Re: Bitcoin Is More Than an Investment—It’s a Lifestyle.

Simply, is Bitcoin the ultimate tool to fight against the censored banking system?

IMO, yes it is. Bitcoin isn't even a money yet because governments has to make it a legal tender to be accepted as currency but it becomes storage of value and often we can find how people call it as digital gold. Still not many even who is holding bitcoin understand these things, for them bitcoin is an asset that appreciates quickly so they bought with the rigged paper money and will not hesitate to sell them for that paper money again.

Re: If losing $20 per day in gambling makes us happy...
by
Findingnemo
on 29/05/2025, 20:47:57 UTC
It depends? Especially based on the income of the person. If I make $200 a day and $20 is 10% of it then so it's not wise to spend that much but if someone is making $1000 a day and $20 is nothing for them so it solely depends on our affordability. I won't suggest gambling as a habit even though it brings fun, because it is highly addictive and we can never be so sure that we will stop at $20 on every successive day that passes by.

Keep it random and enjoy the chaos. Smiley

Re: How do expert players manage their bankroll in sports betting?
by
Findingnemo
on 29/05/2025, 18:33:40 UTC
I don't bet on sports that often, but when I do it will be like a small amount $10 to $25 max and it will be the same whether my balance is $50 or $500. Slots is different, I just buy the bonus feature and try my luck instead of regular and being aggressive if I win big and try to use at least 50% of those wins again back on bets with the hope of winning again. Cheesy

I won't call it is a strategy, just madness when I want to be that way. Wink

Re: Request a new Defination for Merit Sources every 3 Month !
by
Findingnemo
on 29/05/2025, 18:02:24 UTC
I don't know, I repeat, I'm speaking from the point of view of a merits source with 45 monthly smerits
doing the rotation every 3 months for this misery makes no sense

It makes sense to split up those who have too many and perhaps can't give them all and do, I don't know, instead of one merit source of 1000, two of 500

It seems to me the most logical choice
From your perspective it will be a good thing to do but Loycev explained it better, the merits are not scarce so no point in reducing one to increase another unless the admin want to keep the merit distribution to a certain number for some reason. But 45? That's too low, theymos should review them once in a while and whoever exhausts their merits should get a 10% increase after a cycle, which can be 3 months or 6 months, and it can keep on going.

~
For the sake this maybe mentally stressful in keeping all posts on tracks, it may not be easy for such users to keep posting on the regular
~
As I said, being active doesn't necessarily mean posting more, it is about how much time they spend on reading others' post and able to make a judgment whether it will be helpful for others too and encourage such posts with merits. Posting frequency is their preference and no one should force change their posting habit just because they are in signature campaign.

Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.Game - Casino & Sportsbook | Leicester City FC 🦊🦊🦊

I miss the sponsored games from bc.Game in the games and rounds section, as well as their sponsored events here on bitcointalk, like the Pizza Day. It seems like they’ve shifted their focus to the signature campaign instead which is fine since it gives them more visibility here on bitcointalk.

But I hope their promotions here on bitcointalk could also be more related to their website like a multiplier contest or sportsbook odds contest exclusive for bitcointalk members. Not like before where you'd guess goal times or bitcoin price prediction. At least with those multi and odds contest their site would directly benefit. Right?

I don't participate in such events but lots of community members actively participate in it and I checked BC offered lot of events in the recent and I can see on in this month too so it's not like they moved their interests but it could be something bigger. Anyway they are spending a lot for the promotion here so I don't think give small rewards isn't big of a deal for a platform of this big. Keep watching...

Re: Does microfinance actually work?
by

on 27/05/2025, 19:47:28 UTC
We know that traditional banks usually only give out loans to those who think they can actually pay back and are very strict with the money they will give. Do you think that microfinance help the poor or are there other ways to get out of poverty?

