, it depends on how sharply we will go down. The more stretched in time it gets, the lower the fall. Probably, the fall to 4700 will be the final one. 4300 is also possible, but again, depends on whether we will be able to get there pretty fast or not.

5700 is a logical price that will likely be followed by 5300 and 4700. That's okay - we are in a bear market now.

Well i believe BREXIT will and is creating more bitcoin adoption in the U.K
BREXIT is creating an uncertain future and i believe a lit of people are putting
some wealth into Bitcoin and crypto. Im not surprised by the thread title
even without anything to back it up.

Indeed, btc is a tool to hedge risks or taking your chance. People are looking toward btc in weak countries, as they want to leave poverty behind.

Best advice of the day : don't tell to anyone that you have this amount of BTC and protect yourself with cold storage

Haha, great point! And gradually cash your btc out during the next bull run.
