Malwarebytes is the one I like best, sounds like you have it covered.

Slushpool was my favourite.  Never had any problems with them.  I liked their user interface.
I do miss the mining days.  Made it all more real, and was fun.  Hope you're able to block this hacker.

Might want to check this Forum section and repost the problem.  Might get help from people that have been-there-done-that.

Be sure the computer you're using to configure it doesn't have any keyloggers on it.  Maybe he's capturing your password each time you change it.

I used to mine, but don't anymore.  I believe I read something recently about a firmware update, and that people were complaining about how insecure the update itself was.  My guess is that he's probably not hacking your password, but exploiting a security weakness.  Anyhow...sorry I can't be more helpful, but hopefully this gives you something to look into.

Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin
by
Fitzy

Well, just to understand the "swap" correctly: The eBTC are in my wallet (= on the blockchain), so nobody can actually take them and sawp them for a new token. So I guess the swap in this case means we will all be credited with new tokens (while the old ones will of course remain on the blockchain), so the effect will be similar to a hard fork, correct? It then remains to be seen what each token will be worth. Is my thinking correct?

Yes, your original eBTC tokens will remain in your wallet and an equal amount of new ones will be added.
You will just need to use your wallet's option to "add a custom token" (once they publish it the new smart contract address) to be able to see the new tokens.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of that.

Anyone posting info from their bounty application (usernames, addresses, etc.) or anything alongside the lines of "joined X", "looking forward to getting X", "thanks for the opportunity", "filled out form", "signed up for X", "applied", "following / liked / retweeted X" when such data is not required or the requirement is against the forum's rules risk having their account banned.

With all these rules, the bitcointalk moderators are gonna be swamped when mass adoption starts.  I almost don't want to post anything...and I'm probably breaking some rules with this one.  lol

Has anyone else had trouble sending/receiving ERC from Bittrex?

A few days ago, I tried sending a small amount to Bittrex and shortly afterwards they changed ERC into maintenance.  After they went back to normal, my deposit never showed up, and my wallet still shows the transaction with 2,743 confirmations.

Today I tried sending a small amount again.  I now have 62 confirmations showing on my wallet for the transaction, but Bittrex doesn't show any pending deposits, and a zero ERC balance.

Is there are site where we can check what the current block is?  It appears I'm on a different chain, and I have 6 connections.
Current number of blocks: 931588.

getblockbynumber 931588

I just noticed something else that's very strange.  Every block since 888088 has a proofhash of all zeros.  Every block I look at before block 888088 has a valid proofhash...

getblockbynumber 888087
"proofhash" : "0000051411e70ef15cfcda8f1c7f13a8354a18be49f82cfc4d62156d0a0684db",

Well, my issue turned out to be Bittrex's issue.  I noticed their ERC wallet was in maintenance again yesterday.  Today it's back to normal, and both my deposits appeared.  Smiley

Re: My apology to Scrypt.cc confirmed no scam, restoring all stolen kh/s
by

on 05/03/2016, 13:50:40 UTC
Scrypt.cc is a total scam.  I deposited a small amount just to test them.

I always felt it was sketchy, but now I'm sure of it.  I've tried three times now to sell my hashing power and withdraw my BTC.  It always says that the ETA to payment is 20 minutes...for at least 3 days.  Then suddenly there's no trace of the withdraw and it's been re-invested back into hashing power.  Rinse/repeat, but at a lower price now because the cost of hashing power is constantly dropping.

Today I made one final attempt and by the time I finished filling in the withdrawal information, my funds had already been converted back into hashing power and gave me an error message that I had insufficient funds.

They will never allow you to withdraw your funds.  It's complete bogus.

I'm stuck there too.  Even after going back to a database copy I made on Feb 19th.  It synced up to block 902229 and stopped there still saying, "Not in sync".

I'm now trying an earlier database copy from Feb 6th., but it's been sitting at block 888,587 for about 10 minutes now, trying to sync, but not moving forward.  Doesn't look very promising either because the total estimated number of blocks is....902,229.

If nothing happens within the next 10 minutes, I'll start over and sync from the start.
