Re: Where do you see bitcoin in 10 years
by

Didn't satoshi himself say something along the lines of that bitcoin would either be mass adopted or bust within ten years?

He gave it twenty years. That's a more sensible time frame. I think we'll have a pretty strong idea which way it's headed long before then.

He gave it twenty years before it collapse ? Consireding that we're already at the 6th year and soon at the 7th, this is not a good info Sad... I hope he was wrong !

No he said it will be either a big sucess or bust but that was just his speculation and his is as good as anybody elses as nobody is a fortune teller. Personally I have no idea where it'll be in one or two years never mind ten or 20 but that's part of the fun.

Re: General Football Discussion - 2015/16 Season

Next FIFA CHIEF Ronaldo?

I saw the debacle, and the confusion among the sponsors. it's quite sad to see a sport being trashed.

Solution:

Quote
Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima (locally: [ʁoˈnawðu ˈlwiʒ nɐˈzaɾju dʒ ˈɫĩmɐ]; born 18 September 1976[2]) commonly known as Ronaldo, is a retired Brazilian footballer. Popularly dubbed "the phenomenon", he is considered by experts and fans to be one of the greatest football players of all time.

100% agreement? (the christiano has manicure, and the "messi" is too small, the zidane... too violent Cheesy).

so opinions? it's about the great next event... Sad

it would be great to see him i loved him as player but injuries did the job for him at end of carrier

No way. Ronaldo was a great player but I'm not sure I'd trust him to be in charge of Fifa. I think FIFA does need an ex player but preferably one with some great managerial experience. No more shady business men getting involved just for the love of money and not the game.

Their next game is against Arsenal. I do believe Arsenal has a better team and better overal quality. If Utd can beat Arsenal with effective football then they will have a decent chance to win the BPL. Chelsea is pure trash at the moment. If they don't get over these bad results, they will probably have another bad weekend next week against Southampton. We'll see.

I don't think arsenal are that strong a team really but neither are United. I was expecting arsenal to struggle against Leicester but they surprised. None of the big teams have impressed this season really. I'd prefer an underdog like West Ham, Palace or Leicester to do well personally.

Re: what is price of 3gold,4gold and 5 gold member account
by
Fat Ronaldo
on 28/09/2015, 08:38:43 UTC

It says my account is worth 0.54 BTC.  Sad

I'm only worth 0.45864000. But I am classed as excellent so that makes up for that particular slap in the face.

Would I let myself go for that? Hell no.

These price estimators are clearly inaccurate. A Legendary account would likely fetch near or over 1btc I reckon. They are rarely sold though.

Yes, the prices are on the low side! The last I checked, I was worth 0.28 BTCs. I wouldn't give my account for 0.28. I am sure you wouldn't give yours either for 0.54. Smiley

It is a nice try though, to try and make such an estimator!

Seniors seems to be worth around 0.2 so not far off, but you are nearly a Hero and they seem to go for 0.5 ish.

There are a couple of websites that you can book this sort of stuff though. Can't remember them off the top of my head but I have them bookmarked somewhere. If you can't find one it might be easier for you to just sell the coins and pay for the rental that way. Or maybe contact the place directly and try get them to accept bitcoins and do your bit for adoption  Cheesy.

Wouldn't this network run much smoother and be more fun if anyone could mine? I mean it's nerds like us that will keep this network running. So shouldn't nerds like us be rewarded for playing a role?

I don't think it would run smoother but it would be fairer if anyone could mine but that's just not possible any more due to how bitcoin was set up and that's a shame to be honest.