Either the commercial banks or the Fintech banks, they all grants their customers access to loans. Although the commerical banks could be more strict with the poor on that request because even when you goes to process transactions in the banks, the bank officials will always attend to you specially while the poor will be treated optional.
The Microfinance institutions is always acted friendly like the neighborhood, at some point, the could even grant your loan request without demanding for collateral unlike the commercial banks that acts biased. The only thing skeptic about the Fintech banks is that some had acted like the Ponzi in the past where customers
It is because bank needs lot of documents to provide a secured loan so yeah they need to make sure the borrower got the capability of paying it back except you are too rich they will just pump money on you. While these small loans offers accessibility to poor with high interest rates or simply less time frame but these are all offered to consume something not really to make anything productive, right?

They won't offer you a small loan if you are going to buy books but the same compnay will give you loan to buy an iPhone, which makes it pretty clear what their intention is behind this strategy.

Re: unrealistic target make us lose in gambling
by
Findingnemo
on 27/05/2025, 18:23:09 UTC
Have you ever noticed how gambling gets frustrating when you aim high but your capital is too small?

Like, let’s say you have a $10 bankroll but you’re aiming to win $500. Most of the time, you end up frustrated and then you lose control. You start chasing because you realize you're way too far from your goal, and your bankroll is quickly disappearing.

It’s happened to me many times. That’s why I think it’s better to do the opposite: start with a decent capital and aim for smaller, more realistic wins. It keeps you grounded and helps you manage your emotions better.

Going with the expectation of winning big is not a great sign, yes it is possible to turn $10 into $500 on your lucky day but it should be a lucky day and on any other day you just give your $10 to the casino and return to your shell with nothing.

It's not really greed, or is it? When did someone have such an expectation?

I don't know, but I will never go with such a mindset to avoid regrets.

It's a weird development in scams: back in the days, scammers made small promises. Nowadays, scammers promise billions and somehow that's what earns them the most money.
Well, bitcoin was worth a few cents, then it reached a single-digit dollar value, then two, and so on. Currently, it's at six-digit figures, so it makes sense, right?

I bet OP already lost some money, which is why he is asking for the location with the hope he can get back his money. Good Luck, buddy!

It's a reminder to anyone who thinks that I am using Mac and iOS so I am completely safe from malware. Cheesy
No operating system is completely safe from malware, and macOS is no exception but at least better than Windows, which faces tens of thousands of malware threats.
This is what I am talking about, windows affected mostly because more apps available for people to download which includes OS itself so piracy is what makes the platform vulnerable not the actual one. Anyway as you and others said no OS is safe, we ought to keep ourselves secured in every possible way but the fact is we can never be sure because some attacks are so complicated that we only know when attackers asking for ransom. That's why don't take chances move to airgapped device so that you can be sure it's safe.

Re: do you track your losses?
by

on 26/05/2025, 19:18:20 UTC
I don't track my wins and loss, what I do is just wipe my balance when I complete my session so I knew exactly how much I deposited and now how much I am withdrawing. Overall profit is irrelevant to me because there's no point in managing the sheet of all out bets and results and if we started doing that then I don't know it it will be fun anymore? Roll Eyes

I track my losses some times and I don’t really do that like routinely but, I do have times when I look at what I’ve lost in the times I’ve had to play over the period of a week. Should I see a lot of losses, it just motivates me to find some wining bets and I do eventually. At least to cut back on some of those losses I’ve had to suffer. It’s usually not a very good sight but yeah, it has some relevance to me. I hope to see some more greens than them reds.
I do check my overall winnings once in a while but it's not something I check everytime, we all want to win while gambling but the fact is it's beyond our control so all we can do is hope that is one of the reason why I avoid because whatever we do the results are not in our hands so better let it be and enjoy while we gamble and when it feels like we are losing more then call it a day and withdraw the remaining balance instead of going hard and losing more.

Re: Do you think games are rig to extend the series?
by
Findingnemo
on 26/05/2025, 16:33:03 UTC
To those following the NBA Conference Finals.. have you noticed anything?

I’ve always believed that the NBA is still a business. More games = more money. So it makes sense that the league would benefit from extending a series as much as possible.

With that said, do you believe there’s some level of conspiracy between the league management and the referees to help one team get more favorable calls, just to make sure the series goes longer?

Curious to hear your thoughts.
One game is valued at 10 million if I am not wrong or that's what I heard in a podcast so I won't be surprised if they are found doing something like that but it's unlikely to be cause the amount at stake is in billions or even more so if they try to make 10 million they are taking a huge risk of busting everything so it's professionally fair not like our suspicion.

