I Don 't get it. Luna classic was a project about a new way for payments and especially stable coins. It filedruk misserably. Luna 2.0 does not have the core of the project the stable coin. Why invest in failed and soon to be completely dead projects.

Beter dump the USDT it is not safe. Theydo not hsve sufficient backing. You neede to manage risks in this bear market and USDT is a big risk uou should not take. USDC is safer.

Luna was flawed from the start and so is Luna 2.0.  To bad so many got scammed and the crypto community got danmaged so much by the Do Kwon fraud. So please stop making new topics about these dead projects.

But people who did DYOR did not invest in Terra.

Usdt is a risky not pegged shitcoin. The only reason it is used a lot is because it was the first anc for dome strange reason people keep using it. There is to much smoke there that there must be a fire.

Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin?

I think you could start by asking yourself why do i want to buy altcoins? Pending on the answer you would have to look at different thing. What is the risk i am willing to take what is my horizon? Etc.

If you are in it for the long term look at established coins that have a good history. If you are looking yo get rich quickly go with the flow.........and hope for the best. The selection of voins is the last thing to do and also have a plan and stick to it soemotions do not get the better of you.

Iwanted tobuy bitcoin in 2013, butmy wife toldmenot to buy it because it had no underlying value........so i did not buy any. During the last bull run i bought for a little bit and got interested in the different projects and the different ways to work with crypto. There is so much to learn so many concepts. I really love it!

Re: HOLDING TOKEN TO EARN DIVIDENDS

I was thingking about staking coins like trx and zilliqa. The staking rewards are not to high, but reasonable. My idea is that with 10% plus once the bull market ever gets of again you will have some exposure and still earned something. I am still looking in wich coins i would like to stake taking into account the risks involved and possible yield. Cake has extremely high rewards, but won 't that affect tre price to much so that you ultimately gain nothing but only more tokens with extremely high inflation. Perhaps these are stupid questions, but i am rather new to crypto and am not looking for fast money, but for ways to make a bit on the long term without trading are daily having to look to see what is going on.

If there are errors in my spelling English is unfortunately not my native language!

Re: Is USDT Tether safe?

Since they never had a real audit i do not think it is safe and would stay clear from it as much as possible.
Is there an institution that deserves to audit tether.to? I don't know if any institution has the right to audit a crypto project. By the way, even a project is audited, I am not sure the team will publish the detail to the public. You must contact the team privately if you are really curious about the audit. FYI, for me, as long as it is one of the top crypto coins, it will be quite safe although no audit announcement on the site.

Thank you for your reply. Afther carefully evaluating the information about USDT I decided not to use it because of the reasons I have given. How everybody else draws their conclusions is of course fine by me. I only wanted to state that there have been some issues in the past. For me that is a red flag, but I sincerely hooe there will never be any problems with USDT since it got so big in marketcapital. I am currently looking at Dai.

Today, the tether continues to print 250 million tether, raising the tether's market capitalization to more than $ 2.7 billion to reach the top 10 coinmarketcap. People say that every time a tether is printed, the bitcoin price increases because the tether pumped USDT onto the floor to push the bitcoin price. What do you think about this and keep the USDT safe?
USDT is certainly safe because the price of USDT always follows the current FIAT currency, so there is no need to worry anymore about transferring our assets to this token, and almost all markets certainly use USDT pairs to some of the coins traded on that market.

If usdt is not backed by enough decent assets than it is a high risk that you are taking. Since they never had a real audit i do not think it is safe and would stay clear from it as much as possible.

Since there are no official audits. I would not put my money in Tether. They have been in the news many times and not for good reason. Better put it in your bank account or another stablecoin which is audited.

That does not mean that there will be problems with tether, only if everybody wants to exit tether and they do not have enough funds to cover will it create problems. So as long as the trust stays it will be all right.

Related to this topic i have been looking at the different yfi tokens and spin ofs. I bought some yfi wich i invested in the vault as a experiment. But looking at YFII i see the token price at 2000 $. If you look at the project it appears to be completely dead with about 3.000.000 in the vaults. So i amwondering who want to buy those tokens at such a high price? There is no revenue are nearly no revenue. Is it only the scarcity of the token? But if you want to go for value only why not buy bitcoin instead?

Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto

I am new to the forum and rather new to the crypto markets. I do invest in other assets for more than 20 years. The crypto world is new and strange compared to the Cefi world. I think most people who tend to lose a lot are probably going with the hype and do no research. In my opinion the crypto markets are still in the infancy stage and have not yet fully matured. In investing you have the risk reward theory. The higher the risk the higher the rewards. The rewards you sometimes see in the crypto are so extremely high that they involve huge risks. Most newbies probably do not realize this and are being fed the stories of people who became overnight millionaires with doge or another shitcoin. All the people who lost a lot of money rarely make it to the news.

I started a couple of months ago on the height of the last bull run with a couple of 100 dollars. I lost half of it playing with it, last weeks i am reading a lot and watch youtube for information about the different concepts. The potential of crypto is huge, but to me it appears there are also many developments that make it extremely risky. But since investing is also a hobby i think i will be enjoying myself the next few years!
