I haven't received anything in my wallet -  List 1

Please CfB, process the claiming, David is way too slow it's insane.

I talked to David today regarding this very case. He said he would process the claims if I did his work related to follow-up for a couple of corporations from Top 20.

You would be the hero for the last 50 List-1-Claimers

There is also another small list of 12 which CfB will be the hero !

Hi fellow victims of CryptoKnightt.

For record purposes to to grasp exactly how much was scammed of us, I am making a list of us. Please see here-

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1440112.msg15588280#msg15588280

Also, for a similar list but for Child_Harold (thanks to CarlGraph) see here-

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nI950VU2V6teg1GO8aS1bcAWYpqDYXnWug8VQevzKck/edit#gid=0

Hey so do I need to provide a wallet address?? this document can be edited by anyone I think it is important we can confirm the addresses before @iotatoken compeltes the transacs. Once again, awesome work from the iota community looking forward getting on board I think the future for iota is very interesting Smiley

CH scam victims;
It is important that we understand @iotatoken would be in a very busy period before launch and the CH issue would not be a top priority right now. It is our duty to be grateful to the devs for the consideration taken when making the decision to right these wrongs. We have established a list of over 16 people that have been scammed and the best we can do is make sure we have the steps in place to make this an easy issue to resolve.

@iotatoken I have 2 questions;

1. What do we need to have ready in order to complete the transactions other than txids and proof of transaction?
2. What date will these transactions be completed?

hope this is not to much trouble it would be great to have steps in place to resolve this before launch.

any help much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

FT

@iotatoken has made a final decision, awesome everyone should appreciate there a lot of tasks to be done so lets move on. I agree @litcoin collector seems to be the only one still defending CH but i am done with hearing this name, there is a matter of days until launch and I am looking forward to see what awesome work has been done by the iota team ..

I have decided that we will freeze CH's account for a month, if he comes back in the meantime and clears everything up and makes good on his promises that's fine, if not we will complete the trades on his behalf.

Whether his abscence is because he's a scammer or something occured in his life is quite irrelevant, what we do know is that he took the effort to delete all his accounts, meaning he did not just fall into a coma or was forcibly admitted to a mental asylum, it was a deliberative and conscious decision on his part, while he was 100% aware of the fact that he had a lot of pending trades. CH was always a troll and instigator of drama, I am whole-heartedly convinced that he does not care at all about IOTA, he cares soley about his own potential for profit and executed what seems to be a scam on the naive and inexperienced in order to achieve the biggest amount of profit he could get, then he decided to vanish.

This decision is made due to the fact that we want as many good active people in IOTA as possible, and it seems he got a long list of victims. I expect these people to be active contributors to the IOTA ecosystem.

As for those worried about legal issues, CH is welcome to try to take legal action on a refunded software sale here in Norway if he feels he has a case ( he does not ).

And those who bring up the tired argument of decentralization vs centralization: IOTA hasn't been released yet, thus it's not decentralized yet, it's a moot point. After IOTA is live it will permanently be impossible for us to alter anything, this is 'written in code'.

Finally to those talking about the PRINCIPLE, I will repeat once more; IOTA is a distributed ledger project focused on achieving a tech standard in Internet-of-Things and other areas that require a scalable, flexible ledger with no fees, it's decentralized as a necessity of this economy being trustless, but it's not some anarcho-capitalist movement about principles, if you want that I suggest Bitcoin.

Its your decision, but i don't understand why you made the problems of stupid people to yours. You are often very rude to the people here in the forum and in this case you are the good samaritan.

I think this the best outcome @iotatoken thanks for being considerate to the newer users who i don't think are stupid, just naive to how it all works. This shows that you have the users best interests in mind and is a great way of showing your intentions to do right by us. I look forward to the launch.
Kind Regards,
FT

The only way I see it what could be done is setting up a Fund and donate as a community, don't know if it would fly.

I don't know what the best solution is either, freezing the account may not be the answer. I hope CH logs in and say 'whats up man,I was just on holiday here are your IOTA' and proves us wrong otherwise there is someone out there that thinks it's acceptable to take peoples bitcoins and we are allowing them to get away with it..
I find this hard to accept because it would mean there are at least 12 other people at a loss before the launch. Im not demanding answers from @Iotatoken I just think there has been a lot of speculation based around this subject and the devs are the only ones that can fix it.

thanks for your opinion but you are only saying this because you have not been effected by the theft. The lesson has now been learnt by many users but this does still not make it OK to steal, regardless of escrow or anything else. I do not see the harm in freezing the account and reimbursing the buyers that were effected. It would have nothing but a positive outcome for IOTA by building trust within the community.

I am not expecting @Iotatoken to be the police for future scammers but I do believe that it is their moral duty to fix this particular issue as it will be at no expense to do so in these early stages.

I'm asking @iotatoken directly to come up with a decision regarding this matter before launch for 2 reasons.

1. It will become harder to deal with once launch is complete
2. I will need to find more IOTA before Thursday !!

Kind Regards,

FT

If it has been confirmed that Child_harold was a scammer (I hope not) then I really hope a decision has been by @iotatoken to reimburse the buyers before launch. CH seemed very trustworthy to me and was working closely with some hero members. I agree that escrow should have been used but with new technology comes a lot of new users with a low level of understanding. I also believe it would be immoral to let multiple buyers (10+) lose out on such an awesome opportunity just because one member decided to steal. This is not comparable to the DAO attack as it is pre-launch and @iotatoken can freeze the account of the so called thief and reimburse the buyers at no expense.

For me reimbursing the buyers would solidify the IOTA team as a legitimate company that counts some of its earliest investors as valuable contributors.

or even better Child_harold returns a hero from his vacation and follows through with the order..

@iotatoken do we have any answers?

FT