Hello everybody,
I made an account because I would like some opinions on Bitcoin and if I sould invest in it or in other cryptocurrencies.
I can invest enough money (up to 5k) in equipment or cloud mining. Mind that my country has pretty high electricity cost thus buying
my own machines is not going to be any proffitable. Should I try cloud mining and if so, which company do you sugget?
Or maybe I just shouldn't invest in Bitcoin at all?  Huh

I'd really appreciate your feedback,
John

Only you can make up your mind whether to invest. I'd stay away from cloud mining though and just biuy bitcoins and they should or could be a great investment themselves over time but nothing is guranteed. Do your own research and make your own mind on what you want to do but the decision is yours.

by

I don't see how world peace would ever be achieved so I certainly don't think bitcoin will achieve that, but it certainly has potential to liberate a lot of people from economic slavery or at least save them a lot of money that otherwise would go to banks and extortionate payment processors.

Now we got crypocurrency, e-banking, e-money, and such. While fiat money is also in the verge of collapse, i think gold will fall faster eventually.

There might be a case to be made that the more abstract finance becomes, the more important it is that there's something with value that stands completely outside it.

As long as central banks and governments exist there'll be some sort of place for gold even if the public has zero desire. The next few decades will be a pretty surreal ride whatever happens.

Yes but ethereal money has also benefits, that are very attractive let's see:

-Civil forfeiture immune
-Semi-anonymous (your medical purchases, and kinky sex toy purchases are anonymous)
-Ultra fast transfer speed
-Ultra low transfer cost
-Bail-out & Bail-in immune
-Secure
-3rd party risk eliminated (unless you are stupid enough to keep all your btc in an online wallet)
-Opens up now Earning Money Opportunities
-New jobs, and new business opportunities
-Immaterial & easy to carry & no security/storage cost
-CAPITAL & BORDER CONTROL IMMUNE
-CENTRAL BANK MONEY PRINTING SCAM IMMUNE
-NO RACIAL,SEXUAL,RELIGIOUS, OR OTHER DISCRIMINATION HERE

ETC.

Now you see gold is very primitive VS these aspects.

Bitcoin is far superior as a currency in every single aspect and for these exact reasons, though gold has intrinsic value as a precious metal and could - depending how well or bad bitcoin does - hold its value longer. I would still prefer to take the chance with bitcoin though as  I think bitcoin will become worth more than gold again in the near future.

I prefer bitcoin all the way. Much better as a currency and payment network.

Bitcoin, absolutely. Bitcoin will be the next payment system and will rise much more. Gold as payment system is old school idea but its important for industry.

But bitcoin isn't guaranteed. Something better could come along. Nobody uses gold as a payment or currency system any more but it has other much more valuable uses (jewelry etc).

I would buy gold to play it safe.

There's no excitement in playing it safe. Might as well just stick in cash rather than gold. Bitcoin has far greater potential for gains in my opinion. Just look at the 20% price increase recently. Could have sold for quite a profit.

My prediction is Argentina win but it will be a hard game. Messi or Di Maria scores one goal and they win the trophy.

I think they will win with at least three goals scored. Messi Di Maria & Aguero. Will be a great game nevertheless.

Payments take long? They're instant. Sometimes I think the people who ask this question have never actually sent bitcoins themselves.

Dope Coin is the best name for a Marijuana user.

Bitcoin is the dopest coin of them all in my opinion  Grin. Does anyone know if any dispensaries have actually started accepting any of these cannabis coins or indeed bitcoin at all?

Out of interest how much are you wanting for it? Can't youtube accounts just be restored to their previous owner as well? I'm guessing its not that hard to do if you have the original account details.

Gold is way better investment. Gold can be used to make jewelries and other stuffs and you can show off but can't do much with bitcoins. If the matter is of price rise, both need patience. We can't predict how will prices vary in future.
Hahahahaha Why are you continuing reply/post to the other person ? if bitcoin waste your time bitcoin is also wasting time for you because you join in this community because you want and no one force you to join this and dont blame bitcoin for wasting your time

He's probably just trolling but I think bitcoin is a much better investment and also a far superior currency. True, gold has intrinsic value but you can't really use it to buy things nor can you send it around the world in seconds. It has it's use as jewelry etc but who really cares about having gold jewelry?
