I don't post often, but i wanted to say:

1. Thanks to Synechist for being the most level-headed community guy ever. Fanning down the flames of FUD and worry. Many would rise up to all the personal attacks, but he's the bigger person here.

2. The xnode news is amazing, can't wait to try it out on main-net. Good work devs!

Hey man, the site is down for maintenance at the moment, but i've just changed my rigs from Scrypt-N to X11. I assume they'll stay as "rentable" until i can change this in the morning? Hopefully nobody hires them out, or they'll be a bit unhappy when their coin is unmineable...  Grin

Is there any way around this problem in future, just so i know for next time, aside from simply not changing my rigs when i want/need to? Only way i see is if i block it temporarily via the API port or something similar, which will make my uptime % plummet, but i see no other solution.  Undecided

So i moved my GNS to CryptoRush a few days ago and the next day it was offline for maintenance, and still is. Have they fallen out the with the devs or just stolen all the GNS to make up for their big BTC loss last week?

Sorry. I should have said you can just remove the 89.212.242.33.

Try it once more without that maybe.

D'oh, in my mind the 89. IP was the new one, that's why i left it at the front. Cheesy

This worked, thanks for your help buddy.

It should be P:89.212.242.33,23.236.58.114,W:127.0.0.1

My example:

"api-allow" : "P:23.236.58.114,89.212.242.33,W:127.0.0.1",
"api-groups" : "P:switchpool:addpool:removepool:restart:save:*",

Before i just had it as "W:89.212.242.33,127.0.0.1" and it worked without issue. I'm not sure whether to try this and risk another complaint, or just use LRP. D:

Edit - Actually maybe it worked this way because the LR IP was the first after the "W:". I will give your suggestion a try after all.

Cheers.

You are using this:

-api-groups P:switchpool:addpool:removepool:restart:save:* --api-listen --api-allow W:89.212.242.33,23.236.58.114,127.0.0.1 --api-port 7777

Either change them both to P or W.

W gives full api access

P just gives you whatever commands you denoted after it.

P is the safe bet. Not sure why it worked fine for you before but it is most likely your issue now.

I've now tested:
"P:switchpool:addpool:removepool:restart:save:* --api-allow P:89.212.242.33,23.236.58.114,W:127.0.0.1"
""P:switchpool:addpool:removepool:restart:save:* --api-allow P:89.212.242.33,23.236.58.114,127.0.0.1"

... and it fails to switch pools with either config. I restart my miner after each change.

Any more ideas? If not i will just configure LRP sometime this week i guess.

I have added the new IP to the API allow part of my config, but when people rent from me i get a mail telling me their pool could not be changed.

When i log in to the rig, it seems they DID manage to change their pool the first couple of times this happened, but now a customer emailed me telling me he couldn't change pools and wanted a refund. Here's my API settings:

--api-groups P:switchpool:addpool:removepool:restart:save:* --api-listen --api-allow W:89.212.242.33,23.236.58.114,127.0.0.1 --api-port 7777

Any idea what the problem could be? It can't be a firewall or anything i'm sure, as i never had to allow anything extra for the previous LeaseRigs address.

Do you have a solution, or should i just switch to using LeaseRigProxy?

Cheers.

which pool ? did you try catc.suprnova.cc too ?

I tried HashFever and Poolerino. 100% stale from both, i think because i'm using Vertminer but the algo seems to be Scrypt? Can anyone confirm?

3k blocks already?

Something doesn't seem right.

See my previous post... the first post in this thread says Scrypt N, but the pools "Getting Started" pages all point to it being a regular Scrypt coin. I don't get it... was the plan/algo changed?

Is Vertminer OK for this coin? I'm using the same setup as any other N factor coin and i'm getting 100% stales from 2 different pools.

Edit - Wait, the first post says Scrypt N... but pools say use CGminer.. so, regular Scrypt? Did i miss some change/announcement?

It makes no sense to keep bumping this thread, just follow us on twitter @DougCurrency or facebook.com/DougCurrency. I will post on here with major updates to a service or the wallet.

But... this is pretty much the main crypto-community. Why would you try to fragment people across social media platforms that not everyone uses? If you ignore this thread you might as well just cease development, because you will lose you main chance at exposure. Look at how many pages popular coins have on their threads... other devs would never dream of leaving their thread to die. It makes no sense.

I don't want to dump at 1 satoshi, but if you ignore this thread then we'll never get Doug to rise above that value. We already have barely any trading volume.

Can one of you feedback www.cryptorush.in what's the latest situation with this exchange.
Is there out there still unhappy people with this exchange, so can i get it back to my OP exchange list?

It doesn't look like they are in a healthy position, i wouldn't trade there now - http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2014/03/26/cryptorush-support-worker-leaks-inside-info/

This is in addition to the Blackcoin problems a few days ago. No way am i going back there.

Also good to know scrypt-n uses LESS power, thanks for clearing up confusion.

Does it really though? I have a power monitor on the cable that powers my 2 rigs, and they seem to pull the same 2300w from the wall, no matter whether i do Scrypt or N Factor.

Hi guys, I want to present my proposal for the logo design bounty. Feedback is of course appreciated. I hope you like it!
I like what you got going there but it looks like the swastika.  I'd suggest trying a round frame instead a square one.  Colors look awesome.

Being honest I don't see the swastika, but if you all see it... it might be me. Here you have a logo version with the circle shape. What do you think?

Real nice man. In the first image you posted i IMMEDIATELY saw a Swastika, but didn't say anything in case people thought i was just a loony. Glad it wasn't just me.   Grin

It also helps when you flip it horizontally, imo. But i still prefer the new circular version, personally. Edit-  Now i see them side by side, no, i actually prefer the square.   Tongue

This.

It's like most miners don't understand basic maths. They keep thinking "durr if we make less coins, it's worth more''... well, no, it doesn't really work that way right now. You're just making it an IPO'ers dream market. Derp.

It is because of the IPO that you will have a chance to sell your freshly mined HVC at decent rates to begin with...  why would you want a devaluation to take place?!?!?    Huh

OK, apoligies for the "derp" comment. I've had a few beers so maybe my brain is being a little "off" right now.

The way i see it is, if we vote low right now, there's less coins on the market. Coins are near-impossible to get yet, due to only solo-mining being available. This means there's less coins on the market, less competition for the IPO'ers who are practically the only ones able to trade so far (aside from a handful of lucky miners).

Whereas if we vote HIGH, those "lucky" ones will bring more coins to the market and dilute the IPO-lead market. Though either way, i believe that low or high won't matter in the long run, unless we are swinging it back and forth weekly/monthly to our advantage. My 'vote high' is just my reasoning for the present time. Kind of in line with the guy above who said "first let's get more coins"... just my thoughts on how to bring the market in to a more miner-favouring state.

As i said, i've been hitting the beers, so i freely admit that my logic may be flawed right now. In which case, feel free to educate me.  Tongue

Next:     742HVC  (averaged 292 votes)

Vote lower people...  and sit on your hands too...  SERIOUSLY!    Cool

Voting 1

A low vote means that the IPO investors will make more profit and the miner less.

No... Just no!
My vote is 1024.

This.

This thread has just devolved into what I believe is given the term, "shitposting"....

Nope. this thread has developed into what happens when you blatantly lie to people and walk away with their money. I give it about 15 more minutes before IPO investors start asking for refunds. The failed launch shows a lack of professionalism and a lack of proper testing and debugging prior to launch.

Now excuse me while I visit the bathroom and take a HEAVY shit....

Hopefully it doesn't take more than an hour to come out...  Grin
