hi,
I just don't understand the parameters. How can I mod it? Any guide?

Is there a way to apply raw memory timing strap(96 character one) like claymore does?
I'm using A RX 580 4gb sapphire nitro+ on windows
Thanks

Thank you very much. I’ll try these out today.

But one question. In crypt0.zone I’ve seen many coin having a higher profitability when having the same Algo compared to the lower ones. When I mine in the Pools you mentioned will I mine a coin or Algo??

Services or pools like Nicehash

Hi, I’ve been mining on Nicehash since I started mining. I’ve read many threads saying Nicehash is less profitable than other coin specific pool. I didn’t changed Nicehash for two reasons.

1.I mine in  my regular PC (2x Rx 580,R5 1600X). I thought my payout would be really slow & I may not even get a proper payout when the coin holds its price(specially the cpu mining).

2. My only way to convert mined coins to fiat is through Localbitcoins. Which is only for Bitcoins. So I can’t convert other coins to fiat.

But now I’m seeing that my payout is really low as Nicehash doesn’t mine coins but algos.

Herehttps://crypt0.zone/calculator/s/f2r5gl1f I Always see some coin hovering around 1$/day.
‘course these doesn’t last long. So I can’t mine those coin with my little hashing power & there’s also the payout issue.

So, Is there other pools or services like Nicehash that auto switches to the most profitable coin(not Algo) & pays me in BTC?

If not, Is anything other than Nicehash offers the same but the profitability is higher?

(I’ve heard about minergate but doesn’t know if that’s more profitable than Nicehash)

Thanks.

Most important is to get the right polaris bios editor. SRB has a fork that automatically sets your memory strap/timings for 30 mega hash performance.

ps, try coinfoundry.org as your ethereum pool it has good uptime and tech support. You'll have to be more patient at a smaller pool like coin foundry but we should not be contributing to the centralization of ethereum by mining on ethermine.org and other mega pools.

coinfoundry.org !  Roll Eyes

Can you please give me any link regarding the right Polaris Bios Editor? Smiley

Bios Mod for different Algo.

Hi everyone,

A few days back I got 2 Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 4gb (elpida) GPU. I've seen many people on internet modding their bios & getting a better hashrate than before.

As I'm new to bios modding, I tried to download some modded bios. But, it seemed the SKU value is different in all cases. For my model the SKU is-11265-07-41G. Rather than having this SKU value I've found 11265-07-20G in all modded bios on the internet. The fun fact is when I click LOOKUP in GPU-Z it refers me to a web page of 11265-07-20G SKU number.

Would this be a problem if I apply those modded bios?

I've also found different bios for different Algo. Such as, for ETH there's a different bios & for XMR their is a different bios.

I'll mine with Nicehash. Currently Nicehash has selected DaggerHashimoto for my card. It(the algo) may change overtime.

So, how can I tell which bios mod is best suitable for different types of algo?

I'll play games in my desktop. So, it would be better to have a non-aggressive modded bios.(Can I really play games using modded bios?)

Is there any good Tutorial regarding bios modding  & is there any chance that the GPU may degrade in time(3-4 years)? Some redditor claimed that their GPU degraded in a few weeks.

Thank you All.

Ohh. Then which pool should I use to mine?

There are lots of pools to pick from and i wouldn't spend too much time analyzing which is the best for you as there is very little to no difference at all. Out-of-the-box, Nanopool would be one of the most historically established pools and works great to get your miner running immediately. The fact that they can help you by automatically generating a config file for your miner sold me to them instantly.

They have pools for other coins too but for Monero, check them out here: https://xmr.nanopool.org

Ok. I’ll look into that today.

move your miner to xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:9050

i think this is only pool that accept very low diff for your miner, you will get 10 times more share then nh

Are you sure?
If it’s true then I’ll be getting 10 times more earning from nicehash. That sounds too good to be true

well, when will they solve it?
any ideas?

You could always open a support ticket.  I use XMR-STAK ... Super stable.

With nicehash? Aren't you getting 3-5% rejected shares? If not may I ask what your ping is?

Yes I meant open a support ticket with NH.  No I'm not getting 3-5% rejected shares with XMR-STAK ... According to my stats I've had 2 rejected shares out of 68,906.  Ping to the pool address is 40ms.

Thanks for the info. My ping is around 100ms...perhaps the main reason of my rejects (they come right after a new block..submitted too late  Sad ).
Other than that, xmr-stak is the best option if setup properly.

What pool are you using?  I'm using supportxmr.

Cheesy I'm using nicehash. Tried all possible miners, either getting low hashrate poolside or lots of rejects.

Since there is no service like Nicehash that offers low payout amount, this is our only hope. Cry

Your only hope?   Grin Grin Grin ... LOL ... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.  It's your only hope, if you're worried about daily profit.  Fuckin NH niggas can't see the writing on the wall ... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Ohh. Then which pool should I use to mine?

Have you read how to setting-up again after hard fork at your mining pool site?
Maybe there's you must add "-pow7 1" to command line. Because after hard fork if you are not add "-pow7 1" your rig will not mining.
Or maybe the DAG not load correctly.

Yes. I have added the command line & everything is mining v7. So no problem with that. Smiley

Miner stops mining Randomly
by
Ferdous Hossain
on 15/05/2018, 01:43:01 UTC
After the monero hard fork, I used XMR stak, but it crashed or more likely stopped GPU mining randomly. So, I switched to XMRig. Same result. Then used SRB GPU miner. It also showed 0 H/S found.
Only Claymore worked out.
But if I check the online stats in Nicehash, the projected payout drops to a value which is the value of CPU mining after a while.

What am I missing? I think there is some problem in my settings.

Thank you all.

Re: Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v4.0

How can I set CPU Affinity  Manually in Windows 10?

I need to set the CPU affinity like this- 1,3,4,5,7,9,10,11  because I use the PC while mining & it increases my hashrate
But I can't set it with batch file or with firedaemon pro.

Everytime I set it, the miner uses only core4.
I tried this command in batch file- cmd.exe /c start " Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v4.0" /affinity 75D "C:\Users\rabbi\OneDrive\Desktop\Mining\Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v4.0 - POOL\NsCpuCNMiner64.exe"
I also tried firedaemon with Dec value. same result.

I know I can set the affinity in Task Manager. but it's a pain to set it every time I run the  miner.

It seems to me that there is no option in the miner to set affinity.what to type in the bat file if I want to set the affinity 1,3,4,5,7,9,10,11?

IF I set the affinity from task manager the Hash is capped at 523 (processor ryzen 5 1600X), though I mined it at 585 H/s(average 578)

So, I can't set affinity in Claymore?

You can't set affinity in Claymore its already at 100%,   but the great thing about his cpu miner is you can also gpu mine
other coins while running it with out hurting gpu's on the same computer.

I don't need 100% as, I use the PC while mining.
SO, it decreases hash rate a lot.
So manual affinity setting would be really helpful

Thank you. I'll mine tonight with it & report back in the morning.

one thing, which one I should prefer claymore or XMR stak?

XMR-Stak, gives you better hashrate and it has better tweaking.

But, I get almost 20% rejected share using XMR stak. but no rejected share while using Claymore. Huh

you can set affinity for any process on windows using START command:

Code:
start /affinity 1 app.exe     (only use CPU 0)
start /affinity 2 app.exe     (only use CPU 1)
start /affinity 1F app.exe    (only use CPUs 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4)

yes, of course. but I need to set the affinity as 1,3,4,5,7,9,10,11