And if ref is becoming biased then it will be obvious and they might take a hit so in this highly surveillance world it's not possible to play the cards in every possible way.

Re: Being an institution in the trading journey
by
Findingnemo
on 26/05/2025, 13:06:52 UTC
I wanted to ask these questions too because what I understand as institution in trading is different from the definition the OP gave. Institution that I know in trading are like the market makers who have huge capital that they move the market when they execute their trades. They are also regarded as Smart Money and there are several technical analysis strategies that claim to be trading inline with them. The aspect of teaching others our trading strategy does not make trading institutionalized rather it could just be a way of sustaining the family legacy if trading is the major occupation of the family.
People who are fucking rich won't even dare to say that I only rely on trading for my income because they know it will be a lie and what we see are minions who just pretends to be rich just only to make money from others. Whereas brokers are licensed who don't really approach the customers, but the users will approach them to manage their savings and take a cut as well as commissions for each trade and in overall profits.

Let's remove the top 1% from the equation who all are rich mostly due to a brand or company they created now come back to middle class and I am talking about wider scale not one or few in particular, their hopes are on savings and investments for their retirement so yeah investments makes people rich or atleast stable when they can't make anymore. But there's no compulsion that you should only be an investor, it's not even that hard, just keep working and spend a gery little time to plan your investment.

But those who are wise makes institution like an academy were people trade for them while they go to sleep, In  that  way they are giving back to society and making profit for themselves.
You mean the fund managers? Or the people who claim we will do the trading for you because it is illegal to trade on behalf of someone else, so make sure the one you are trusting is licensed under the SEC or the respective regulatory bodies of the country. We can see tons of advertisements all over the internet that they are teaching how to make profits or we assist you in trading by what to do, etc but mostly they are just scams.

I see people commenting that it exists where gambling is prohibited but it exists almost everywhere only because the gamblers don't want to pay taxes and there's high rollers involved here too if they want to launder their money made from other sources or simply it offers more exclusive games that we can never witness in common life. Might be I am influenced after watching Squid games but it's real, in some middle eastern cities where these things are prohibited but made available due to the demand.
Correct, underground gambling is run mostly by syndicates that use this operation to gain profit without paying taxes and at the same time deal with other illegal goods.

There’s a recent issue in my country about this underground gambling called POGO, they have license in the surface operation but they have other illegal services such as human trafficking, drugs and many more that happening behind.
It is what it is, and to be honest even government officials aware of those activities but they will be paid to keep their mouth shut on regular basis, once in a while there will be some news about looking for them but it is not really possible to stop them as long as we have the corrupt judicial system where we can buy the judgement in favour of us with legal loopholes and even if there's no way there will be a pawn to go down instead of the real one, we see those in movies but that is happening in reality too.

I doubt they or anyone celebrate every day if there's an X and Y day that comes up in real life, and making posts about some important events is not a crime, but it's just obvious when they started posting about Brother's Day. Grin

And they don't have a separate local board, just a thread where the discussion keeps on going, and in that case it can be pretty annoying when someone starts doing things out of nowhere only because they noticed merits are awarded for such posts while others does what is the core reason of being here which is about discuss bitcoin and crypto related matters.

Re: Use a small amount even if you have a big budget.
by
Findingnemo
on 24/05/2025, 21:32:15 UTC
Most of the time we regret buying something when we see the price drop. Then we don't have any more dollars to buy. But if we divide our total dollars into three or four parts and buy slowly at each down, then the chances of profit are high. And if we get profit after buying first, then we will sell. For this reason, I think it is better to invest little by little instead of investing all the dollars at once. What is your opinion?
It doesn't guarantee you more profits either, Instead you can create multiple orders with different price that you wish to buy so the trade will be executed automatically when the price hits, and it;s not new since most of the bots fills the trade history with all the prices so chances of getting it is alsm slim unless there's enough liquidity to actually buy at that price.

If you want to maximize your profits, buy when the market dumps hard and just wait for the green days to be back which is nothing but buy low and sell high.
